THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: I`m Brooke Anderson, live in London all this week with the SHOWBIZ royal event, countdown to the royal wedding.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: And I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

ANDERSON: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. A royal wedding smackdown. A guard assigned to the wedding fired from the big gig after reportedly calling Kate a, quote, "stuck-up cow." Should the guard have been canned? Plus, brand-new paparazzi frenzy surrounding Kate. Our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - do you feel sorry for Kate?

HAMMER: Michael Douglas` emotional new confession to Oprah. For the very first time, Michael opens up about his wife`s battle with bipolar disorder.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MICHAEL DOUGLAS, ACTOR: I`m so proud of her for kind of, you know, analyzing, taking care of it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Kara`s shocking new "Idol" revelations. Former "American Idol" judge, Kara DioGuardi, goes off today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KARA DIOGUARDI, FORMER "AMERICAN IDOL" JUDGE: It took the viewers a while to understand why.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Is Kara making a big mistake by speaking out?

ANDERSON: Royal rain? Uh-oh, rain is in the forecast for the royal wedding. So will this put a big damper on the big reveal of Kate`s dress?

HAMMER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show -

ANDERSON: Breaks news right now.

(MUSIC)

ANDERSON: Hi, there. I`m Brooke Anderson, live in London. And it has been another extraordinary day here. Frenzy does not even begin to describe what has been happening here just days before the royal wedding, A.J.

HAMMER: I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. And yes, Brooke, there is a lot of fairy tale stuff that`s happening around the upcoming fairy tale wedding.

So whoever would have expected the shocking news today that one of the royal guards assigned to the wedding has basically been fired from working the wedding for doing something - well, something really stupid.

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J., and it all played out on Facebook. Here`s how it all went down. And you know, it doesn`t take a genius to figure this all out. If you a guard assigned to the royal wedding, you don`t go on your Facebook page and slam Kate Middleton.

Apparently, this guy wrote that Kate Middleton is a stupid stuck-up cow - big mistake. Well, I have got some great company live here in London to talk to me about this royal insult, and it is royal commentator and the author of this book, "The Single Girl`s Survival Guide." It is Imogen Lloyd Webber. Imogen, good to see you. You look beautiful.

IMOGEN LLOYD WEBBER, AUTHOR, "THE SINGLE GIRL`S SURVIVAL GUIDE": Thank you so much. So do you.

ANDERSON: Thank you very much. Hey, this guy, apparently, was really peeved that Kate and William drove past him and did not acknowledge him. I`m sure they did not do that intentionally. They`ve got a lot on their mind.

But he reportedly wrote this on his Facebook page, "All I got was an (EXPLETIVE DELETED) wave while she looked the opposite way from me. Stupid stuck-up cow. Am I not good enough for them? Posh (EXPLETIVE DELETED). Who really gives a (EXPLETIVE DELETED) about her?"

To put it all into perspective, this is one of the guards who stands outside the Buckingham Palace with the tall, black, bear-skin hats, stands still and silent.

WEBBER: Yes.

ANDERSON: It is a group of highly respected and important guards. So do you think that there`s any excuse for what he did? Or yes, he should have been canned?

WEBBER: Well, he really wasn`t the fizziest drink in the fridge to do this.

ANDERSON: Right.

WEBBER: Quite frankly, the queen is head of the armed forces. We all know - don`t be rude about the boss` grand daughter-in-law to be on Facebook. Really stupid thing, too, especially, bear in mind, (INAUDIBLE) now all over social networking.

I mean, for goodness sake, they actually announced the engagement on Facebook. This is the first royal wedding with a Twitter hash tag. So really, it wasn`t very clever.

If you`re part of a firm, if you are working for somebody, you`ve actually got to be polite about them.

ANDERSON: Absolutely. And you know, since I have been here in London, Imogen, all have I seen and felt is nothing but love and support for Kate Middleton.

But do you think this is a sign that everybody`s not so jazzed about her? Or do you think this guy was just a case - it`s just a case of him being a royal jerk?

WEBBER: It`s just being a royal jerk basically. All the opinion polls suggest only 13 percent of people in Britain want to get rid of the monarchy. Everyone else is pro the monarchy and actually very much in support of Kate Middleton who is a middle class girl, a normal girl, becoming a princess.

ANDERSON: She`s very accessible.

WEBBER: Exactly.

ANDERSON: Very relatable.

WEBBER: Very accessible, that`s why Americans love her so much. She`s got social mobility. I mean, we all dream of being a princess one day.

ANDERSON: Of course, it`s a fairy tale. Well, you know, every move that she makes is going to be highly scrutinized.

WEBBER: Yes.

ANDERSON: She`s going to be hounded by the paparazzi even more than she ever has been, which is why we`re asking in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll - "Royal Wedding Paparazzi Frenzy: Do you feel sorry for Kate Middleton?" Yes, the paps should back off. Or no, she`s got to deal with it.

