(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Hi, there. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - the supersized supermodel breastfeeding backlash. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT brought you the news of the incredible demand by supermodel Gisele Bundchen that there should be a worldwide law - yes, law - forcing women to breastfeed.

Well, today, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was racing around the clock just to keep up with the absolute outrage over what Gisele said as it seemed everyone was debating what we first asked. Gisele, how could you?

Well, Gisele may have heard us because, today, there is a dramatic about-face from her in the breastfeeding comment heard around the world.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice-over): Supermodel and new mom Gisele Bundchen is learning a painful lesson today. Modeling push-up bras doesn`t make you an expert in breastfeeding. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you Gisele`s call for a mandatory worldwide breastfeeding law - yes, law - has her eating crow today.

SHERRI SHEPHERD, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I take offense to that statement, Gisele.

ANDERSON: And to say "View" host, Sherri Shepherd, was offended, might even be an understatement. Sherri went after Gisele big time on "The View" this morning.

SHEPHERD: My son was born prematurely, weighing a pound and 10 ounces. I wanted to breastfeed. I could not produce enough milk. I had to give him formula. For you to sit up there and say that I am less of a mother because I choose not to breastfeed and I was doing this to save his life and give him formula, I resent that.

ANDERSON: OK. Getting slammed by the super-opinionated host of "The View" is one thing. But SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you even traditionally impartial network news reporters had a go at Gisele today.

ANDREA CANNING, ABC NEWS CORRESPONDENT: Maybe we should just call her super-mom and not supermodel.

ANDERSON: While reporting on the Gisele controversy for "Good Morning America," ABC News correspondent and mother of two, Andrea Canning, says that she took Gisele`s breastfeeding comments personally.

CANNING: I literally just stopped breastfeeding, and I did not come close to reaching the six-month mark. It`s just so hard with this job, traveling. And I`ve got to say, I don`t really need Gisele making me feel any worse about it, to be honest.

ANDERSON: Gisele`s bizarre comment came in a brand-new interview in "Harper`s Bazaar`s" U.K. edition. Gisele, the mother of a baby boy with her husband, NFL quarterback Tom Brady, said, quote, "I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months. Some people here think they don`t have to breastfeed, and I think, `Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?`"

While Gisele called for a worldwide law for breastfeeding, for some reason we can`t see the United Nations passing any binding resolutions on that one.

DAPHNE BROGDON, TV HOST, "COOLMOM.COM": I think breastfeeding should be mandated by law. I also think that it should be law that you can`t date a guy whose ex-girlfriend is carrying his baby.

ANDERSON: Gisele`s comments made worldwide headlines. Gisele`s breastfeeding backlash then also spread to the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook page. Tania C. tells us, quote, "Gisele should shut her mouth. One baby, and all of a sudden she`s the queen mother?"

And Alexandra T. writes, quote, "Gisele, honey, the hormones are going to your head and making you say idiotic things. Quit while you`re not ahead, please."

But Gisele supporters like Michelle M. write, quote, "I think she meant well. I am sure she meant that it was a beautiful experience and would be hopeful all mothers could feel her joy and connection."

Today, the outrage has Gisele backtracking. She writes on her blog, quote, "My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law. It comes from my passion and beliefs about children."

She goes on to say, "It`s unfortunate that in an interview sometimes things can seem so black and white." And she finishes, quote, "I think, as mothers, we are all just trying our best."

BROGDON: I think the outrage is a little ridiculous, and everybody should just get their breasts back in the bra and relax.

ANDERSON: "CoolMom.com`s" Daphne Brogdon tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, people might be making too much of Gisele`s comments.

BROGDON: People are entitled to their opinions, and people use exaggerations to make a point. So I think they just need to calm down.

ANDERSON: But for now, it looks like Gisele should just stick to modeling and stay out of matters of motherhood and international law.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

OK. Gisele`s international breastfeeding backlash incident brings us to our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - did Gisele really need to apologize?

Right now, in Hollywood, Wendy Walsh, who is a spokesperson for "BestForBabes.org." Also in Hollywood is Shannon Fox. She`s an author and a psychotherapist.

Ladies, as all three of us can attest, life is hard enough for new moms. I mean, it`s a wonderful time, but it`s very challenging. We can all vouch for that.

Then we`ve got Gisele Bundchen saying that some mothers aren`t doing it right. Wendy, to our Showbiz Flashpoint, did Gisele need to apologize?

