Aired November 29, 2010 - 23:00:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: There`s big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - carding the Kardashians. The outrage today over the Kourtney, Khloe and Kim debit card. And why a big-time politician is not only saying you should leave home without it, but he may also sue.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: The most shocking reality show ever? Brides-to- be competing for plastic surgery.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Come grab your syringe and go down to the injectable party.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: The unbelievable coast-to-coast anger today over this brand new nip-and-tuck nightmare.

HAMMER: The big news breaking today about the hottest star couples - Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal, A-Rod and Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson. The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - love them or hate them?

ANDERSON: The royal wedding debate today. Should Susan Boyle sing for William and Kate?

HAMMER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show -

ANDERSON: Starts right now!

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - veiled outrage. What may be one of the most shocking reality shows ever has just debuted. And today, even the queen of reality show, Kim Kardashian, was shaking her head.

It`s a show about brides-to-be. The show is called "Bridalplasty," women competing to get plastic surgery before they get married.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You have some breast shape issues with conical shape to your breast, right? You have perfect breasts for doing a breast augmentation, and then, liposuction of the tummy, right here, lower part.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes. They are all competing to pull a Heidi Montag before they say I do. I do? Come on, ladies. Please say, "I don`t."

With us, right now, in Hollywood, Wendy Walsh, who is a TV journalist and doctor of psychology. In New York, Midwin Charles, who is an attorney with Midwin Charles and Associates.

Ladies, I`ve got to say I think this it is very sad that these women are so unhappy with themselves and, obviously, they have such deep-seated issues that they would subject themselves to doing something so very extreme.

And what these ladies are competing for on the show is just mind boggling. You`ve got to watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: As you finish, your puzzles, you may grab a syringe, go downstairs where Dr. Dubrow and his staff will be having an exclusive, first-class injectable party.

Kristin(ph), you are the first bride to complete your puzzle. Come grab your syringe and go down to the injectable party.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, my gosh! My puzzle`s right. I want this fat face fixed.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. Wendy, they are competing to get into this exclusive injectable party, which leaves us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint, are you horrified or are you entertained?

WENDY WALSH, TV JOURNALIST AND DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGY: Well, I`m neither. I`m not surprised, though. This is just one step further after "The Swan" and extreme makeover where marriages are on the decline. So people are literally creating a circus of it and the brides have become the clowns. That`s what we`re seeing here.

ANDERSON: And they`re so young. Most of these girls are in their 20s, a couple in their early 30s. Midwin, off to you, to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - are you horrified or are you entertained?

MIDWIN CHARLES, ATTORNEY, MIDWIN CHARLES AND ASSOCIATES: You know, like Wendy said, neither. I mean, this is not surprising and it really is a reflection of where we are in America in terms of appearance and beauty.

Listen, millions of men and women are getting plastic surgery. It is something that is financially within a lot of people`s reach. So this is just a reflection of what`s going on in America. And unfortunately, it`s ugly.

ANDERSON: Yes, it`s an unfortunate reality. You`re right. Well, today on "The View," even Sherri Shepherd revealed that she has a problem with the fact that these women are trying to compete for a dream wedding and, in doing so, are going to such drastic lengths. Watch what she said.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": It`s the craziest thing. I can understand - and you get a big giant, lavish wedding. I can understand that because everybody or a lot of people want a big huge wedding. But the fact that you`ve got to change your body and morph into somebody else to get it?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. Wendy, what`s even more mind-boggling is that these husbands-to-be won`t even see their new made-over bride until she walks down the aisle, until she`s at the altar. So I`m thinking the husbands should ask for a money-back guarantee. I mean, this could be good. It could be really bad.

WALSH: It`s frightening to think that the grooms have also signed on to this mess. But the truth is the thing that disturbs me more than anything is the amount of young women in our culture who believe that their physical beauty is their most important asset, and, in fact, their only asset. And they`ve gone away from their internal beauty and the stuff that really matters.

ANDERSON: It`s a sad and superficial way to look at life and to look at true happiness. Midwin, what do you think? And the fact these guys are going to see their brides for the first time, their new looks, at the altar just confounds me.

I mean, they obviously love these women the way they are or they would not have proposed, would not have agreed to marry them.

CHARLES: You know, I think you`re right. It is surprising that the men would sign up for this. But again, what I don`t find surprising is that women do identify themselves with what they look like.

Remember, the beauty industry is a billion dollar industry, so this is not surprising at all to me. Unfortunately, when we see it on the screen that way, it`s kind of like, "Ooh, I can`t believe we have come to this," but that is the reality of it all. Hey, no pun intended but that`s the reality of where we are as a society.