All right. Imogen, do you feel sorry for Kate or do you think it just comes with the territory?

WEBBER: I think it only just comes with the territory. The queen mother - Helena Bonham Carter in "The King`s Speech," but this is real queen mother - once said that being a member of the royal family was an intolerable privilege.

Now, Kate`s aware of this, that`s why William spent so long waiting to propose. He wants to give her a chance to back out. Since 2005, she`s had no -she`s been with the paparazzi. They`ve been chasing her since she left St. Andrews.

Fundamentally, going into the royal family, she`s going to have armed protection for the first time. She didn`t have that before she was engaged to Prince William. So she`s going to have more security now than before.

ANDERSON: So in a way it could be easier for Kate going forward, even if the attention just increases?

WEBBER: Absolutely. She`s got someone with a gun by her. She didn`t have that before she got engaged.

ANDERSON: That will help.

WEBBER: It will help.

ANDERSON: All right. Imogen Lloyd Webber, the author of "The Single Girl`s Guide," good to see you. Thank you so much.

HAMMER: All right. Brooke, I can tell you that the excitement in London - I know it`s building. I know you`re looking for William and Kate. I`m sure they`re very busy getting ready for Friday, so please keep on looking.

But we move now from the royal family to Hollywood royalty. Today, on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Michael Douglas opened up for the very first time about his wife Catherine Zeta Jones` recent revelations that she`s bipolar.

And he talked about how she was affected by another problem they faced, his throat cancer. It is enough to make you say, haven`t these two gone through enough?

But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that from what we heard Douglas telling Oprah today, he and Catherine are still definitely standing strong.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MICHAEL DOUGLAS, ACTOR: I`m so proud of her for kind of, you know, analyzing, taking care of it.

HAMMER (voice-over): It was a public battle that was never meant to become public. On today`s "Oprah," Michael Douglas opened up for the first time about his wife Catherine Zeta Jones` bipolar II disorder.

The couple had kept it private until the "National Enquirer" told the world about her stay at a mental health hospital earlier this month.

DOUGLAS: Catherine has been quite open about it because she was outed. You know, she went to go get some help and some other patient in there probably said, "Hey, you won`t believe who`s in here now." And so once that happens, I think she felt best to get out her story.

OPRAH WINFREY, HOST, "THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW": Do it yourself.

HAMMER: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you today we were riveted of Douglas shared the moving story about how his wife of 10 years was affected by battle his cancer.

WINFREY: How did dealing with the cancer affect your relationship with Catherine?

DOUGLAS: She`s Welsh and with the Welsh, you know, it`s all stiff upper lip.

WINFREY: Yes. And not let her feelings show.

HAMMER: Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones` struggles capped a remarkable run of bad luck for this Oscar-winning Hollywood super couple.

BLAINE ZUCKERMAN, "PEOPLE" MAGAZINE: 2010 was not the easiest year for Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

HAMMER: In April of 2010, Douglas` oldest son, Cameron, was sentenced to five years in jail for selling crystal meth. In June, Douglas` ex-wife, Diandra, sued him for half his earnings from last year`s "Wall Street" sequel.

And in August, the big blow, Douglas was diagnosed with stage four throat cancer.

ZUCKERMAN: It took a toll on the family. Catherine, during those times, tried to be very strong. But we hear from sources that, really, she struggled. And the simple things, the things - they got to her. Getting out of bed, trying to go to dinner.

HAMMER: On today`s "Oprah," Douglas said his problems made it hard for his wife who has struggled with depression in the past, to focus on her own private pain.

DOUGLAS: My eldest son has been - is in federal prison. My ex-wife is suing me and I got cancer. That`s kind of hard for the wife to say, "I`m depressed." I think that, you know, really it probably played a big part of it and she`s got to be stoic and deal with all the stuff that I`m going through.

And it finally - probably at a time when I`m off the hook and things look good, you finally relax.

WINFREY: You can let down.

DOUGLAS: You can let go.

ZUCKERMAN: In January, he got a clean bill of health. He found out the tumor is gone. Oddly, Catherine was hoping, at this point, to feel much better. Unfortunately, she took a hard look and realized that her feelings were not improving and she sought help.

HAMMER: And as we saw on Oprah today, Zeta Jones` proud husband says his wife is back on track.

WINFREY: How is she?

DOUGLAS: She`s great. She`s shooting a movie. I think she`s relieved she has a much better understanding because this is something she was not clearly aware of - this is what was going on.

HAMMER: And how is Michael doing? He tells Oprah he`s not completely out of the woods yet, but things are looking good.

DOUGLAS: For the first year I got to go every month and get checked with these PET scans and stuff. And the next year, it will be three months.

WINFREY: Have you gotten checked in for this month already?

DOUGLAS: I have.