WENDY WALSH, SPOKESPERSON, "BESTFORBABES.ORG": No, she doesn`t need to apologize. This woman is my hero today because she was on the right track that we need some legal intervention in the war on breastfeed, but that legal intervention shouldn`t be against mothers.

It should be about - on corporations and governments. I think what should be international law is the World Health Organization`s breastfeeding code that makes formula manufacturers come clean and not tell lies, that puts pressure on governments to make it easier for women paying them to stay home and breastfeed.

Did you know in Canada you get paid 55 percent of your salary by the government just for staying home to breastfeed? And your company coughs in more so that they save in health care costs. We would save thousands of babies and billions of dollars if life were easier for women and this wasn`t a war against mommies?

ANDERSON: Absolutely. And I totally agree with that but I think we`re getting a little bit off track. Shannon, I want to go to you now. Did Gisele need to apologize for what she said? Because we are all breastfeeding advocates, you, Wendy, me. But it was preposterous, what she said.

SHANNON FOX, AUTHOR AND PSYCHOTHERAPIST: It was obnoxious. What she said was obnoxious, because mothers are under enough pressure as it is. No mother needs to hear that she`s doing something wrong. Women come in my office all the time feeling inadequate if, for some reason, they can`t breastfeed or they choose not to.

I think we can`t avoid the fact that she said it shouldn`t be a mother`s choice whether or not they breastfeed. It should be mandated, and that`s just ridiculous.

ANDERSON: Yes, absolutely. You know -

(CROSSTALK)

WALSH: Some mothers really don`t have a choice.

ANDERSON: Go ahead, Wendy.

WALSH: Shannon, Shannon, some mothers don`t have a choice when their culture fills them with booby traps, barriers against nursing. And the laws shouldn`t be against mothers. Don`t get me wrong.

The laws should be against formula companies that lie, governments, corporations, the culture as a whole that makes it hard for women to nurse their babies.

It needs to be international law because we need to save babies` lives. And we need to feed our kids. We need to reduce our breast cancer rates. We need to raise our IQ and immunities and save on health care. And that`s what breastfeeding does.

FOX: Right -

WALSH: But we need to make it easier for moms.

FOX: But Wendy, are the police going to come to people`s homes and make sure that when they`re getting paid to stay home to breastfeed their babies, they`re actually not sneaking chemical formulas into their mouths? I mean -

(CROSSTALK)

WALSH: No. They`re going to make the formula companies don`t tell lies. They`re going to make sure that the formula companies are honest. They`re going to put a muzzle on them when they try to claim that formula is as good.

(CROSSTALK)

A woman doesn`t own her own body if her brain is being fed trash.

ANDERSON: Sometimes there are complications. And we know this. Sometimes there are complications, physical and otherwise, as to why a mother is prevented from breastfeeding.

And also all moms don`t have the time that Gisele may have to devote to breastfeeding. Some mothers have to go back to work immediately -

WALSH: And that`s why (INAUDIBLE).

ANDERSON: After giving birth to their baby. And then they`re not allowed time to use the breast pump and they can`t keep their milk supply up. And I don`t want to get too technical here. But -

(CROSSTALK)

WALSH: You`re talking about the barriers that I`m saying we need make illegal. We need to make those barriers illegal. We need to get rid of the booby traps in our culture. And we need to band together as women and say, "OK, stop it guys," that are running corporations.

(CROSSTALK)

ANDERSON: Sherri Shepherd (INAUDIBLE) that her child was premature and wasn`t even able to breastfeed from the beginning.

WALSH: And that`s why -

ANDERSON: So there are some cases where, barriers or not, it`s impossible.

WALSH: And that`s why hospitals have human breast milk banks now. Women can donate breast milk. Can you imagine if you can make money selling your breast milk? Women can be at home.

The dairy queens of us in our culture could be selling a bottle as they feed a bottle their baby? Wouldn`t that be great? Body builders would love the stuff. It`s a perfect human protein.

ANDERSON: All right. You know, I`ve got to say this. I`m guessing why part of the reason that people are so angry is because Gisele is a supermodel and she`s got the money. She`s got the resources. She`s got the time.

And she was on the cover of "Vogue" recently showing off yoga poses in the magazine just months after she had her baby, again, not winning a lot of fans in the mommy set.

So Shannon, I`m getting the sense that some are outraged because Gisele is rich, beautiful, married to a hot NFL superstar, you know. And here`s another reason why moms can feel inadequate.