ANDERSON: Yes, well, who better to ask about all this than the queen of reality shows, Kim Kardashian. Kim was on "The View" this morning with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney and they were asked about the idea of brides overhauling their looks before their big wedding day. Watch what they said about it.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KIM KARDASHIAN, REALITY TV STAR: That`s a little crazy. And you don`t see your husband until -

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You walk down the aisle.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What if he doesn`t like what he sees? What if he doesn`t recognize you?

SHEPHERD: You`ve got to get married anyway.

BARBARA WALTERS, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER AND CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": How do you feel about plastic surgery?

KIM KARDASHIAN: I mean, I don`t think there`s anything wrong with it. You know, one day, especially after having kids, you`ll need a lift.

WALTERS: One day, you`ll do it?

KIM KARDASHIAN I mean, I think so - for sure.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. The Kardashian sisters were pretty critical about this new show, but at the same time, you saw it. Kim confessed she would have plastic surgery if she felt that she needed it.

So Wendy, do you think that there are a lot of women out there who, like the Kardashian sisters, are shaking their heads at the women on this show but at the same time, like Midwin has been saying, understanding where they are coming from?

WALSH: Listen, you`re asking about hypocrisy, but the truth is that the average woman may look at herself and go, "You know, I like myself. I`m smart and I`m really good about my job. I would like to change one thing about my body. For the most part, I like my body."

So therefore she has a healthy self-esteem. She may want to fix one thing. These women are pulling a Heidi Montag here.

ANDERSON: Yes. These wish lists are very, very long.

WALSH: Extreme.

ANDERSON: A.J., what do you think about all of this?

HAMMER: I think, yes, these women are obsessed if it`s different. And a lot of them are enviably pretty, you know, really good-looking women.

And it`s hard for me not to believe that there are some young women out there who perhaps are insecure about their own bodies. They`re going to watch a show like this. And we`ve had this discussion before.

But now, here`s another show doing it. They`ll see these women. Not only will they then feel worse about themselves, but then, they will feel compelled to pursue plastic surgery thinking it`s going to make them feel better.

And again, some of these are very young women. One, the one who`s on "The Biggest Loser" who`s on the show - she`s 21 years old.

ANDERSON: Yes.

HAMMER: All right. Well, let`s move on to even more big news that`s breaking today. Rachel Uchitel - you remember Rachel? She became famous for allegedly being Tiger Woods` mistress.

Well, she`s speaking out in a brand-new interviews today. Now, Uchitel is starring in the new season of "Celebrity Rehab" with Dr. Drew. And she sat down alongside Dr. Drew this morning on the "Today" show. And she confessed why she went on "Celebrity Rehab." Take a look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

RACHEL UCHITEL, ALLEGED MISTRESS OF TIGER WOODS: I went on the show because I knew at the time that I needed help. And I didn`t know exactly what was going on with me, but I knew that I needed help and I wanted to get it from Dr. Drew.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What kind of help?

DR. DREW PINSKY, PSYCHIATRIST: Well, the fact is she was in distress. And I didn`t know what the problem was either yet, except there were issues around pills and alcohol and compulsive issues in relationships. And so we took a good look at this. And it turned out the primary issue was love addiction.

HAMMER: OK. Well, there you have it. Dr. Drew says Rachel Uchitel did suffer from love addiction. Wendy, I would think that just like people can identify with what those brides are doing in that plastic surgery show, a lot of people are going to get where Rachel`s coming from.

WALSH: Of course, they will, A.J., because what he`s actually talking about, the real textbook definition is an anxious attachment disorder. It`s sort of an addiction to longing, not an addiction to real love.

In fact, he even said on the show it`s the intensity more than the intimacy. So these women and some men go on this rollercoaster of being rewarded with these amazing highs and then having the object of their attraction disappear and they hit an all-time low.

And I think people will start to sympathize with Rachel once they really understand the disorder.

HAMMER: Yes. Pardon me for getting a little Oprah-esque, but it could be a teaching moment. We can`t discount that. She`s identifying something along with Dr. Drew that could be a problem for people.

CHARLES: I`m not buying it. I`m sorry. I have all respect for Dr. Drew. I really love the work that he does with his show. But you could tell the help she really needs is trying to extend those 15 minutes of fame. I`m sorry, but I`m not buying any addiction on her part.

HAMMER: That`s your take. Appreciate you chiming in. Wendy Walsh, Midwin Charles, thanks, guys.

ANDERSON: Well, I want to tell you about some other news about "Celebrity Rehab`s" Dr. Drew. He`s getting his own show right here on HLN.

