A.J. HAMMER, HOST: Osbourne heartbreak. Ozzy Osbourne`s son reveals he has multiple sclerosis. The former reality star just settled into fatherhood. And now, he`s dealt this major blow. Tonight, inside Jack Osbourne`s personal battle.

(MUSIC)

Hello and thank you for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer. Tonight, Lindsay`s new scare. Lindsay Lohan speaks out about the health drama that sent paramedics rushing to her hotel room.

But first, tonight, Osbourne family heartbreak. Big shock waves tonight after Jack Osbourne revealed his stunning health crisis.

He is battling multiple sclerosis. The 26-year-old son of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne is himself a new dad. His baby girl born just two weeks ago.

But the sweet story of his new life as a family man was turned on its head after he received the devastating news. But if there is one thing that I have learned about the Osbournes is that they are a family of fighters, and Jack is certainly no different.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Right now, there is something going on with Jack.

SHARON OSBOURNE, CO-HOST, "THE TALK": Yes.

HAMMER (voice-over): Today`s episode of "The Talk" began with a very somber announcement about co-host Sharon Osbourne`s son, Jack. But an emotional Sharon could barely get the words out.

S. OSBOURNE: Jack will be here on Wednesday to talk about his diagnosis, but he is great. He is doing really, really good. And I want to thank everyone for all their texts and goodwill.

HAMMER: It eventually fell to host Julie Chen to reveal to the audience what Sharon so obviously had trouble saying.

JULIE CHEN, CO-HOST: He has announced in "People" magazine that he has multiple sclerosis. And -

HAMMER: Twenty-six-year-old Jack Osbourne tells the new "People" magazine he was diagnosed with MS just two weeks after he and his fiancee welcomed a new baby daughter, Pearl Clementine, in April.

Jack tells "People," quote, "I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, `Why now?` I`ve got a family and that`s supposed to be the most important thing."

CHARLOTTE TRIGGS, SENIOR WRITER, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: It is really just devastating. He has just become a father and he has all this new responsibility as a new dad. To have to deal with the diagnosis on top of it has been really difficult for him.

HAMMER: "People`s" Charlotte Triggs tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT the diagnosis came as a shock.

TRIGGS: Jack first experienced some vision loss. And because of that, he went to the doctor and the doctor actually informed him that he had MS.

MS is a disease that attacks the central nervous system and it can actually cause problems in all different ways including vision, balance and muscular strength. As of right now, the severity of the disease is unclear, but it has been very difficult to deal with this diagnosis.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that Jack`s diagnosis has thrown this foul-mouthed -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: If you get busted I will (EXPLETIVE DELETED) bust your ass!

HAMMER: But extremely tight family for a loop.

TRIGGS: This has been very difficult for his family. His mother has been really devastated.

HAMMER: Jack and the rest of the Osbournes entertained millions during their groundbreaking MTV reality show.

JACK OSBOURNE, FORMER REALITY TV STAR: She had to lift this.

S. OSBOURNE: No. You get that (EXPLETIVE DELETED) thing out right now.

HAMMER: But in real life, this family has dealt with more serious problems than most. Sharon Osbourne battled colon cancer in 2002.

The next year, Ozzie Osbourne was nearly killed in a serious ATV accident. Plus, Ozzie, Jack and Kelly have each battled serious drug problems.

PIERS MORGAN, HOST, "PIERS MORGAN TONIGHT": The Osbournes seem to have been blessed by extraordinary bad luck.

HAMMER: But appearing on CNN`s "PIERS MORGAN TONIGHT," Ozzie, Sharon and Jack disagreed that they have had bad luck.

OZZIE OSBOURNE, REALITY TV STAR: In a way the bad luck and the good luck, and remarkable -

S. OSBOURNE: No, it`s always there or here. It`s never mid-ground.

MORGAN: Never boring, is it?

S. OSBOURNE: No.

HAMMER: Now that he has been diagnosed with MS, Jack is struggling not to treat this as a death sentence. He tweeted to his followers, quote, "Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words. It means a lot."

TRIGGS: This is a disease that can affect people in all different ways. For some, you know, you don`t really have symptoms all that often. But for others, it can be debilitating. Jack is determined to have a positive outlook.

S. OSBOURNES: I really believe that vibes and prayers help.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, good energy.

S. OSBOURNE: Good energy -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Good energy your way.

HAMMER: And that positive attitude is something that his mother is struggling to emulate.