WINFREY: Yes?

DOUGLAS: I`m cool.

HAMMER: And Douglas revealed what he`s been through has changed him.

WINFREY: How are you a different man now, do you think, from the time you were first diagnosed?

DOUGLAS: I think - well, I know - sorry. I know that I`m much, much closer to my friends and family. I have a much deeper appreciation of family and friends.

HAMMER: "People" magazine`s Blaine Zuckerman tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Douglas and Zeta Jones` openness about their struggles has inspired countless people, which is exactly why these superstars have been sharing their stories.

ZUCKERMAN: They have both been very open with the press and media. And I think it`s because they wanted to help people, I think, to sort of show it`s a fight that you can win. In general, I`d say it`s a couple who faces things head on.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: And obviously, it`s so good to hear that Catherine Zeta Jones is doing so much better. As Michael Douglas mentioned, she is already back at work. She`s shooting a new movie "Playing the Field" along with Gerard Butler.

Moving on right now, you`ve got to see this. Is this dude the new Susan Boyle? Susan stunned everyone with her amazing voice on "Britain`s Got Talent," of course. But listen to this guy. Everybody`s talking about him today.

(SINGING)

HAMMER: I`m here to tell you the dude is a nursery rhyme singing madman. Wow.

So Sarah Ferguson wasn`t invited to the royal wedding. A lot of people say that`s so wrong. We`ve got the evidence to prove how wrong it was, next.

And Kara`s shocking "Idol" revelations. Former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi goes off today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DIOGUARDI: It took the viewers a while to understand why it was going. It`s like I broke up the Beatles.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. You were interrupting the chemistry of this panel of judges.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Is Kara making a big mistake by speaking out? Did she get a raw deal? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the SHOWBIZ royal wedding watch - the inside stories and excitement surrounding the royal wedding.

TEXT: Prince William and Kate Middleton met at St. Andrews University in 2001. They are revealed as a couple in 2004. "DWTS" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kirstie Alley weigh in on Prince William and Kate Middleton`s first dance.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY, "DANCING WITH THE STARS": I would start with something really slow, like the foxtrot, something traditional. And just when everybody is, aww, just, bam, break it into like (INAUDIBLE) or something. It would be amazing. That`s it.

KIRSTIE ALLEY, "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT: That`s what they do.

(CROSS TALK)

I would do the Paso Doble, seriously.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT in London. There`s Buckingham Palace, the beautiful Buckingham Palace. And it`s going to be rocking and rolling this Friday when Prince William and Kate Middleton get married.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson, live in London all week long, covering the royal wedding. A.J. Hammer is in New York. And A.J., so much royal wedding news, so little time.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Of course, you`re right there smack in the center of the wedding media frenzy bringing it to us all week long. Of course, with the frenzy comes a whole lot of paparazzi. They`re always hanging around there. But are the British tabloids just going wild today?

ANDERSON: Oh, today - every day, A.J. They`re going wild. There are reports today that people are placing bets on whether Kate Middleton will borrow the queen`s tiara.

Also, there`s a report in the tabloids that Kate`s mother, Carol, has fired her hat maker after deciding not to wear a certain dress, so she fired the hat maker who was making the hat to correspond with the dress.

It just gets out of control. There`s another report that Kate Middleton has lost so much weight that she`s terrified that her ring is going to slip off of her finger so she`s having it shrunk to fit her finger just to be safe. They really run the gamut, A.J.

HAMMER: There won`t be one detail not exploited by the tabloids over there. And there`s no doubt the media circus is just going to get fiercer and fiercer as we approach the day on Friday.

Let`s me bring in someone who knows a whole lot about being aggressively pursued by the paparazzi, HLN`s own royal wedding contributor, Lisa Vanderpump. She, of course, also stars on the hit show, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

And she`s here with Jiggy today. It`s the first time we had Jiggy has been on the set. Now, Lisa, you and Jiggy know what it`s like to be pursued by the paparazzi.

LISA VANDERPUMP, REALITY TV STAR, "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS": Yes.

HAMMER: What kind of advice do you have for William and Kate at this point? Because it`s going to be a part of their daily lives.

VANDERPUMP: Well, I think - I mean, she`s been integrated slowly. She`s had eight years to get used to it. And now, as Imogen said, she`s going to have her, you know, royal protection.

But I think it`s a shame, on a serious note that, you know, 13 years later after the death of Princess Diana we haven`t learned anything more. You know, we`re still in the same situation -

HAMMER: Yes.

VANDERPUMP: Paparazzi throwing themselves on the car, blinding you. I mean, it can be very, very difficult. So I think she`s going to need all the help she can get. She`s older than Princess Diana when she started. I think she`s going to have more support. I think they learned their lesson.