HAMMER: Very happy about this, Brooke. We are happy to reveal that Dr. Drew Pinsky is now a member of the HLN family. He`s going to be joining our primetime lineup. You know, Drew`s has also been a great guest on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT many times. I`m certain this is going to be a great new show.

ANDERSON: Oh, no doubt, A.J. It`s scheduled to launch spring 2011, again, that`s right here on HLN.

HAMMER: Yes. So Drew, on behalf of everyone here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, we say welcome. Little round of applause for Dr. Drew. You can applaud. Keep it going right there.

All right. Let`s move on right now. Just in today, big news about the hottest star couples. I`m talking about Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal, A-Rod and Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson. The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today, these star couples - love them or hate them?

ANDERSON: The Kardashians are getting carded today. There`s brand-new outrage and a new twist today over the Kourtney, Khloe and Kim debit card.

HAMMER: And Justin Bieber is under fire today for this controversial brand-new performance.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: But wait, there`s more. Did the Bieb really change his hair? You know, the famous bold mop top? Oh, the horror of just thinking about it! This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Eva Longoria is developing a soap opera and a sitcom for ABC. Rihanna tells Kanye West she has "a lot of other stuff to accomplish" before having kids.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Holy (EXPLETIVE DELETED)!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Did you see this? Well, you otter see this. Caught on tape, an otter attack. This teenager was apparently just minding his own business in his backyard in Florida when the otter popped out of the water and bit him. He had to get some precautionary rabies shot. We hear he`s OK, but he has a big bandage on his leg now.

Expect that. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York with Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: That`s right and, now, he`ll be back. The big question today is, as what? I`m talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger.

You won`t be able to call this guy the "governator" soon because his run as California governor ends next month. So what is Arnold`s next move? Will he go Hollywood again? Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Arnold Schwarzenegger rode into office as the governor of California on a wave of enthusiastic support. Back in 2003, California voters saw the Hollywood action hero as the perfect fix for the state`s supersized problems.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

In his two terms in office, Governator has battled budget, wildfires and political foes. Despite some successes, Schwarzenegger will be stepping out of Sacramento with approval ratings hovering around 22 percent according to the most recent field polls.

With numbers like that, will this one-time movie star be packing it up with politics and heading back to Hollywood?

HOWARD BRAGMAN, CELEBRITY PUBLICIST: Arnold - well, he may not be popular as a politician. He is, worldwide, an incredibly popular figure. And I think a lot of people who may not be happy with the way he ran the state would be happy to see him in a film or read a book by him because he`s lived a fascinating life.

ANDERSON: Media strategist and Hollywood insider Howard Bragman`s take on Schwarzenegger`s next move - Arnold, keep your options open.

BRAGMAN: He`s a man with all the money and all the time in the world. And the dumbest thing to do would be to rush out and feel like he has to grab something right away. I think he should operate on a very measured pace and very deliberate and rebuild the image, but only after determining what he wants that image to be.

ANDERSON: At the moment Schwarzenegger doesn`t appear to be focused on a new image. In a recent Tweetcast, the governor said he`s still focused on the job at hand.

BRAGMAN: I think there`s so much work that needs to be done now before January, before I`m finished. But after that, I can sit down and go, "Now, let`s think about the next move."

ANDERSON: But Schwarzenegger did drop a hint on what his first move out of office may be.

SCHWARZENEGGER: I will be writing, obviously, books because, you know, for two decades now, publishers have been after me to write, you know, an autobiography and I never had the patience to do it, because it`s very hard for me to look back. I always like to look forward and move forward.

ANDERSON: So while Schwarzenegger contemplates how he`ll move forward, his wife, Maria Shriver, appears to be putting the wheels in motion for a return to primetime as a television journalist.

Shriver is still able to book the big guests. Her wildly successful recent women`s conference was headlined by First Lady Michelle Obama. Bragman says Shriver`s name carries clout.

BRAN: When you`re either a publicist or you`re a celebrity and you`re somebody who suddenly becomes famous, and the one-named people, the Matts and the Oprahs and the Marias and the Larrys call you, it`s very heavy stuff. And I think she can be as powerful as she was or possibly even more powerful.

ANDERSON: But Shriver isn`t giving her plans away just yet.

MARIA SHRIVER, ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER`S WIFE: I`m going to take a deep breath. I`m going to open my heart and open my mind to the unknown.

ANDERSON: Unknown for now. But when it comes to this power couple, you can bet they`ll remain in the public eye.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: And A.J., listen to this - Arnold had actually flirted with the idea of running for president, but the Constitution would have to be changed because he wasn`t born here.