S. OSBOURNE: What I am doing right now is not helping because I am just feeling sorry for myself, and that is no good. So we have to think positively.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: It is so brave for Jack to be opening up about this scary diagnosis because I really think it does help everyday people who are suffering from MS or know someone who is.

With me from Chicago tonight, Sheryl Lee Ralph, who is the author of "Redefining Diva: Life Lessons from the Original Dream Girl." From Atlanta tonight, Jenn Hobby who is the co-host of "The Bert Show" and an entertainment reporter.

So look, guys, there have been so many words of encouragement for Jack. In fact, his sister, Kelly, also tweeted a special message I wanted to read to you, "Please support my brother, Mr. Jacko, in not only his bravery, but honesty. I love you so much, Jack, and I am so proud of you."

And I know that Jack going public with his story is certainly going to inspire a lot of people. We have seen it so often in the past. Michael J. Fox comes to mind. Just recently, Robin Roberts revealing her newest health battle.

Stars really have an impact when they share their personal crisis, Sheryl Lee, don`t they?

SHERYL LEE RALPH, AUTHOR, "REDEFINING DIVA": Absolutely. It gives people strength. It gives people hope to know when they see a star dealing with their health issues, to get that feeling that says that, "Yes, I can fight this fight."

My heart goes out to the entire family because I can only imagine how they feel. But he is going to give somebody strength. But also what`s been said over and over is this is an interesting disease.

You have different levels of the disease. It can be very debilitating. But at the same time, some people deal with MS and you hardly know that they have it.

So I am going to ask God to bless him with the kind that lets him hardly know that he has it, so he can enjoy that brand-new baby girl of his.

HAMMER: Yes, I have known people who have had MS for decades and while certainly it can make things very difficult, people can live with it.

RALPH: Yes.

HAMMER: And Jack has a lot of people in his corner sending him strength tonight. So we wish you all the best, Jack. There is another star I want to move on to who`s making news tonight.

Lindsay Lohan now setting the record straight on her own health scare. Paramedics were called to Lindsay`s hotel room. This was after she missed her call time on the set of her new movie.

Let me read to you what Lindsay tweeted. She wrote, "Note to self - after working 85 hours in four days and being up all night shooting, be very aware that you might pass out from exhaustion and seven paramedics might show up at your door. Hopefully they`re cute. Otherwise, it would be a let-down."

OK. Look, Lindsay can joke about it, but people around her were really scared. They were scared enough that they called for help, Jenn.

JENN HOBBY, CO-HOST, "THE BERT SHOW": Yes.

HAMMER: Do you think she is trying a little too hard to make it clear that nothing is really wrong here? Or is it a good thing that she is having a little fun with it?

HOBBY: Oh, I mean, I think she had to address it and she had to reach out to her fans and certainly downplay any emergency situation.

But can you blame them? Can you blame the producers on the set who were worried about her and overreacted in that way? I think that they probably did the right thing calling the paramedics right way, just checking on her, making sure she is all right.

She is a big star. She`s trying to get back on track. But with a troubled past like that, what can she expect from those around her?

HAMMER: Yes, and I have to tell you, there were actually people chuckling in the newsroom today. There were people going, "Oh, here we go again."

You know, when we found out Lindsay was sleeping though, everybody kind of laughed it off. The sad part is, given Lindsay`s history, as you say, Jenn, we have come to expect this type of drama from her. Look, I am happy she is OK.

RALPH: Yes. Right.

HAMMER: But Sheryl Lee, isn`t it more surprising that it wasn`t a dramatic story after all? I mean, come on?

HOBBY: It`s great that it wasn`t a dramatic story.

RALPH: Let me tell you - yes. It`s great that it wasn`t a dramatic story, and it`s much better than running into a garbage truck.

But sleeping - honey, you`ve got chances, baby. Don`t waste these chances. And if you don`t like them, give them to me. I`ll use them for you. Love you, Lindsay.

HAMMER: Let me move on to somebody who is taking every chance she can get right now, octomom, Nadya Suleman. But she is reportedly sued by a Florida strip club because she backed out of one opportunity, scheduled performances at the strip club next month.

Now, according to reports, Nadya got a lot of backlash for booking the gig and she bailed because she was afraid for her safety. Jenn, do you think the club needs to kind of give the octomom a break in this case?

HOBBY: No. I think octomom needs to show up. Listen, you`ve got kids to feed. You`ve got bills to pay. You need to go to work.