FOX: Well, we`re no strangers to feeling inadequate in the face of Gisele. Gisele`s body has made us feel inadequate for years and years.

And now, she`s telling us we should feel inadequate if we can`t have - you know, if we can`t nurse our babies. So yes, her life is much different than the single mother who has to work 50 hours a week that can`t just make $1 million taking pictures for two hours a week and then get back to her baby. So Gisele is not the voice of all women.

ANDERSON: Right. It was super-insensitive.

WALSH: But Shannon - Shannon, don`t blame Gisele.

(CROSSTALK)

ANDERSON: For one, I am glad she apologized. We do have to cut it off there. Ladies, we will continue this conversation probably in the makeup room or elsewhere. Wendy Walsh, Shannon Fox, thanks.

Moving on now - they said it wouldn`t last, and it didn`t. Bristol Palin kicks Levi Johnston to the curb again. Everybody`s talking about Bristol`s big break-up today, but only SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask is this latest split just a publicity stunt?

Jennifer and Jennifer dramatic transformations. Jennifer Aniston as Barbara Streisand. And new video of the super-slim Jennifer Hudson. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT reveals Jennifer and Jennifer`s amazing makeovers.

Hey, the ladies of "The View" were not having any nonsense or drama today. They shut down, not one, but two controversial reality TV stars. Bachelor Jake Pavelka and White House party crasher and housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JOY BEHAR, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": You crashed the Congressional Black Caucus State Dinner?

MICHAELE SALAHI, ALLEGED WHITE HOUSE PARTY CRASHER: No, I didn`t.

BEHAR: You didn`t? So people were just hallucinating when they saw you?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: This is going to be good. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Naomi Campbell begins "blood diamond" testimony at war crimes tribunal. Lady Gaga name to "Vanity Fair`s" international best dressed list.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEPHERD: I just have to say we talked about it. I think you going there and getting that close to the president, you guys should be in jail.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: It`s a reality show smackdown. The ladies of "The View" went wild today in an all-out war against White House party crasher, Michaele Salahi. And she`s not the only reality star today who got a smackdown from the ladies.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood.

And I can tell you the ladies of "The View" delighted today in smacking around two major reality show stars. And they didn`t hold back one bit. It was a one-two punch today.

First, "Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka - bam! And then White House party crasher Michaele Salahi - bam!

Joining me right now in Hollywood, Carlos Diaz, who is a syndicated radio show host. Did you like that?

CARLOS DIAZ, SYNDICATED RADIO SHOW HOST: Bam! Bam!

ANDERSON: Yes. Anyway, I`m getting the ring next time. I want to start, Carlos, with Jake Pavelka. They gave "The Bachelor" star a real run for his money.

First, Elisabeth grilled Jake on whether or not he was gay. He says he`s not. Then, Whoopi Goldberg attacked over his real intentions for going on "The Bachelor."

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GOLDBERG: The person that you seem to be right now doesn`t seem like someone who would have done "The Bachelor."

JAKE PAVELKA, REALITY TV STAR, "THE BACHELOR": I did it for love.

GOLDBERG: You did it for love?

PAVELKA: I really did. I really did it for love.

(CROSSTALK)

GOLDBERG: Who were you in love with?

PAVELKA: When I got down on one knee, I meant it.

GOLDBERG: But what made you take the gig, "The Bachelor," anyway?

PAVELKA: to find love. I still believe - Ali found love. I still believe you can find love on that show.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Carlos, what do you think? Is he full of it?

DIAZ: OK. He`s full of it. I`m sorry. I`ve had three encounters with Jake, two on camera and one totally off camera, OK? Jake, you`re full of it. I`m sorry. You really are, because you say you don`t want to the publicity. You just want to be a pilot.

You go on "Dancing with the Stars." You were a terrible actor on "Drop Dead Diva." We saw a clip on "The View" today. You`re terrible. You`re not a good actor. Just go back to being a pilot.

You say you wanted to go on "The View" - you wanted to go on "The Bachelor" for love. Everyone in the country knew that Vienna was wrong for you. You did that for publicity.

Everyone knew she was wrong for you. And then, god forbid, you kind of showed your true colors in that special.

ANDERSON: Oh, didn`t he?

DIAZ: Did he turn you off?

ANDERSON: Oh, my - majorly.

DIAZ: Yes. So I mean every woman in America is not so much anymore into you, Jake. Go back to being a pilot. Get out of the spotlight. We`re tired of you. Move on.