HAMMER: Yes.

ANDERSON: He was born in Austria. I`d say maybe go back to film. Why not?

HAMMER: I`d like to see him back in Hollywood. I`ve always enjoyed him not only as an actor in the kinds of film that he would do, of course, but as a Hollywood personality. He was one of those fun guys, great to sit down and interview him in the Hollywood type of a setting.

ANDERSON: Absolutely.

HAMMER: I`d be just as happy if he would do that. All right. As we move on today, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney. Those Kardashian women could actually be in big trouble today. There`s outrage over their new debit card, in fact, so much outrage that a big-time politician may have sued over this. I quite frankly think a Kardashian debit card is a pretty strange idea to begin with.

ANDERSON: OK. Is Charlie Sheen`s ex in rehab? brand new reports today that Brooke Mueller had to check into rehab after partying with Paris Hilton. We are setting the record straight on this today.

HAMMER: And Brooke, there`s a big new royal wedding debate today. Should Susan Boyle be at that royal wedding for Prince William and Kate? This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: "Jersey Shore" cast, Kate Middleton on Barbara Walters` "Most Fascinating People" list. "Harry Potter" movie tops weekend box office, taking in $76.3 million through Sunday.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DANIEL RADCLIFFE, ACTOR (as Harry Potter): Nobody else is going to die, not for me.

RUPERT GRINT, ACTOR (as Ron Weasley): You may be the Chosen One, mate, but this is a whole lot bigger than that. It`s always been bigger than that.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: The stewardess said - both pilots?

LESLIE NIELSEN, ACTOR: Can you fly this plane and land it?

UNIDENTIFIED ACTOR: Surely, you can`t be serious.

NIELSEN: I am serious. And don`t call me Shirley.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Oh, that is one of my favorite movies of all time. And in fact, I`m one of those people that goes around quoting "Airplane," "Ever seen a grown man naked?"

And one of the funniest actors of all time, Leslie Nielsen right there, the sad news today, Leslie Nielsen has passed away at the age of 84.

And Brooke, besides the "Airplane," of course, Nielsen also starred in all those "Naked Gun" movies.

ANDERSON: Yes, he did, A.J. And what a lot of people don`t know is that Leslie was actually a dramatic actor before landing that "Airplane" role back in 1980.

He was the captain in the original "Poseidon Adventure" in 1972. But yes, he will be most remembered for playing the bungling doctor in "Airplane" and as Lt. Frank Drebin in the "Naked Gun" series. Recently, Leslie was in "Scary Movie" three and four.

I want to share with you now this SHOWBIZ iReport we got today. It`s from our iReporter Al M. in California who is really going to miss Leslie.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AL M., IREPORTER: We`re really going to miss Leslie Nielsen. I`m sure up there in heaven - Hollywood heaven, he`s really, really, really laughing right now because, again, one of the greatest comedic actors of the modern era.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: So true. Leslie Nielsen died of complications related to pneumonia on Sunday in Florida. He was 84 years old.

HAMMER: And as we move on, on Thanksgiving, we asked on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page which star family would you like to spend your Thanksgiving with - the Kardashians, the Palins or the Jolie-Pitts?

Justin Bieber under fire today for two big things - a controversial new performance and for what he did to his hair.

And the Kardashian girls under fire today. There is a shocking new twist today involving the Kardashian debit card. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: It`s time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: "Project Runway" judge Nina Garcia gives birth to a baby boy. CBS renews soap opera "The Young and the Restless" for three more years.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Big news breaking today on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT - carding the Kardashians. The outrage today over Kim, Khloe and Kourtney`s debit card.

ANDERSON: Hot new Hollywood couples. Taylor and Jake. A-Rod and Cameron. Jessica and Eric. The SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - love them or hate them?

HAMMER: Outrage today over Justin Bieber`s controversial new performance. Watch this.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: And the Bieb does the unthinkable. He changes his hair. Whoo!

Plus, breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker," Willie Nelson gets popped for pot. And Jay-Z now a best-selling author.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer coming to you from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - Kardashian crackdown.

HAMMER: Yes, Brooke. Kim and her sisters sparked massive outrage today after a high-powered politician called them dangerous to teens everywhere.

Now, the big ruckus is over their Kardashian card. It`s a prepaid debit card and it can cost up to $100 to sign up for. And it has so many fees that critics say they are almost impossible to keep up with. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you there has been a surprising new twist breaking late today.