I mean, if this is what your work is going to be, bring some security guards with you. Go and do what you said you were going to do. You signed up for the contract. You go to the strip club and take your clothes off.

HAMMER: If you are going to strip, then you`ve got to strip.

RALPH: Oh, my god.

HAMMER: I`m with - you are right, Jenn. You know, she should just hire some security guards with a little bit of the extra money. All right. Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jenn Hobby, I thank you both.

We move on now to Kim Kardashian`s transformation. Well, Kim K opened up to Oprah about the aftermath of her 72-day marriage.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OPRAH WINFREY, MEDIA MOGUL: When you say I apologize to anyone whom I might have hurt, are you talking about Kris?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You have got to hear what Kim says. And SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, is Kim Kardashian a changed woman, really?

Victor Newman, the man, the myth, the soap opera legend. He`s certainly one of the best TV villains of all time.

But in real life, I`m here to tell you, Eric Braeden is an awesome guy, and he is right here tonight as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT kicks off our week-long party before the Daytime Emmys. Tonight, we are getting tales from a TV icon.

Eric is up against another daytime star the fans love to loathe, John McCook, who plays Eric Forrester on "The Bold and Beautiful." John just told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that, after 25 years, he is thrilled to be nominated for a second Daytime Emmy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOHN MCCOOK, ACTOR: If you are working in daytime television, you`re not going to be nominated for, you know, a Tony or for an Oscar. It`s going to be a Daytime Emmy, if you do your work well and people like your work.

So it`s the best you can get being in daytime television. And having a job for 25 years, that`s the best you can get.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: (UNINTELLIGIBLE) like fireworks went off and then boom. That is how witnesses described the horror of the stage collapse during a setup for a Radiohead concert in Toronto over the weekend.

The destruction killed the band drum tech and three others were hurt. Radiohead drummer, Philip Selway, posted this message on the band`s Web site, "We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague."

Coming up next, SHOWBIZ on location, the real deal with "Let`s Make a Deal" host and Daytime Emmy nominee, Wayne Brady.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Right now, SHOWBIZ at the Daytime Emmys. Tonight, Wayne Brady, the real deal. Anything Wayne Brady cannot do? He`s a comedian. He`s an actor, a singer, a dancer and, of course, most recently, he`s the supercharged host of "Let`s Make a Deal."

Wayne thinks that all of his talents have led him to this great deal. And on Saturday night, he is looking to add a Daytime Emmy to his trophy case for all his hard work.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s Nischelle Turner is on location with Wayne Brady at his L.A. home, talking deals, daytime, and behind-the-scenes game show drama.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

NISCHELLE TURNER, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Here`s the real deal, folks. "Let`s Make a Deal" is up for its first ever Daytime Emmy award as outstanding game show.

And Wayne Brady is Emmy-nominated a third time for outstanding host. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you this wild and sometimes unpredictable show, which has been on and off the air for decades, could make a big splash at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

WAYNE BRADY, HOST, "LET`S MAKE A DEAL": I think now people recognize the fact that the show is actually a show.

TURNER: Brady, who served as host for three seasons, comes from an acting background. Audiences may remember his off-the-cuff, unscripted and improvisational work on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

The deal-making host recently invited SHOWBIZ TONIGHT to his Los Angeles home and told us how he found himself wheeling and dealing with the contestants.

BRADY: I`m not a game show host. I`m an actor who is an improvisational cat and fun and musical and whatnot. So I don`t go into the role going, "All right. Welcome to `Let`s Make a Deal." I`m like, "I am just going to be me."

TURNER (on camera): But that improv background had to be like - helped you so much in this role?

BRADY: Oh, well, that`s why they knocked on my door, you know, because I don`t think they wanted just a host. I`m right in the middle of this cacophony of madness.

Banana - I want a banana.

TURNER: Madness, sometimes downright bananas as hopeful audience members come dressed up in some eye-popping costumes.

BRADY: Whoopee cushion. Whoopee cushion.

TURNER: Are those the costumes - you get those costumes a lot where you`re like, "Can`t show that."

BRADY: Every day.

TURNER: Too much.

BRADY: Oh, yes.

TURNER: Too risky.

BRADY: You should have pants on, on the show. Next. Curtain one.

TURNER: First time I watched this show, I said, this is the craziest show I have ever seen in my life.