HAMMER: Hopefully, it won`t detract from what should be a perfect day on Friday. It`s teeing up to be a spectacular occasion, of course. But I`m looking at the weather forecast right here. It says there`s a chance it`s going to rain.

So the burning question of the day is, what happens if there are too many umbrellas, Lisa, and we can`t see Kate`s dress? The horror.

VANDERPUMP: It is always going to rain in England. It rains 200 days a year. What are the chances? I think it`s going to stop. Maybe it`s going to be OK at 11:00, so she just (INAUDIBLE) down the Abbey, runs inside and back out again. She might be OK.

HAMMER: I`m guessing she`ll have plenty of handlers all around making sure that not a drop of water gets on her dress.

VANDERPUMP: Yes, yes. Absolutely. They`ve got to be prepared for that. And she`s got the glass carriage.

HAMMER: She certainly does. And it`s great to have you and Jiggy here. Lisa Vanderpump, thank you so much.

VANDERPUMP: Thank you.

HAMMER: Well, Christina Aguilera is speaking out today, as we move on, for the very first time about her Super Bowl national anthem disaster. Has she gotten past this? That`s coming up.

Also, Levi Johnston making news today. You remember him, right? The father of Bristol Palin`s son. Wait until you hear how this guy is going after the Palins again.

All right. I`m definitely looking forward to the royal wedding on Friday. But I`ve got to say some of my TV buddies - they`re going a bit too far.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JEANNE MOOS, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): The media competition was fierce.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Kate and I went shopping today.

MOOS: To find the most ridiculous souvenirs.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There`s a refrigerator, a commemorative refrigerator with Will and Kate on it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, why not? Looks like a royal pain, actually. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the SHOWBIZ royal wedding watch - the inside stories and excitement surrounding the royal wedding.

TEXT: Prince William proposed to Kate in October 2010 while they were on a safari in Kenya. "DWTS" pro, Mark Ballas, gives his advice to Prince William and Kate Middleton on media attention on wedding day.

Hn262320.txt channel: 4 date: 04/26/2011 time started: 23:20 time ended: 23:30 comments: lvideo6 ------------------- and now the SHOWBIZ royal wedding watch, the inside stories and excitement surrounding the royal wedding.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARK BALLAS, "DANCING WITH THE STARS": I think just - all that aside, it your wedding. It`s like, be in love, enjoy it, like eat cake, throw champagne everywhere. It`s your moment, so just enjoy the wedding, be in love and - you know, it`s your moment. Enjoy it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Buckingham Palace is really quiet right now, but it is going to get very busy come Friday. I`m Brooke Anderson, live in London all week long. A.J., I`m covering the excitement leading up to the royal wedding just a few days away.

HAMMER: And, Brooke, I`ve got to tell you, I`m actually getting pretty jazzed for it now, seeing you there, Buckingham Palace in the background and watching all of your coverage throughout the day on HLN. It`s really been terrific.

But right now, got to move on to the big news in "The Buzz Today." Watch out Palins. Yes, Levi Johnston is writing a book about you. Also, a big Johnny Depp surprise. This is actually very, very cool. And Nicolas Cage being investigated for child abuse?

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Nic Cage child abuse accusations. Nicholas cage may be stemming more troubles stemming from his April 16th arrest for domestic violence and public drunkenness in New Orleans.

TMZ is now reporting that the Oscar winner`s now being investigated for child abuse. TMZ says Cage`s five-year-old son suffered minor injuries while Cage was intoxicated. But there are conflicting reports as to how the child was hurt.

Johnny Depp movie surprise. Big news breaking today for fans of "21 Jump Street." "EW.com" is reporting that Johnny Depp will be making a small, un-credited cameo in the upcoming big screen version of his former TV show.

Last year, Johnny told "Entertainment Weekly" what he would like to see happen with his character Tom in the film version of the hit show, "Someone will say, `Whatever happened to Tom Hanson?` And they`ll find me somewhere hoarding jars of peanut butter and shaking in my underpants."

Levi Johnston`s Palin tell-all. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can reveal that Levi Johnston, father of Sarah Palin`s grandson, is set to write a tell-all book about the Palin family.

Levi has a son with Sarah`s eldest daughter, Bristol. Levi tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, "I want to tell the truth about my close relationship with the Palins, my sense of Sarah and my perplexing fall from grace, how I feel and what I`ve learned. I`m doing this for me, for my boy Tripp and for the country."

(END VIDEOTAPE)

And that`s a true patriot. Now, the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is my not-to-be-missed SHOWBIZ newsmaker interview with Carson Daly. He really let Britney Spears have it recently. Does he regret going after Brit?

Is this the new Susan Boyle, the male version anyway? Everyone`s talking about this guy today.

(SINGING)

I am clapping my hands. That`s some good nursery rhyme singing right there.

And next, Brooke Anderson, one-on-one in London with Prince William and Kate Middleton. Well, the actors that played them in the new TV movie. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the SHOWBIZ royal wedding watch - the inside stories and excitement surrounding the royal wedding.