Right now, in New York, Sunny Hostin - she is a legal contributor for "In Session" on Tru TV. Also, in New York, Midwin Charles. She`s an attorney and runs Midwin Charles and Associates.

OK. So here`s the deal. Today, the Connecticut attorney general slammed the sky-high fees associated with Kim, Kourtney and Khloe`s Kardashian card saying in a statement to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT this, "This card appears to specifically target young adults in evoking the name and image of the Kardashian family who showcase lives of luxury and extravagance."

"Known for their reality show, `Keeping Up with the Kardashians,` the family is marketing a dangerous financial fantasy."

Now, late today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT did learn the Kardashians contacted Connecticut`s top attorney and promised to pull the plug on the card. I`d say that`s pretty good news. Sunny, do you think they avoided some major legal fallout with this last-minute decision?

SUNNY HOSTIN, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION": they did and they endeared parents to them which I think is key, because parents are concerned about their kids trying to emulate the Kardashian lifestyle, the luxury lifestyle. And by pulling the plug on the credit card, I think the parents are going to like them even more. So that`s a big, big move for them.

HAMMER: Yes. This was the right move. It was a smart move. And let`s face it. You know, regardless of what you may think of them, say what you will, they have made smart, smart, smart decisions about their businesses, clothes, perfume.

The list goes on and on. Kim launched a line of watches today. So Midwin, I`m thinking by pulling the plug, they saved themselves some possible damage not only legally but also to their very valuable reputation.

CHARLES: I think they did. Thus far, just about everything they`ve touched has turned to gold. And this might be one of the first things that they`ve done that perhaps had a bit of a backlash. But I applaud the attorney general for kind of stepping out and doing what he`s supposed to do, which is protect consumers

HAMMER: Yes. Perhaps we can chalk this up to some bad advice handed over to the Kardashian sisters. Well, Kourtney, Khloe and Kim are trying to move past this whole debit card debacle.

Today, they happened to be on the hot seat on "The View" this morning, talking about almost everything else. This morning, Kim made a stunning revelation about her love life. Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

WALTERS: Are you dating Halle Berry`s ex, model Gabriel Aubry?

SHEPHERD: Oh, boy.

KIM KARDASHIAN: I`m single and I`m dating. And I`m having fun. I decided the entire year of me being 30, I`m going to try to be single.

WALTERS: One whole year.

KIM KARDASHIAN: I`m going to try. It doesn`t mean that I don`t meet gorgeous, amazing people. And you know I`m - but I`m trying.

WALTERS: OK. All right.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: She`s trying to be single. Now, Sunny, I watched you very carefully studying her face as she answered that question. You were focused in like a laser. A smart move or is it just spin in your mind?

HOSTIN: It`s just spin. I think it`s clear she`s dating him, but that was a wonderful little sort of trick there. She said, "I`m single and I`m dating and I`m having a good time."

And that`s really the way that you answer because Halle Berry is loved by so many people. People are upset about the breakup and then, she sort of comes in and looks like sort of the breakup master.

HAMMER: Yes. I don`t think that`s what happened here. But I do say - you know, I`m learning about the Kardashian sisters more and more every day. I did not realize that Kim was never single. She`s always been in a relationship since she was a teenager.

ANDERSON: Serial dater.

HAMMER: Never had time out, so she`s taking time out. Good move. All right. Let`s move on to breaking royal wedding news. Brooke Anderson, what`s going on?

ANDERSON: Well, there`s a brand-new mystery on both sides of the pond today, A.J. Is Susan Boyle going to sing at the wedding of the century, the wedding of Prince William and Kate?

Also, another question - is Charlie Sheen`s wife in rehab? New reports today. And Lady Gaga going silent to save lives. It`s all making big news in "The Buzz Today."

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over) Lady Gaga`s cyber death? In a shocking new ad campaign, Lady Gaga shut down her online life for charity.

In the campaign called Digital Life Sacrifice, stars like Gaga, Alicia Keys and the Kardashian sisters will sign out of Facebook and Twitter to raise money for Keep a Child Alive charity.

The stars just taped their last tweet and testament and will appear in coffins in the ads for World AIDS Day. The only way the stars can be brought back to life is if the charity gets $1 million dollars in donations.

Sheen`s wife in rehab? The mother of Charlie Sheen`s estranged wife, Brook Mueller, is striking back at those reports that Brooke spent Thanksgiving in rehab. Mueller`s mother tells "Access Hollywood" that Mueller, quote, "was not and is not in rehab."

Mueller was spotted by the paparazzi, Thanksgiving weekend, looking disheveled leading to the reports. But her mom says she was just getting coffee and didn`t think twice about how she looked.