BRADY: I say that every day. I say that as I am in the middle of it. If you ever look at my eyes, really - I`m just going, "Oh, my gosh." But it`s fun.

I`m taking the curtain.

TURNER (voice-over): It`s not fun for everyone as many wide-eyed contestants end up on the wrong side of a deal and go home with some absurd prizes.

BRADY: It is a monster van. It has wheels.

TURNER (on camera): Do you ever cringe or feel for people when they give all their money and they get like the rubber ducky?

BRADY: This is going to sound cold, but as a rule, no. And I`ll tell you why - because it is a game. So when someone gives up something, I`m saying, "This is in your face." I know, Wayne. That could be a car.

And then we open it up. There is a rubber donkey battling with Godzilla in mud. I have to go, "Hey, enjoy."

Congratulations.

TURNER (voice-over): It`s those enjoyable moments Brady tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that caught the attention of the Television Academy.

BRADY: If you tune in to any random time, you will see something happening where we`re breaking piggy banks, cash being spilled out of that. There`s an ape over here.

All you know is that it is good and there is nothing like it in daytime. That`s why the show was nominated.

Door one!

TURNER: And in the end, isn`t it an honor just to be nominated?

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: Yes, sure it is, Nischelle. But of course, nothing is as good as holding that golden statue in your hands. And you will see if Wayne finally wins when the 39th Annual Daytime Emmys air live right here on HLN.

I can`t believe it. It`s coming up, Saturday, 8:00 p.m. Eastern already. I`ll be hanging on the red carpet with all your favorite daytime stars doing a special edition of SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

We`ll kick that off at 7:00 p.m. Eastern here on HLN. You can be with me in the middle of all the craziness if you enter the HLN red carpet sweepstakes.

You do that HLNTV.com/DaytimeEmmySweeps. We`ll set you up with a trip to the daytime Emmys. You get a whole red carpet makeover. You go to the Daytime Emmy show and you get to appear with me that night on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Do not forget to watch, the Daytime Emmy Awards live, Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern here on HLN.

So how does Beyonce say Happy Father`s Day to her husband Jay-Z? Oh, how about a brand-new jet? And not just any old jet. B reportedly bought a $40 million flying mansion. Are you digging this or is it just way over the top? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN, the home of the 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Well, our friend, Gloria Allred, is nominated for her very first Daytime Emmy for her courtroom show, "We the People with Gloria Allred." Gloria just told SHOWBIZ TONIGHT how she ended up with a daytime show in the first place.

ATTY. GLORIA ALLRED, "WE THE PEOPLE WITH GLORIA ALLRED": The way this happened, it`s amazing. I was just sitting there having dinner with a friend in Malibu.

And the producer of this show just happened to be there picking up takeout food for his family. And he saw me and he just came over.

And he said, "Gloria, have you ever considered doing your own television show?" I said, "Well, I am always open to new ideas."

And then he said, "Would you play the role of a judge?" And I said, "Well, again, I`m open to new ideas." He said, "I`m going to call you."

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, a SHOWBIZ flashback - remembering Rodney King. Twenty- one years ago, that grainy videotape introduced us all to the reality of police brutality and had launched Rodney King into infamy.

That tape, the not-guilty verdict in the police trial and, of course, those fiery riots that followed, are firmly woven into the fabric of American history and pop culture.

And that is why everyone was so stunned to hear the news that Rodney King had died this weekend. I spoke with Rodney right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT just two months ago about his book, recounting his beating, his troubled life, and his powerful plea for peace as Los Angeles erupted.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

RODNEY KING, AUTHOR AND VICTIM OF POLICE BRUTALITY: People, I just want to say, you know, can we - can we all get along? Can we - can we get along?

HAMMER: It is amazing. I remember that distinctly. You were calling for peace even after all you went through. And in your book you write in great detail about the police beating, every kick, every baton hit. How tough was it for you to relive that for writing this book?

KING: It was very tough because I had to, you know, go back and I felt those - as I was writing the book, I could feel, you know, the blows and the eye socket - it was almost like I was there again.

But at the same time, it was good because I wasn`t able to be in the Simi Valley trial during the first trial.

HAMMER: Right.

KING: And I should have been there. You know, the lawyers suggested that I stay home. But it`s almost like -

HAMMER: It`s kind of like reliving it, I`m sure.

KING: It is. It was.

HAMMER: But healthy in a way to put it down and let it go.

KING: Exactly.

HAMMER: Rodney, I`ve got to tell you it is a terrific read and I do appreciate you coming here.