TEXT: Kate Middleton will spend the night before the wedding at the Goring Hotel at her request with her immediate family. Valerie Bertinelli, Emma Roberts and Helen Mirren talk about their excitement for the royal wedding.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VALERIE BERTINELLI, ACTRESS: I`ll definitely watch the royal wedding. I`m very excited for them.

EMMA ROBERTS, ACTRESS: So excited about the royal wedding. Yes, I am. I can`t wait to see what everyone`s wearing.

DAME HELEN MIRREN, ACTRESS: I will watch along with everyone else when it comes. I want to see what she`s going to wear.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson, live in London all week long covering the royal wedding.

HAMMER: I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

ANDERSON: William and Kate on William and Kate. The actors who play William and Kate in a brand-new movie. Do they think the real William and Kate have what it takes for a lasting marriage?

(SINGING)

HAMMER: It`s the other British sensation that`s got everyone talking today. Could this guy be the next Susan Boyle?

ANDERSON: Kara DioGuardi slamming "American Idol"? Her shocking new revelation.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DIOGUARDI: It took the viewers a while to understand why I was going. It was like I broke up the Beatles.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. You were interrupting the chemistry of this panel of judges.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask today did Kara really get a raw deal?

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It`s 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you live from London with the very latest royal coverage. And get this - today, I spoke to none other than William and Kate.

Well, the least the actors who play William and Kate in a brand-new Lifetime movie "William and Kate," and they did not hold back today.

They talked to me about what they think about the paparazzi frenzy surrounding the royal wedding, their admiration for the happy couple and whether they think the real William and Kate have what it takes for a lasting marriage. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(on camera): Well, hello, Camilla.

CAMILLA LUDDINGTON, ACTRESS: Hi! It`s good to see you!

ANDERSON: It`s so good to see you.

NICO EVERS-SWINDELL, ACTOR: You, too.

ANDERSON: Fancy seeing you on the top of this (INAUDIBLE) curb.

LUDDINGTON: I know.

ANDERSON: Big bus red tour. Awesome.

SWINDELL: Taking in the sights while we were in town.

ANDERSON: How have you been received by people in London walking around together, you know, look-alikes for Kate and Will?

SWINDELL: I think there`s been some double takes.

LUDDINGTON: There have definitely been double takes. It more when we`re together, too, I think -

SWINDELL: Yes.

LUDDINGTON: That that happens.

SWINDELL: But everyone`s been very friendly.

LUDDINGTON: Extremely friendly. It`s wedding fever.

SWINDELL: (INAUDIBLE) excitement.

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: There`s certainly a buzz in the city.

SWINDELL: Yes. Yes.

ANDERSON: Well, I know that, you know, since you`ve been cast, you know, you have been followed by the paparazzi at times.

LUDDINGTON: Yes.

ANDERSON: So can you, Camilla, kind of sympathize with what Kate is going through in a way?

LUDDINGTON: Absolutely. I think that it`s a completely overwhelming experience. I mean, we, for one, didn`t really think of that when we got the role. And now that we have the part and the movie has come out, like, we didn`t really think of all that stuff.

And I think, for her, she probably just felt like she was falling in love with a guy and didn`t really know the reality of what it would be. And now, it`s just crazy. Look at it. It`s nuts.

ANDERSON: Nico, I know that you have said that you really admire Prince William. What about him do you most admire?

SWINDELL: I just - I look at his maturity in the face of all of this and how he handles himself and just his general composure. I admire that aspect, you know.

It`s like Camilla says, they`ve got to put one a lot and deal with a lot of attention and he does it very well.

ANDERSON: He does seem cool as a cucumber, doesn`t he?

SWINDELL: He does. He does.

ANDERSON: At least on the surface. He`s calm. Well, let`s talk about the wedding dress, because it has been kept under lock and key.

Camilla, what do you think Kate will wear? What do you think the wedding dress will look like?

LUDDINGTON: I don`t know. I think she`ll probably go with a British designer. And I would like to see her go with someone that maybe people don`t expect, someone like Alexander McQueen.

But I know that she has restrictions. It has to be a little high neck, long sleeves. Who knows?

ANDERSON: Well, one thing for sure, we will not know exactly what it is until she steps out of that Rolls-Royce. It will be great moment.

LUDDINGTON: It will be.

(CROSS TALK)

SWINDELL: I might even recommend that he has a spare pair of pants or something. I was at a party the other night and I did a high kick and I split my pants. So I think it`s always a good idea to have backup pants.

ANDERSON: You`ve got to be prepared for anything, even high kicks.

LUDDINGTON: Yes.

SWINDELL: A high kick - you never know where it`s going to go.

ANDERSON: Well, you know, these two have been together for a really long time.