Boyle`s royal engagement? In a brand-new interview, Simon Cowell revealed he would pick Susan Boyle to perform at Prince William`s royal wedding.

Cowell, who says Prince William is a fan of his show, "X Factor," tells "Extra" that he thinks Boyle would be the perfect choice and that she should sing "Dreamed a Dream." Prince William is set to marry Kate Middleton in April.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: I think Susan Boyle singing at Prince William and Kate Middleton`s wedding would be an amazing coup. Midwin, do you think the royal wedding planners are working their fingers to the bone today to make this happen?

CHARLES: I certainly hope that they are. Listen, I love Susan Boyle. I love everything that she stands for. I mean, a woman who just didn`t look the part, stepped out on stage after so many years and is now living her dream. I mean, who can`t relate to that?

HOSTIN: I can`t relate, Midwin. I can`t relate. I disagree.

(CROSS TALK)

Her 15 minutes are over.

CHARLES: And the millions of albums that she sold say so.

HOSTIN: Her 15 minutes are over. And I think this is a really hip, a really now couple. I just can`t imagine that they`re going to -

ANDERSON: But Sunny, her voice is like that of an angel.

HOSTIN: I never liked her voice.

ANDERSON: If not Susan Boyle - if not Susan Boyle, Sunny, then who?

HOSTIN: I`m thinking someone kind of hip, kind of now, maybe, you know, Alicia Keys, maybe a little Jay-Z, something just a little hip. We know that his mom, Princess Diana, was on the music scene. She was good friends with Sir Elton John. Maybe Elton John. But Susan Boyle?

(CROSS TALK)

ANDERSON: Maybe Elton John. Midwin, could do you Elton John?

CHARLES: I could.

ANDERSON: Or Susan Boyle could do a duet with Elton John.

CHARLES: Yes.

ANDERSON: He was good friends with Princess Di.

HOSTIN: Yes. Maybe. Maybe.

CHARLES: I think Elton John would be a great pick because he did write a song and sing it at Princess Diana`s funeral. So I just thought this would be a beautiful way to kind of round things out.

HOSTIN: I`ll do that one. I`ll do that one.

ANDERSON: Sunny would accept Susan if she had a wing man maybe.

HOSTIN: Yes.

ANDERSON: All right. Sunny Hostin, Midwin Charles, thank you both.

ANDERSON: There`s big Oscar buzz today. We`re going to reveal right here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT who will be hosting the 2011 Oscars.

HAMMER: It`s not who you think it would be either. Wait until you hear that. And also, Justin Bieber under fire today for this controversial performance.

HAMMER: This just in today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT has just learned two big stars will be hosting the Oscars this year. It`s Anne Hathaway and James Franco.

ANDERSON: Yes. And neither is a stranger to the Oscars, especially Anne, because she had that song-and-dance routine two years ago with Hugh Jackman when he hosted. And it surprised a lot of people there. It was great.

HAMMER: Yes. And I actually thought she was really good. Anne Hathaway, by the way, was nominated for an Oscar back in 2008 for "Rachel Getting Married." And there`s lots of buzz for James Franco`s performance in "127 Hours." Franco plays a guy that actually has to cut off his own arm to save his own life, Brooke.

ANDERSON: That`s right. And the Oscars are, of course, on February 27th here in Hollywood. You know SHOWBIZ TONIGHT will be right there. A.J., I think it`s an inspired choice. Anne and James - they`re hip. They`re fresh. They can sing. They can dance. So Oscar producers are hoping to revitalize that telecast.

HAMMER: Yes. Keep them fresh. I actually like to call them a very modern choice, Brooke. I think it`s a really smart move. She is simply (UNINTELLIGIBLE) and he`s a really good guy. I think they`ll actually do well.

All right. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York, Brooke Anderson is in Hollywood. We have big news breaking today, about to tackle the hottest couples in Hollywood.

ANDERSON: And here`s what we`re asking about their relationship, A.J. - love it or hate it? There was big news today about some of the biggest, highest profile couples in Hollywood from Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift to Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez.

Right now, in New York, Brian Balthazar from "PopGoesTheWeek.com." Also, right now, in New York, Noelle Nikpour, who is a columnist for "South Florida Sun Sentinel."

Brian, Noelle, there has been so much speculation about whether Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift are an actual couple. Is it official? He`s 29, she`s 20. They were spotted together in Brooklyn on Thanksgiving on the holiday.

Check out this picture posted today on "People.com" of Taylor and Jake. They were just enjoying breakfast in Taylor`s hometown of Nashville. Neither has officially confirmed a relationship. But really, right, it looks like things are getting serious.