KING: Twenty years in the making.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Got to say Rodney really seemed to be in a very good place when we spoke back in April. Police are still investigating Rodney King`s apparent drowning. He was 47 years old.

Well, as we move on, here`s what`s coming up at the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Kim Kardashian`s marriage revelations.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: When you say, "I apologize to any one whom I might have hurt," are you talking about Kris?

HAMMER: You`ve got to hear what Kim says. Plus, did Oprah really break down when Kim told her the secrets of her 72-day marriage?

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Kardashian confessions to Oprah Winfrey. Kim Kardashian and her clan get real with Oprah, the sex tape, the divorce.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: When you say I apologize to anyone whom I might have hurt, are you talking about Kris?

HAMMER: Why Kim tells Oprah she nearly gave up the spotlight. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, do you buy Kim`s transformation?

Beyonce`s bonkers Father`s Day gift for Jay-Z. Did she really buy him a jet for being a good dad? Is it just too over-the-top or just right?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT and thank you for watching. Tonight, Kardashian transformation. A leaked sex tape, a disastrous marriage and controversial new love.

Kim Kardashian and the rest of the clan have delivered enough real life drama to land an interview with talk queen Oprah Winfrey.

Well, Tonight the stunning revelations from the TV starlet about her dramatic rise to the top and why Kim actually considered walking away from it all.

It is great to have with us tonight, actor John the spokesperson for Usage Survey, cholesterol survey in the U.S. And with us from Atlanta tonight, Jenn Hobby, co-host of "The Bert Show."

So guys, as we have seen, as the world has seen, some of the best and worst moments in Kim Kardashian`s life have played out before our very eyes.

And on "Oprah`s Next Chapter" Oprah asked Kim if she has any regrets. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: I mean, I have obviously made plenty of mistakes in my lifetime. But I am not the type to sit and beat myself up over it. If a real lesson was learned, I`m so OK with having experienced that.

WINFREY: That is so perfect I could weep.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Kim, really making quite an impression with Oprah. She actually nearly brought her to tears there, John. Are you buying all the transformation talk? Or is it just all for the fun of reality TV?

JOHN O`HURLEY, ACTOR: You know, this represents some of the worst use of television that I have ever seen. I am not a fan of this genre. I`m just going to lay it out there.

HAMMER: Please.

O`HURLEY: The fact that we are rewarding people for ambition rather than talent I think is just an extraordinary injustice.

Because reality television is basically people who are trying to become the story rather than learning the infinitely more difficult task of trying to tell a story. The more that we continue - and we are doing it right now, perpetuating the Kardashian style myth.

It started with the Gabor sisters a long, long time ago, people famous for the idea of being famous. It`s a bad use of television and I think it just perpetuates the myth. The emperor isn`t wearing any clothes, but in saying that, I realize I`m just perpetuating more bad behavior on her part.

HAMMER: We are breaking it down though, John. We`re putting it all out there and we`re going to pull it apart. And you know, we have seen certainly it all play out in so many different ways. This is the reality of reality TV. It is fame for the sake of fame -

O`HURLEY: No, I disagree with you. It is not fame - you look at any of these talent-driven shows like "American Idol," "America`s Got Talent," they are rewarding talent in place of ambition.

The shows that are like "The Big Brother" and the "Survivor" - these are people that are just trying to be famous for the idea of being famous and not for telling a story or revealing a talent, two different ends of television.

HAMMER: No, absolutely. You are not getting an argument from me there at all. But what I`m saying is, as long as it does exist, we are seeing the way it does play out including that 72-day marriage Kim had to Kris Humphries, divorce deposition set for next week with Kim and her ex, Kris.

And while Kim has apologized publicly to her fans, Oprah did ask what about Kris? I want to watch that together.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WINFREY: When you say, "I apologize to anyone whom I might have hurt," are you talking about Kris?

KIM KARDASHIAN: Yes. I mean, I love him. You know, I think, obviously, it really hurt him, and it hurt me, too.

HAMMER: I`m not sure if Kris is ready to accept Kim`s transformation. But Jenn, let me ask you, she certainly did owe Kris an apology, especially with an audience like Oprah`s watching, didn`t she?

HOBBY: Well, I guess so, you know. And Oprah was asking pretty poignant questions about what they went through and what they were feeling at the time.