SWINDELL: Yes.

ANDERSON: Their courtship has lasted, what, eight, nine years. So they`ve taken their time. They seem prepared for this. Do you think it`s the love that is going to last a lifetime?

SWINDELL: I hope so. I really hope so.

LUDDINGTON: I definitely think so. I think they have taken their time. You know, Diana was 19 when she got married. Kate`s older. She`s the oldest bride to be marrying into the royal family, but I think that brings maturity.

I think she`s a grown woman and I think that it will definitely help with all the stress of being a royal. And it gives them a higher success rate. Hopefully, they`ll be together forever.

ANDERSON: Do you guys have any well wishes for Kate and William?

SWINDELL: Yes, wish them the very best. I think it`s great.

ANDERSON: Yes.

LUDDINGTON: And I say, don`t read the press.

ANDERSON: That`s good advice, because no matter what -

LUDDINGTON: It puts a lot of stress in relationships.

ANDERSON: Yes.

LUDDINGTON: And of course, they`re an iconic couple right now. But if they focus on themselves and their love for each other, they`ll have a great marriage.

ANDERSON: Camilla, thank you so much. Camilla Luddington -

LUDDINGTON: You`re so awesome.

ANDERSON: Nico Evers-Swindell, thank you so much.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

Nico and Camilla were a whole lot of fun. And you can see the movie, "William and Kate," any time you want. It is now out on DVD.

HAMMER: All right, Brooke. I`ve got to ask you something because I know about two billion people are expected to watch the royal wedding around the world on Friday. I would like for you to take a guess, seeing all the media coverage there, the coverage for the wedding, how many international media outlets do you think are in London right now covering the whole deal?

ANDERSON: Well, of course, journalists are here from around the world. Tourists are here from around the world. But A.J., by the end of the week, more than 8,500 journalists will be here credentialed to cover the royal wedding.

So you know, everybody`s here. I`m in this area where the studios are lined up next to each other in front of Buckingham Palace. NBC, CBS, ABC - the gang`s all here and we are just really thrilled to be a part of this important special moment in history and have the chance to cover it.

But I`ve got to say, A.J., if you do need a little royal wedding break right now, have I a treat for you. Because, has the new Susan Boyle been discovered? Here`s a video that has just gone around the globe.

HAMMER: Yes. Edward Reid is a contestant on "Britain`s Got Talent." And his recent performance was so unexpected, so engrossing that Edward is being called the next Susan Boyle. Take a look at this.

(SINGING)

HAMMER: He definitely got everybody`s attention. I love what one of the judges said after Edward`s performance. He said Edward might not get a record deal, but he might get booked for Elton John`s baby`s first birthday party. He could be on to something there. I don`t know.

All right. Let`s move on now - how Christina Aguilera is doing after her Super Bowl national anthem disaster. For the very first time today, Christina speaking out about what happened. Has she gotten over that mess? That is next.

Ex-"American Idol" judge, Kara DioGuardi, slamming "Idol" today. Was Kara set up to fail?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DIOGUARDI: It took the viewers a while to understand why I was going. It was like I broke up the Beatles.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes. You were interrupting the chemistry of this panel of judges.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Coming up next, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, did Kara get a raw deal?

Royal pains? We`ve got the best royal wedding coverage anywhere, of course. But I think some of our TV buddies may have gone a bit too far.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Will and Kate seat for your own throne.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: For $200, you can get a Kate Middleton statuette.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The royal wedding sick bag.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The royal wedding souvenir of the day.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The very best and the very worst of the royal media madness, coming up. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Time now for the SHOWBIZ royal wedding watch - the inside stories and excitement surrounding the royal wedding.

TEXT: After the wedding ceremony, seven royal air force aircraft will fly over Buckingham Palace. "DWTS" pro Louis Van Amstel remembers watching Prince Charles and Princess Diana`s wedding.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LOUIS VAN AMSTEL, "DANCING WITH THE STARS": I hope that this wedding is going to be 10 percent of what that wedding was because Diana - what a woman. What a woman. She changed the whole royal family. Their whole reputation - she changed it. And I think Kate Middleton can actually do the same.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Did you see this? It`s the royal "View." The ladies of "The View" get caught up in wedding fever and dress up like the royal clan.

Sherri Shepherd is Prince William. Elisabeth Hasselbeck is the blushing bride. HLN`s Joy Behar is Camilla Parker Bowles. And Whoopi Goldberg, of course, is the queen.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson, live in London all week long, covering the excitement, the pageantry of the royal wedding.

HAMMER: A lot of excitement it is, Brooke. And I`ve seen a couple of TV personalities wearing those royal masks. But I know you`ve got to be finding some other really cool and wacky souvenirs this week. What are you seeing?

ANDERSON: Yes. The toilet seat cover is one of a kind, A.J. I can`t believe they`re actually selling those commemorative toilet seat covers. But also, you know, here`s a lighter with William and Kate`s picture on it.