I love these two. I think they`re cutie pies. Noelle, what do you think of this couple? Love them, hate them?

NOELLE NIKPOUR, COLUMNIST, "SOUTH FLORIDA SUN SENTINEL": Oh, my gosh, I love, love, love them together. But they are so good together. And you know what? They both had their hearts broken and they`re both really cute.

And I think they authentically want a romance and want a really good relationship. And I think it`s about time that both of them find somebody. And I love these two together. I`m so for this two.

ANDERSON: I do, too. And a nine-year age gap is nothing.

NIKPOUR: It`s nothing.

ANDERSON: Some people are talking about that. But Brian, what do you think? Jake and Taylor together, love it or hate it?

BRIAN BALTHAZAR, "POPGOESTHEWEEK.COM": I have to say I love it, too. I think they kept a - like those. I think they kept a relatively low profile.

ANDERSON: Those visual effects are nice.

BALTHAZAR: Yes. I love it. They`ve kept a pretty low profile which is nice. And the great thing is, when this all falls apart, Jake gets a song written about him. So -

ANDERSON: Oh, I don`t know if that`s a great thing for him or not, though.

BALTHAZAR: That happens every time. Yes. I think they`re a cute couple and they`re keeping it low key and just doing their thing and I like that.

ANDERSON: Well, we also learned today about another couple getting cozy over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. It seems that Cameron Diaz and Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez are back together again, and we`re asking love it or hate it?

A-Rod and Cameron sunning it up in Mexico. I really want Cameron to find a good guy. But Noelle, isn`t A-Rod a player? What do you think? Love it or hate it?

NIKPOUR: Well, Brooke, I like this. And the reason I like it is because I think both of them have met their match. She`s a little bit of a flirt. And you know, he`s got a roving eye. So I think this is a pair made in heaven. I like it.

ANDERSON: OK. Well, I can tell you that another one of Hollywood`s hottest couples also spent the holiday together. A.J., what was up with Jessica Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson?

HAMMER: Well, I am here to tell you, Brooke, that they spent their very first Thanksgiving together. Jessica whipped up some of her vegan dishes for her fiance and her family.

Now, at first - I`m going to be completely honest. I liked Jess a lot but I was worried about her getting involved with another sports star. But now, I have to say I love them.

And I can say that without the angelic bells, I guess. But Brian, there`s a lot of love in the room. What do you think of Jessica and Eric? Love them or hate them?

BALTHAZAR: I`ve got to say I hate them. First of all, don`t get me started on a tofu thanksgiving. I hate it. And I just feel that Jessica has an air of desperation about her right now.

You know, it came a week after her ex-husband drew his engagement. I just feel this is a desperate plea to prove everyone she`s happy and - I`m sorry, they just get the thumbs-down from me.

HAMMER: We did find out, by the way, there was a rumor, you`d be happy about this - that they had eaten a tofurkey. I mean, they actually didn`t eat the tofurkey.

(CROSS TALK)

BALTHAZAR: I mean, listen, I love the vegetarian and vegan people. But I`m not - Thanksgiving without meat is insane.

HAMMER: Noelle, are you - really? Oh, no. Are we going to hear the buzzer on you, too?

NIKPOUR: Yes. I`m not real crazy about either one of them. I like Jessica Simpson. I think she`s been through a whole lot, but I think too much, too quick, too soon. And they haven`t even dated a year, you know? Celebrity or not celebrity -

(CROSS TALK)

HAMMER: Here`s my theory - here`s my theory as to why this is OK because she has been through so much. So obviously, she knows when it`s the real thing perhaps at this point. She`s been through the tough things. She knows she`s got to get it right this time. No? Nobody`s with me?

BALTHAZAR: I think she is confused. She`s confused.

(CROSS TALK)

NIKPOUR: I think she`s confused. I think she`s wearing the suit of the Riddler. I think she has question marks and she has just jumped into it.

HAMMER: All right. Fair enough. I do want to talk about this couple - Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough. Now, he`s 35 years old; she`s 22 years old. They also spent the holiday together.

And I`ve got to say, I actually love this couple. I`m just a little concerned about Ryan`s busy schedule. He`s one of the busiest guys in showbiz, so I do hope that he takes enough time from that busy schedule to keep not only Julianne happy, but their relationship healthy. Brian, love it, hate it?

BALTHAZAR: Gentlemen, bring on the hearts. I love him. I think they`re great. He`s America. He`s apple pie. And I just think, you know, they`re adorable together. And so they go on a vacation. They went on a balcony and did a little kissy face for the press.