And I think, you know, it was a pretty genuine apology there. Now, I will agree with John, and ask him to think about, you know, what does this say about us as human beings and a culture that we really are into these stories? It`s like a real-life soap opera that we are getting into especially with Kim Kardashian.

O`HURLEY: Yes. With the difference of the fact we are no longer employing writers. Remember, Shakespeare once said the play is the thing. It`s never about the people, the actor or the producer. The words, the play are the thing.

We have gotten so far away from this, and I am sad that we are teaching a generation of young people that stories are not important. And I think that`s the grave mistake here.

HAMMER: Well, what we have seen play out is Kim moving on with her life. Kim is a part of pop culture, whether some people like it or not. She`s moved on with Kanye West now. They`re turning heads everywhere they go.

And she actually blew everybody away not long ago giving him a $750,000 Lamborghini, talk about conspicuous consumption. That was as a birthday gift.

But now, listen to this. Beyonce has reportedly taken gift-giving to a whole other level reportedly buying husband Jay-Z a plane for Father`s Day. That`s right, a jet plane.

Some people are saying, you know what? this is ridiculous, particularly given these uncertain times. The other side saying, you know what? She`s got it. Why not?

John, I`m curious to get your take. Truly, if you had a spare $40 million lying around, would you gift someone an airplane if it was somebody you deeply loved?

O`HURLEY: I`m flipping to the other side on this, A.J. You`re a guy. I`m a guy.

HAMMER: Yes.

O`HURLEY: This is a purely political move. What a woman does - listen, America - is that you raised the bar on the gift you give the man, and they have got to come back with a better gift, because, obviously, you are going to hear about it next year. He has got to buy her a Caribbean island right. He can`t come back with a plane, which, by the way, was a two-for- one special. They didn`t tell you that.

HAMMER: Exactly. No, we didn`t actually see if there was a coupon she clipped for that particular plane. If these reports do prove true, Beyonce is certainly in terrific company of men or women raising the bar for the other side.

Angelina bought Brad Pitt a helicopter. J-Lo bought Casper a truck. Justin Bieber rented the Staples Center for Selena Gomez.

Jenn, they say go big or go home. If this is true, do you think there`s anything wrong with it? Because, quite frankly, I think fans almost expect celebrities, particularly celebrities of these means, to live these grand lives of extravagance.

(CROSS TALK)

O`HURLEY: I`m sorry, I am interrupting.

HOBBY: I say go big or go home. I say you are not going to the grave with it. Certainly, these couples have invested and done all kinds of smart things with their money, given back to charity in so many different ways.

And this is what they have with the surplus. I say spend it on each other. Go for it.

O`HURLEY: I agree. There is no sin in enjoying the money you earned. And you forget one bullet point. Yesterday was Father`s Day and I got three pairs of shorts from my wife and my child.

HAMMER: Three pairs of shorts. Well, now, you know, doesn`t that lower the bar, John, in a simple way?

O`HURLEY: No, I say that`s pretty high in our household.

HAMMER: All right. Let me get to Justin Bieber right now because he does appear to be quite the young romantic. He gave a revealing new interview to "Fabulous" magazine talking about his budding romance with Selena Gomez.

And he said, "If you are really in love, then you should get butterflies. Butterflies and happiness, that`s how I feel anyway." Ah, young love. Justin went on to say that he hopes to keep his relationship private.

Now, John, you know what it is look to live life in the spotlight. Bieber is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet right now. Is there any way he`s going to be able to keep his dating life private at all and separate from his celebrity life in your mind?

O`HURLEY: Probably not. And that may be part of his choice too as well. But you know, I want to say one other thing. I happen to know Selena personally and I know the quality of woman she is.

I was - I did a - excuse me - a very special episode of "The Wizards of Waverly Place," so I know from where I speak.

She is one of the most elegant and talented young star today. And I`ll make a prediction that you are going to hear about her over the next 50 years. She is that good, that talented and I think she`s going to grow into an extraordinary talent.

HAMMER: Wow.

O`HURLEY: Now, it is nice to know, Justin Bieber, as a child performer, STILL has his heart a-fluttering. I think he chose a good one. I hope he doesn`t screw it up.

And by the way, my five-and-a-half-year-old son wore a sweater vest to school the other day, and he was complaining. He says, "I look just like Justin Bieber."

HAMMER: Perfect. John O`Hurley, thank you so much. I am a huge fan, and you are proof, my friend, that talent does rise to the top. Thank you for being with us. Jenn Hobby, thank you as well.