ANDERSON: Well, they really roughed him up on "The View" today as you did, too, here on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

DIAZ: Sorry.

ANDERSON: But I will say this - Jake, "The Bachelor" got off pretty easy compared to what happened next to the White House party crasher, Michaele Salahi. She was on "The View" with the rest of her cast mates from "The Real Housewives of D.C."

But Sherri Shepherd and HLN`s Joy Behar saved their wrath for Michaele specifically. Here`s a little taste of how she got reamed.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEPHERD: I just have to say we talked about it. I think you going there and getting that close to the president, you guys should be in jail. Because to do something like that -

(APPLAUSE)

(CROSSTALK)

BEHAR: Was there a written invitation that you got?

SALAHI: There is an invitation. And when you read the book, you`ll hear the whole story.

SHEPHERD: You have to buy the book to get the whole story?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Oh, I don`t want to buy the book.

BEHAR: You crashed the Congressional black caucus state dinner.

SALAHI: No, we didn`t.

BEHAR: You didn`t. So people were just hallucinating when they saw you?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: OK. Carlos, did they come down a little hard on Michaele or did she deserve everything she got?

DIAZ: I think Joy and Sherri were awesome this morning. She does deserve everything she got. But let me ask you this. What`s the big deal?

OK. Let`s put this together. She got close to the president. She was not a threat to the president. So what she`s done is she`s upped security three, four-fold at the White House now. She did a service to show America -

ANDERSON: But heads rolled. There was an internal investigation. It was horrible.

DIAZ: Exactly. But there needed to be. So what she`s done is made the president safer by what she did.

ANDERSON: That`s a good point, because luckily, that security breach did not put the president in danger.

DIAZ: Right. Yes.

ANDERSON: Yes, I agree. Do you think that she might be gearing up - Michaele Salahi - to become the most despised celebrity out there, next to Heidi Montag, of course, Carlos?

DIAZ: Exactly. But celebrity - is she a celebrity? Because really, she -

ANDERSON: She thinks she is.

DIAZ: She thinks she is. And the way that - and she tried to handle them the best way she could by saying, "You`re trying to make me the enemy here." She did what she could, but yes, she`s becoming hated. But the celebrity part I`m not buying.

ANDERSON: And "buy the book" is not the answer Joy nor Sherri wanted.

DIAZ: Not at all.

ANDERSON: All right. Carlos Diaz, thank you so much. Hey, there`s startling new Sandra Bullock development making big news today. She got an Oscar and she got rid of that no-good cheating Jesse James, right?

Well, now the remarkable news about how rich Sandra really is. The incredible new reports today that Sandra might be the richest actress in Hollywood.

Everybody is buzzing about Bristol and Levi`s new breakup drama. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT dares to ask, is their split really just one big old publicity stunt?

And Hoff on the hot seat. David Hasselhoff doesn`t get roasted by his peers. The Hoff gets grilled.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JERRY SPRINGER, COMEDIAN: Did you and Pam? I tell you what - if you did, smile.

DAVID HASSELHOFF, ACTOR: Kit(ph), get me out of here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Oh, boy. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

And now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Reality TV show host category eliminated from primetime Emmy telecast. Mary-Kate Olsen says she would not want anyone to be raised like she was.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Bad news for fans of "Modern Family." ABC wants you to watch the show the old-fashioned way. There are brand-new reports today that the brass at ABC want to make it harder for you to watch the show by keeping it off the Internet.

The issue here is that all the people watching online don`t get counted by the Nielsen rating systems. Well, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT got to see a whole lot of "Modern Family." We`re so lucky we were right there as the cast prepare to rehearse for the new season. And you know we asked the stars about their incredible 14 Emmy nominations.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: With the characters of Mitch and Cam, we get to do that. We get to open people`s minds and let them see that the couple - just come behind me. Oh - you know, we get to open people`s minds and educate people. And that`s awesome.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Eric called me. He`s one of the first people I talked to. And he was -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He always says I cried. And you started crying.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We both cried.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We both cried. I would agree to that. But you said in places that I started crying. We started crying together.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: But Eric was like, "It`s so validating," that, you know, this couple has been -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Looking in their eyes together.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Excuse me -

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: That was very sweet, but we both were crying. But he started it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Amazing. Amazing, because we had such a great year. We were having so much fun filming that on top of that to be, you know, like appreciated that much. It`s fantastic. I never dreamed in my whole life that I was going to be nominated to an Emmy and sounding like this.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I know most people wear black tuxedos to the Emmys. But I`m going to wear a black tuxedo to the Emmys.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Do you have a date yet?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: My girlfriend and my mom are going with me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And who else?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I`m going to let people decide who`s who.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: But we`ll see, because you know SHOWBIZ TONIGHT will be right there for the primetime Emmy Awards August 29th. That`s a great show, one of my favorite shows on TV.