But we found out after we bought it, it doesn`t really light. No fluid. So kind of a little bit of a rip-off. But hey, it`s still a keepsake, I suppose. Even their shot glasses, A.J., are dainty and cute with Will and Kate`s picture.

HAMMER: Wow. Dainty indeed. Bring a bunch of those home for us, would you? All right. Well, some very special royal keepsakes have just been uncovered for the very first time in 30 years.

Did you see this? They are never-before-seen pictures of Prince William - aww, look at that. He was just five months old. Take a look at this amazing discovery. It was revealed today on the "Today" show.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: so these photos were taken in November of 1982, just five months old, a beautiful shot there with his mom, Diana. They were taken at Kensington Palace.

The former agent of this photographer left roughly 100,000 photographs behind in this building. As you know, it was in east London. They are not all of the royals. Here`s just a sampling. That`s an adorable one of William with his parents.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: They are definitely adorable. But you kind of got to feel for Prince William, right? I`m sure, somewhere, he`s seeing this and cringing that his baby pictures are being shown all over the world days before his big wedding. I`m just saying.

HAMMER: All right. Moving on now to "American Idol`s" raw deal. Today, former "Idol" judge, Kara DioGuardi, is revealing some surprising new details behind her stint on "Idol."

Now, DioGuardi went off today about why the show made her feel like a major outsider. The question is, was she set up to fail?

Let me go right to somebody who definitely knows about this kind of stuff, big time television personality, SHOWBIZ newsmaker, Carson Daly, joining me right now in New York. Carson, the host of the spectacular new music talent show called "The Voice." Don`t miss it Tuesday nights on NBC. Great to see you, my friend.

CARSON DALY, HOST, "THE VOICE": It`s great to be here.

HAMMER: Look, there`s been no avoiding the inevitable comparisons between "The Voice," your new show, and "American Idol."

DALY: Right.

HAMMER: So I`ve got to get your take on the big news that`s breaking today. Kara DioGuardi giving this brand-new interview on the "Today" show. And she says, basically, they did a terrible job of selling her to the audience. I want you to watch what she told Matt Lauer about this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DIOGUARDI: I think they did do a montage at the beginning to introduce me. But I think people were so confused by songwriter - what is she? Record executive - what are these things?

Because I don`t even think that a lot of people know that that`s a job, that people write songs. So it took the viewers a while to understand why I was there. It was like I broke up the Beatles.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know, I like Kara a lot. But it kind of sounds to me like she`s blaming the show for the fact that the audience didn`t necessarily connect with her. Do you think she got a raw deal.

DALY: I don`t know. It also sounds like a trap. I don`t want to comment too much. I have a show on tonight that`s being compared to "American Idol," so I don`t want to come off looking bad.

I don`t watch "American Idol." I didn`t see Kara`s season at all. I do respect her for her songwriting and I thought that`s an important part of all of these shows that you write some real music, authenticity and validity. I think she brought that to the show.

I don`t think viewers know that, but when you have a run like "American Idol," at some point, there`s going to be a judge that comes in and is the Yoko Ono. I think it`s just bad timing more than anything.

HAMMER: Yes. She also came in at a particularly bad time for the show in general. Anybody might have borne the brunt of what she had to deal with.

DALY: Right.

HAMMER: One of your judges on "The Voice" - and I think it was an inspired choice. But she`s gone through a total transformation this year. I`m talking about Christina Aguilera.

She opened up for the very first time today about, well, the fact that she flubbed pretty nastily the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Watch what she told Ellen about that. She`s speaking out today.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHRISTINA AGUILERA, SINGER: And then, it`s like - oh. And that night, I knew. I was like, I just made myself a Trivial Pursuit question.

In 2011, what female singer, you know, flubbed the lyrics? It`s just insane. But you know, I had a really good laugh about it. And you know, you get over things and, you know, you get back up again. And you just prove to yourself and everyone that you`re just that much stronger.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: You know, I tried to have her back during this whole thing. But the media was not kind to her after the whole mess. Do you think she got a raw deal?

DALY: No, she messed up the "Star Spangled Banner." That`s a problem. That`s our national anthem.

HAMMER: At the Super Bowl.

DALY: Absolutely. Absolutely not. She didn`t get a raw deal. But what you`re seeing there is the Christina that we saw in shooting "The Voice." You`ll see it tonight when the show premiers. It`s probably somebody different than who you`re expecting to see.

HAMMER: Right.

DALY: People, I think, have this perception of her being guarded, constantly defensive. It`s been a rough year. "The Voice" came at a great time for her. She owns the show. She`s great in it and I love her attitude.

Now, this is what America wants to see. If someone wants to say, "Hey, you know what? I did screw up. I`m sorry. Let`s move on."