Well, the Daytime Emmys are just days away. I`ve got to say I am a little restless. I`m going to be live on the red carpet celebrating all your favorite soap stars on Saturday, including legendary, "The Young and the Restless Star," Eric Braeden.

Of course, he`s Victor Newman on the show. Eric is here with secrets from "Y and R" in a must-see SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ERIC BRAEDEN, ACTOR: Look at me. Life without you, it`s just not the same.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Victor Newman certainly has a way with the ladies. And that makes sense. He has been married 13 times on the soap, "The Young and the Restless."

Tonight, meet Victor Newman. Emmy Award-winning actor, Eric Braeden, is the face of soap, playing Victor Newman on "The Young and the Restless" for more than 30 years.

And now, his show is once again up for a Daytime Emmy. To find out if "Y and R" wins, be sure to tune in to the Daytime Emmy Awards right here on HLN this Saturday night, live at 8:00 p.m.

Eric Braeden joining me right now to share the real stories behind the most recognizable TV characters of all time. It`s a pleasure to welcome you here.

BRAEDEN: Thank you, A.J.

HAMMER: Great having you here as we get ready - it`s a big party this week, getting ready for the Daytime Emmys.

BRAEDEN: Yes. Married 13 times?

HAMMER: That`s pretty extraordinary.

BRAEDEN: I`ll be damned.

HAMMER: Yes. Did you even realize that?

BRAEDEN: No.

HAMMER: So how does a character like Victor Newman keep track of all those ladies?

BRAEDEN: You don`t.

HAMMER: You don`t?

BRAEDEN: You just keep on moving forward.

HAMMER: Right.

BRAEDEN: You are young and restless. You keep on moving forward. Don`t think about the past.

HAMMER: And I imagine in three decades of playing, it is not possible to remember everything that has happened to you in that time. I mean, it`s just remarkable. No character actors go through the amount of storylines that soap opera actors do.

BRAEDEN: No, certainly not. I mean, from feeding rats to lovers of my wives, and you know, goes on and on. It has been an extraordinary ride for the last 33 years. I loved it.

HAMMER: Is there a storyline that has happened that has played out that stays with you as the most memorable or that you really enjoyed?

BRAEDEN: For those who are fans of the show, I think the most memorable to me at least was the fact when I discovered that I had - my mother had left me in an orphanage when I was seven years old, and my father had abandoned me as well.

And that touched an enormous nerve. And that I think - the storyline involving that or the scenes involving that storyline were the most memorable for me. Yes.

HAMMER: And certainly something that touched a lot of fans. And I have to say I have gotten to know over my years of doing this, soap opera fans are about as passionate as they come.

BRAEDEN: You bet.

HAMMER: But they come in all shapes, sizes and forms including the great Alec Baldwin, who happens to be an enormous fan of yours. He, of course, got his start on the soap. Can we show you what he told us about you?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ALEC BALDWIN, ACTOR: Guys that were on soaps when I was on are still on.

TURNER: Yes.

BALDWIN: Yes.

TURNER: Well, I am a soap opera fan.

BALDWIN: Eric Braeden.

TURNER: Yes.

BALDWIN: Eric Braeden - look at him. The guy`s like the Mt. Rushmore of soap. He still looks great. He`s like, "Let me tell you something. Jill, Jill, I want you to know something."

And I`m like, "Look at this guy. He is like the Clark Gable of soaps. Good looking, tough."

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: I mean, come on. Right there.

BRAEDEN: Alec Baldwin, thank you very much. That`s cool. That`s really nice.

HAMMER: Do you see yourself that way as the Clark Gable of soaps? Because I have heard that said before>

BRAEDEN: No. You just - what you learn to do in soaps, obviously, after a while is you draw as much from your own life`s experience as possible, from your own emotional experience as possible. So I have never thought of myself in that regard. No. My mother watched "Gone with the Wind" 13 times, by the way.

HAMMER: What is, in your mind, is the secret to the longevity of "The Young and The Restless"?

BRAEDEN: I think we have always tried to deal with - and I saw it with (UNINTELLIGIBLE) - with socially contemporary problems, and I think we have done that pretty well.

So the audience was not only entertained by what is normal soap fare, but I think with issues that pertain to everyone`s problems on a contemporary level.

HAMMER: Well, it`s amazing to see something like this survive so well and for so long. It is great meeting you and having you here, Eric.