Hey, there`s growing outrage today, a big debate on the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook wall. And it`s all about Charlie Sheen.

So many SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Facebook fans just cannot believe Charlie is walking away virtually a free man after pleading guilty to assaulting his wife.

Pamela B. says she`s done with Charlie, "It is evident that he thinks he`s above the law. Grow up, Charlie Sheen. Set an example for your children."

Tina C. says that what happened with Charlie Sheen is just another example of star preferential treatment, "Money gets you justice."

And now we`ve got the SHOWBIZ lineup - here`s what`s coming up on the bottom of the hour on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

Two Jennifers, two amazing makeovers today. Jennifer Aniston as Barbra Streisand. Funny girl Jen transforms into "Funny Girl" star Babs.

And super slim Jennifer Hudson shows off. The brand-new video just released of J-Hud`s dramatic photo shoot. Jennifer looks hot.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

TEXT: Jeff Goldblum is leaving USA Network`s "Law and Order: Criminal Intent." Katy Perry tells "Rolling Stone" magazine sex and spirituality don`t mix.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Now, on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Bristol and Levi split again. True heartbreak or a bunch of bull? It`s the SHOWBIZ Flashpoint today - Bristol and Levi`s new breakup - is it one big publicity stunt?

Two Jennifers` two amazing makeovers today. Jennifer Aniston`s remarkable transformation into Barbra Streisand. Jennifer Hudson reveals her stunning weight loss. Two Jennifer makeovers that will blow your mind.

Hoff on the hot seat. Did David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson ever get down and dirty on "Baywatch?"

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SPRINGER: Did you and Pam? I tell you what - if you did, smile.

HASSELHOFF: Kit(ph), get me out of here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Oh, the Hoff gets roasted.

Plus, breaking today from the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - is Carol Burnett coming to "Glee"? And Barbra Streisand`s unbelievable new honor.

ANNOUNCER: TV`s most provocative entertainment news show continues right now.

(MUSIC PLAYING)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood with big news breaking today - split or stunt?

Bristol Palin calls it quits again with Levi Johnston, and she`s broadcasting her break-up news the same way she first broadcast their engagement news - by opening up in a celebrity magazine.

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT obtained today Bristol`s dramatic confessions to "People" magazine about her relationship with Levi, how it went south the exact same day she and Levi announced they were engaged again. Are you following me?

With me, right now in Hollywood, Midwin Charles, who is a legal contributor with "In Session" on Tru TV. Also in Hollywood, Carlos Diaz, who is a syndicated radio host.

All right. In Bristol`s interview with "People" magazine, she confirmed that Levi told her, yes, he may have fathered a baby with another teenage girl. But it seems to me that whenever these two have something to reveal, they go to celebrity magazines.

Now, they reportedly had been talking about doing a reality show. And we know that Levi craves publicity and fame. So here`s our SHOWBIZ Flashpoint - Bristol and Levi`s new breakup - is it a publicity stunt? Carlos, what do you think?

DIAZ: I don`t care enough for it to be a publicity stunt. I really don`t (INAUDIBLE).

(CROSSTALK)

I love how she accuses him. You know, Bristol accuses Levi of being a fame whore or whatever. And then, she`s the one who called, not only people, but TMZ as well. So she`s the one - whenever I break up with a girl, the first thing I do is call "People."

ANDERSON: That`s right. It`s natural.

DIAZ: Yes, exactly. But the thing is, if she`s accusing him of being stuck on fame, why is she the one calling the major magazines? And I don`t think it`s a publicity stunt because of the fact that, A, it`s too much white trash.

If it - if you`re going to do a reality show - if you`re going to do a reality show, then it has to be - like it has to be the two of them getting together, not breaking up yet again.

MIDWIN CHARLES, LEGAL CONTRIBUTOR, "IN SESSION" ON TRU TV: Oh, lord.

ANDERSON: We cannot even hold back the laughter on that one. Carlos went there. Midwin, do you think Bristol is being hypocritical here? And do you think it`s a publicity stunt?

CHARLES: Look, neither Bristol nor Levi has ever met a camera that they didn`t like. OK, let`s face it. The two of them are media whores. However, I think we ought to keep in mind they`re still teenagers. They`re young people.