HAMMER: Well, see, I`m all about keeping it real. And you did this very recently yourself. And I was really happy to see that you did this, taking on the Britney Spears PR machine in a little bit of a showdown.

Basically, she was scheduled to be on your show. And then, her people wanted to take control of the interview, so you not so happy about that. Tweeted this, "I was just told my @BritneySpears interview must be prerecorded and submitted for approval by her management before it can air. F that." So there was no interview as we know.

DALY: Yes.

HAMMER: Any regrets? I totally (INAUDIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

DALY: No. Not at all. Absolutely not. It`s amazing how much of a story that was and how many people in the media were sort of thankful that I said that. I didn`t mean to cause the storm it did.

HAMMER: You tweet, it`s going to happen.

DALY: It`s amazing that it`s out there. But you know, it was simple. I wasn`t going to have her on. They said, "Record the interview." That wasn`t a problem. "Send us the interview for edits. We`ll send it back to you." And I thought, you know what? I wouldn`t do anybody in that regard.

HAMMER: I want to ask you quickly about "The Voice." I saw the preview and it just looks like the show that is one to really take on "Idol," which everybody`s been making the comparison. But tell me very quickly, what`s the big (INAUDIBLE).

(CROSS TALK)

DALY: We`re not trying to take on "Idol."

HAMMER: Right.

DALY: There`s plenty of room for more than one of these shows. This is about "The Voice." It`s not about the quest to be a celebrity.

It`s about mentoring. It`s about coaching. It`s about currency. It`s a fresh take on what people already like in "Idol." So enjoy your "Idol" and your "X Factor," but add the voice.

HAMMER: Great to you have as the host but also your cast of judges - terrific.

DALY: Thank you.

HAMMER: Good luck with this. Good to see you.

DALY: Good to see you, too. Thanks for having me.

HAMMER: All right. Make sure you catch "The Voice" on NBC Tuesday nights. We`re moving on now because we`ve got the best royal coverage anywhere. Some of our friends around the dial - they are becoming royal pains in the neck, if you ask me. They`re going a little royal crazy.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MOOS: The media competition was fierce -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I went shopping today.

MOOS: To find the most ridiculous souvenirs.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There is refrigerator, commemorative refrigerator with Will and Kate on it.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: The very best and the very worst of the royal media madness, next. And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - it`s the SHOWBIZ royal wedding watch - the inside stories and excitement surrounding the royal wedding.

TEXT: Kate Middleton will one day become the country`s sixth Queen Catherine. Actress Great Gerwig says why she will be upset while watching the royal wedding.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GRETA GERWIG, ACTRESS: I love all things royal. I spent most of my life believing that I was going to marry Prince William, so I`m a little upset about this. But I`m definitely watching.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: It is time now for the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT buzz list. Here what`s the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff is buzzing all about this week.

The debut of "The Voice" tonight on NBC. We are grooving to the new CD by legendary reggae band, Third World. It`s great. It`s called "Patriots."

We`re also buzzing about the amazing Broadway musical, "Catch Me If You Can." This is based on the film that stars Leonardo DiCaprio. We are loving the remix of the Britney Spears song, "Till the World Ends." It features Kesha and Nikki Minaj.

And we are buzzing but a little bit bummed out about Steve Carell saying good-bye to "The Office" Thursday night. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

(SINGING)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: There`s the gorgeous Buckingham Palace, so serene, so quiet tonight. Come Friday, it`s going to be crazy!

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson, live in London all week long covering the royal wedding. A.J. Hammer is in New York.

And A.J., can you wrap your mind around this? Some people are suffering from royal wedding overload.

HAMMER: It`s like the Super Bowl and Oscars all rolled into one, Brooke. Who wouldn`t love that? Here`s CNN`s Jeanne Moos for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

MOOS: Don`t expect to be able to get the royal theme music out of your head. And don`t expect weighty questions, except for this one.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Has Kate Middleton lost too much weight?

MOOS: Do expect anchors to be playing dress up.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hello, love.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hello, darling.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I love you.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You look fabulous.

MOOS: From masks to crowns.

REGIS PHILBIN, CO-HOST, "LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY": And your prince awaits.

MOOS: To hats.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: From ABC News -

MOOS: A British accent.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Live at the royal wedding.

MOOS (on camera): On an American network?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Share the moment, Friday, live from London -

MOOS (voice-over): Wait a minute, that`s a second network. By the end of the week, will all of American television sound like the BBC?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s Barbara Walters with a special royal "20/20."

MOOS: The media competition was fierce.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It`s getting (INAUDIBLE) shopping today.

MOOS: To find the most ridiculous souvenirs.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: There is a refrigerator, a commemorative refrigerator with Will and Kate on it.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": Do you think Americans really give a flying - I don`t care. I don`t care.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes and I love you.

(END VIDEOTAPE)