BRAEDEN: Thank you very much, A.J. I appreciate it. I appreciate the remarks by Alec Baldwin.

HAMMER: Yes.

BRAEDEN: I respect him. He is a bright man and obviously enormously successful. Maybe he should go into politics.

HAMMER: Perhaps he will.

BRAEDEN: Yes.

HAMMER: Right now, we have to turn to a beloved character on daytime television and she just happens to be BFFs with Elmo. "Sesame Street`s" Abby Cadabby, the magic behind her fairytale spells, next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Tonight, TV magic. All of us have either grown up watching "Sesame Street" or have children that have. It is just amazing when you think that Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, and all of their friends from the neighborhood have been entertaining kids for over four decades.

And since the show`s debut in 1969, they have added so many beloved characters including Elmo, of course, and the lovable fairy in training, Abby Cababby.

Well, joining me from New York right now, I`m so thrilled to welcome Leslie Carrara Rudolph, the voice behind "Sesame Street`s" Abby Cadabby who is nominated for an Emmy for outstanding performance in a children`s series.

First of all, congratulations on that Emmy nomination. You have to be thrilled about that?

LESLIE CARRARA RUDOLPH, VOICE ACTRESS: It is pretty thrilling. Thanks a lot.

HAMMER: Absolutely great to have you here. And for one reason in particular, I have to tell you the moms on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff were so over the moon, excited to hear that you were going to be with us today.

So please tell me, truthfully, who are your biggest fans? Is it the young kids or is it really their mothers?

RUDOLPH: I don`t know. It`s pretty much both. I mean, how could you not love a fairy? And Abby is just - she is magical. So her - I think she represents hearts and her wings - she is like a little puppy dog.

So it`s kind of hard not for everyone to fall in love with her. I know I am just her co-pilot. But I think it is both. It`s pretty even.

HAMMER: I am watching her there on the screen with Elmo. She went poof and had to go home I guess. But I`ve gotten to know Kevin Clash, who`s the voice of Elmo over the years.

He has never been shy saying he feels he has the best job on earth. I am sure you can relate. Is it just spectacularly fun for you playing Abby Cadabby all the time?

RUDOLPH: Absolutely. It is your best job because you put your heart in your hand when the kids come to visit. I mean, it is already a joy, because "Sesame Street" is like the Olympics of children`s television.

And we are like a big family on there. We laugh every single day. We sit in Hooper`s store and pinch ourselves like, "We are really here. We are really here."

That was Abby, channeling. And then when you meet the kids and they hug your hand. You can feel their heart against your hand. You know that it is an honor. I would say I am a co-pilot for joy, so -

HAMMER: And it has been amazing to watch how wildly popular Abby has become since she was introduced back in 2006, because it is a big deal when "Sesame Street" introduces a new character.

But please tell me what will you and Abby be wearing to the Daytime Emmys on Saturday night?

RUDOLPH: Oh, that is a good question. I found a dress that is very fairy like. And then I will be sporting this wonderful - I think I am going to have to have my hands.

I have a little bit of a fractured wing here, so I am probably going to be - this is before. We`ll have a designer cast. But -

HAMMER: I expect it.

RUDOLPH: Yes. So we`ll be wearing joy.

HAMMER: I have a feeling that it is very true. We will be looking for you on the red carpet. Best of luck, Leslie. Thank you so much for joining us.

RUDOLPH: Thanks a lot. Twinkle out.

Surprisingly, Wahlberg says his new co-star isn`t scoring any points with his young daughter.

MARK WAHLBERG, ACTOR: My daughter was a Bieber fan, but she is over him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Over him, wow?

WAHLBERG: She`s nine, so -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She`s into One Direction now, maybe?

WAHLBERG: No. She is into like - those girls shake out that sort of thing.

HAMMER: And for all those "Entourage" fans, Wahlberg tells us the HBO series could be hitting the big screen soon.

WAHLBERG: Doug Ellin is actually writing the script as we speak, so he`s finally started writing. And hopefully, it won`t take long now.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Ball park - two years?

They shared the happy news during their baby shower in Los Angeles.

Cruise loses. Despite the all-star cast of Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand, "Rock of Ages" didn`t rock at the box office.

According to "The Hollywood Reporter," "Rock of Ages" brought in $15.1 million, landing in third place. "Madagascar 3: Europe`s Most Wanted," took the top with $35.5 million. And "Prometheus" came in second with $22.2 million.