ANDERSON: Yes.

CHARLES: I mean, I think for most young people, relationships last, what, three days. And then, they`re on to the next, on to the next, as the song goes. So I wouldn`t put it past that. At the end of the day, what is really at the forefront of this is that they`re young people. And yes, one did say that perhaps they should mature because they now have a child -

ANDERSON: They`re young. And Bristol`s young, naive, and he`s the father of her baby. Yes, they have a child together. But, I`ve got to say this -

CHARLES: Correct.

ANDERSON: Apparently, Levi`s baby drama wasn`t the straw that broke Bristol`s back, because in the brand-new interview that "People" revealed today, she says, "The final straw was him flying to Hollywood what for he told me was to see some hunting show, but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family. He`s just obsessed with the limelight and I got played."

Bristol says she got played. But let`s not forget, she and Levi, as we`ve said, reportedly were shopping a reality show before this breakup. So Carlos, I don`t know. Would it be a travesty if there was a reality show? And are we all getting played?

DIAZ: We`re not getting played. The easiest thing for Bristol to do is go out of the spotlight because you live in Alaska. It`s not that difficult to lose the spotlight. You live in the middle of nowhere.

We`ll stop caring about you if you stop calling "People," all right? In fact, I`m going to start it. Let`s move onto the next topic, all right?

ANDERSON: We can`t do that -

DIAZ: OK.

ANDERSON: Because I`ve got to say I think it`s a little odd that Bristol is choosing to reveal her personal problems through magazines. And the ladies of "The View" were right there with me this morning when they talked about Bristol and Levi`s drama. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SHEPHERD: When you put yourself out there, especially as young as Bristol is, you know, you`re going to get this don`t talk - I mean I don`t know why she`s talking to magazines and telling them exactly how she feels right when it happened. That might not be such a good idea.

(CROSSTALK)

ELISABETH HASSELBECK, CO-HOST, "THE VIEW": I don`t think it`s easy to have a baby and figure stuff out. I can only imagine at that age.

So I think when the guy who is the father of your child comes back and he wants to work it out, of course, you may have this hopefulness that it could happen.

I think when he came to her and said, "Hey, want to get together? And by the way, there might be a reality show that might want to work with us and follow us on this journey together."

(CROSSTALK)

HASSELBECK: It might have been (INAUDIBLE) to her.

BEHAR: He`s hoping Sarah doesn`t shoot him from a helicopter, that`s all I can say.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Midwin, what do you think? Is Bristol, in a way, just an innocent bystander in all of this mess?

CHARLES: Absolutely not. Look, this young woman does have her wits about her, OK? I`m not one to say that she`s not particularly on the same page and understanding what`s going on.

She understands media. She sees what it has done for her mother. Remember, their lives have changed dramatically the minute that she took that campaign trail and she sees that. She sees what the media can do for the pockets, OK?

ANDERSON: OK.

CHARLES: And so I think, however, she is still probably in love with Levi, because, again, she`s still a young woman. I mean she is. She`s still a young woman.

(CROSSTALK)

ANDERSON: I have to say about this reported reality show - if Levi Johnston does a reality, the guy needs some media training, because watching that guy talk or be on TV is like watching paint dry. It is like taking a sleeping pill.

CHARLES: Yes.

ANDERSON: So anyway, I will move on now, because we want to hear from you about it. It is our exclusive SHOWBIZ TONIGHT poll - "Bristol and Levi Break Up: Do you think it`s a giant publicity stunt?" Keep voting, CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

And Carlos, Bristol and Levi, not the only news making for big buzz today. I know you`re relieved. Check this out.

There is big news today about the blockbuster "Twilight" movies. And there`s a startling revelation today about Sandra Bullock`s big bucks. And did Sylvester Stallone really tell SHOWBIZ TONIGHT he`s scared of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger? All in "The Buzz" today.

(voice-over): Sly scared of Schwarzenegger? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT was right there at the Hollywood premier of Stallone`s new movie, "The Expendables."

Sly directed a huge cast of `80s action stars including cameos by Bruce Willis and now-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sly reveals tonight that Arnold intimidated him.

SYLVESTER STALLONE, ACTOR: Now, he`s a governor. It`s like, what are you going to tell him? You say, hey, hey, do it my way. Are you going to give him a line reading?