They`re giving the press what they want. They`re following them anyway. So I think they had a nice family trip. They were with friends and family and I`ve got to love it.

HAMMER: And you know what I`m saying? This is a guy with focus.

BALTHAZAR: Right.

HAMMER: And if he`s going to invest his time in somebody - he doesn`t have that much spare time.

BALTHAZAR: Yes.

HAMMER: He`s going to hopefully be doing that with the right person.

BALTHAZAR: Unlike Jessica, he knows what he wants and gets it.

HAMMER: Noelle, buzzer or bells? What are we going to hear? Love them or hate them?

NIKPOUR: You`re going to get a thumbs-up, so you get some bells. But I will say I think this is the most normal relationship out of them all. He`s already met her parents. I think they spent time in Paris.

HAMMER: Yes.

NIKPOUR: So they seem like they`re getting to know each other and they`re doing the day-to-day thing. Not Paris day-to-day. But I`m just saying that they`re getting to know each other and they`re dating. And I think it`s a great relationship and I think they`re two cool cats and I like it.

HAMMER: Yes. I have felt an awful lot of love in the room and it warms my heart in this the holiday season. Thank you very much, guys. Brian Balthazar, Noelle Nikpour, we appreciate it.

And in today`s exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll, we`re asking specifically about Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift reportedly dating. Love it? Hate it? You can text us your vote. You can send a text to 45688. Type "SBT1" to vote for "love it." Text "SBT2" for "hate it."

ANDERSON: There`s big Bieber news breaking today. Fans are upset and outraged today at Justin Bieber for his brand-new controversial performance.

And that`s not all. People all over the world are shocked over what the Bieb did to his hair. And we`re going to show you. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

HAMMER: That`s pretty rad. Now, it`s time for the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

HAMMER: Did you see this? Justin Bieber`s "X Factor" extravaganza. Bieber really got the crowd going on Britain`s hit talent show, the Bieb`s live performance. Even "X Factor`s" Simon Cowell was on his feet for a standing O.

But I`m here to tell you there is big Bieber backlash today, yes, after Bieber`s high-energy performance. A lot of Bieber`s fans took to Twitter to slam him. They claim he was miming, as they put it, his performance.

Now, "miming," in U.K. speak, is what we call lip-synching. Now, I don`t know if at the show Bieber was lip-synching, but I can tell you, Brooke, this is not the only big Bieber controversy today. Justin Bieber`s hair making huge news today. This kid`s hair is so famous I`m wondering if it has its own publicist or something.

ANDERSON: Yes, A.J. I think his hair actually does need a publicist because so many people keep talking about it. And after what Bieber just did to it, people are talking even more. Justin has cut his famous hair.

Take a look at Justin before he trimmed his famous trusses. And now, here`s your very first look at Bieber`s brand-new haircut. A.J., can you see a difference?

HAMMER: You know, I`m looking at that right now. I`ll tell you what I can tell - the difference is the fact that I can see more definition to the eyebrows. You can kind of make out the eyebrows more. I think what will get people talking, Brooke, is if he got his hair cut and had it cut like the Rachel.

ANDERSON: Oh, the Rachel. That would get a lot of buzz. And you know, there have been a lot of comparisons made to NFL star Tom Brady. But now, that no longer applies because Tom Brady is going mountain man all the way. But Justin Bieber cleaning it up a little bit. I like the new style.

OK. Here`s a story for the ladies and for the fellows out there who would like their ladies to look like a princess. Kate Middleton created a fashion frenzy when she stepped out on the arm of fiance Prince William in this absolutely gorgeous blue Issa dress.

Well, Kate`s choice made Issa a household name all over the world. And now, you, too, can rock Kate`s frock. Sort of. There`s a waitlist here in the U.S. for orders and Kate`s dress sold out in stores all over England.

HAMMER: This just in - the stunning final results in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll today, the first Monday in a long time we`re not going to be talking about Bristol Palin`s performance on "Dancing with the Stars."

So here`s what we had to ask, "Bristol Palin: What should she do next?" Fifty-eight percent think Bristol should go to college. Thirty- nine percent said Bristol should get out of the spotlight. Look at this - only three percent of you think Bristol should do a reality TV show.

Off to the SHOWBIZ Facebook page. Melanie B. writing this, "I think Bristol should did what makes her happy and how about we leave the poor girl alone?"

Mandy says, "Bristol should go to college and stay as far from the spotlight as she can."

Claudine thinks Bristol should "move to Hollywood because the cameras love her."

Well, that is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thanks for watching. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday.

HAMMER: And we`re still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