ANDERSON: "Twilight" secrets revealed. We are just learning that the last movie in the "Twilight" franchise will come out November 2012. "Breaking Dawn Part 2" will hit theaters almost exactly one year after Part I releases in November 2011.

Bullock`s big bucks. "Forbes" magazine has just put Sandra Bullock at the top of its brand-new list of Hollywood`s highest-paid actresses. "Forbes" reveals that Sandra made $56 million from June 2009 to June 2010, thanks in part to her two hit movies "The Proposal" and "The Blind Side."

Number two on the big bucks list, Reese Witherspoon, followed by Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: All right. Not too shabby for Sandra Bullock, $56-million woman. She beat out Jennifer Aniston who came in fourth earning $27 million.

And I`ve got to say, Carlos, have you seen Jennifer Aniston on Sunset Boulevard splashed all over billboards if not for a movie - all of her buzz lines - if not for a movie, for her Smart Water campaign. Here she is, fourth on the list. So do you think her star power is slipping?

DIAZ: I don`t know if it`s her star power slipping, but I just want to see something different. I`m tired of the romantic comedies that she`s doing.

I mean, oh, she`s pregnant. She`s fighting with a job. She`s fighting with her boyfriend. Oh, she`s - it`s all the same movie over and over again. I`ve seen it before. I`ve seen it again.

ANDERSON: So she`s been typecast.

DIAZ: Pick up a gun. Pick up a gun and do an action flick. Do, God forbid, an Angelina Jolie-like movie, you know. Do something where it`s different than what we`ve seen you in before. You`re beautiful. You`re talented. We all love you, Jennifer, but give us something different.

ANDERSON: Give Angelina a run for her money. I think a lot of Aniston fans would love to see that.

DIAZ: That would be awesome.

ANDERSON: Carlos Diaz, Midwin Charles, thanks, guys. Good to see you.

ANDERSON: Jennifer Aniston`s amazing makeover revealed today. Believe it or not, you are looking at Jennifer Aniston posing as the amazing Barbra Streisand. If you ask me, her new look is like butter.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood and it wasn`t just Jennifer Aniston`s amazing makeover revealed. Wait until you see Jennifer Hudson, too.

First, take a look at Jennifer Aniston`s unbelievable transformation into her idol, Barbra Streisand. It was for a "Harper`s Bazaar" cover photo shoot. And today, we got the very first pictures.

And then there`s the other Jennifer. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT obtained today the very first look at Jennifer Hudson`s makeover featured on the cover of the new issue of "In Style" showing off her astonishing weight loss going from a size 16 to a six.

With me right now in Hollywood is TV host and author, Wendy Walsh. And in New York, entertainment journalist, Katrina Szish.

Wow, what a year Jennifer Hudson has had. She`s had a baby, worked on a new album, planned a wedding and dropped five dress sizes.

Take a look at these brand-new pictures out today -looking incredible. Hudson tells "In Style" that she`s very happy at the weight she is now, "I don`t want to lose any more weight and you`re never going to see me skinny. I think this is a good natural size for me."

Wendy, if you were like me, I am sick of Hollywood`s obsession with being super skinny? Don`t you love this? She`s trimmed down but healthy, not to the point of looking like an emaciated stick and she`s comfortable with that.

WALSH: And I think, Brooke, it came from motherhood. Nothing is going to make you feel more confident and sexy and beautiful than being empowered through motherhood.

And look, this woman has gone through some terrible tragedies in recent years and recovered from, in my opinion, post-traumatic stress disorder and had a baby. And I just think that this is a wonderful celebration of it. And I love the new Jennifer.

ANDERSON: And she`s being strong. She`s being confident. She`s really bounced back in an impressive way. So you would think that everybody would be cheering Jennifer on, right?

Well, I`m sorry to say that is not the case. Jennifer says that she has gotten some heat from people who liked her better when she was heavier.

She tells "In Style," "I got fussed at. All the big girls were like, `Jennifer`s not in the big girls club anymore.` Yes, I am and I`m going to keep my curves. I love me. And as far as being confident, I was just as confident however many pounds ago, however many sizes ago as I am now."

Katrina, are you as surprised as I am that Jennifer was criticized for losing weight? It`s ridiculous?

KATRINA SZISH, ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST: You know, it is ridiculous but I we`ve got to say I`m not surprised at all. If you`re in Hollywood, if you`re in that spotlight, the second you do anything different for better or for worse, people are going to come after you. And usually, unfortunately, it`s in a negative way.

And I think it`s sort of ironic that the women who are criticizing Jennifer are the women who are saying that any woman of any size should be accepted in Hollywood. And unfortunately, they`re criticizing Jennifer now for being too thin. So they`re really - not really -

ANDERSON: Damned if you do -

SZISH: A little ironic there and it`s not fair. And I think she looks fantastic. Take the heat off of Jennifer. She looks amazing.

ANDERSON: Yes. Damned if you do, damned if you don`t. I think she`s an inspiration.

WALSH: Hey, Brooke -

ANDERSON: Go ahead, Wendy.

WALSH: Absolutely. She is, Brooke. I`ve got to say, though, what is the big girls` club, a way to rationalize unhealthy behavior? Obesity is killing millions of people in America. It`s a huge problem.

And so to try to create a positive identity and positive image around one segment of the population, those that are unhealthily overweight is not a good thing.

SZISH: But it`s also unhealthy to be too thin.

WALSH: So Jennifer (INAUDIBLE). Absolutely.

(CROSSTALK)

ANDERSON: And Jennifer is not trying to desert people who found common ground with her. She`s just being healthy. She`s just being confident. And she is still embracing her curves.

(CROSSTALK)

All right. I`ve got to move now from this Jennifer makeover to another Jennifer makeover. Today, we got the very first look at Jennifer Aniston channeling her icon, Barbra Streisand.

Look at this. Wow. Look at the resemblance. Aniston did it for "Harper`s Bazaar" magazine and says she wanted to recreate Streisand`s classic look because, quote, "Barbra and I are people who have been put in the spotlight, for better or for worse, and you just keep riding, and you just keep overcoming and you just stay true to what you love to do."

Wendy, it seems to me that maybe, just maybe, Jennifer is coming into grips with the crazy fame that really rules her life. And if she is, I say good for her.

WALSH: Yes, Brooke. I think she`s saying here that she`s been misunderstood, that, you know, just because she`s famous or beautiful doesn`t mean she doesn`t have troubles like everyone else.

Listen, none of us are getting out of here alive and life is not an easy road for anybody. And she has been criticized a lot. Barbra has gone through stuff. So now she`s making a little sorority between her and Barbra and other performing women who have had quite a life, quite a rollercoaster life in this business. And what a gorgeous shot, by the way.

ANDERSON: What a - I cannot believe the resemblance. And you know what? Aniston also reveals in this brand-new interview released today that it is her sense of humor that has gotten her through the good times and the bad times in her life.

"People laugh at me. Sometimes I know why and sometimes I don`t. But I can pretty much find humor in anything. That is a necessary part of life. I don`t want to say laughter is healing because it sounds corny but it`s a release."

It sounds to me that at 41, she`s gotten to the point where she could not care less of what people think of her. We`re going to leave it there for now. Wendy Walsh, Katrina Szish, thanks, ladies.

All right. Brand-new evidence that Lindsay Lohan`s career might actually be getting a boost from her jail drama. Yes. In a brand-new fashion campaign out today, Lindsay is transformed into a digital muse.

Designer Marc Ecko launched an interactive ad campaign today. It`s for his fall cut and sew fashion collection. In a behind-the-scenes video first posted on "People.com" today, Ecko says he handpicked Lindsay to appear in several online skits for his Web site because of her reputation as a bad girl.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

MARC ECKO, FASHION DESIGNER: I`ve always had this idea of musing on Lindsay Lohan. For me, I created this fantasy of this woman who`s so dangerous that if she were to be existing in real world, it would kill her kind of bombshell quality.

She`s a bit of a throwback, but she seemed dangerous to me. So a digital muse trapped in a digital prison. To muse me from a distance is how it came to this idea.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: The skit starring Lindsay as a digital muse will appear on "MarcEckoNews.com" later this month.

David Hasselhoff, definitely a comedian`s muse. Talk about material. There`s that drunken cheeseburger video, "Knight Rider" and who can forget "Baywatch"? But did he ever, you know, do it with Pamela Anderson?

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SPRINGER: Did you and Pam? I tell you what - if you did, smile.

HASSELHOFF: Kit(ph), get me out of here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Hoff on the hot seat. Brand-new video today as David Hasselhoff gets ripped to shreds at his own roast. This is SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on HLN news and views.

Now, the "SHOWBIZ News Ticker" - more stories from the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT newsroom making news today.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

SPRINGER: I mean, honestly, your whole life, you`ve never been in anything good, except Pamela Anderson.

ANDERSON: Oh, talk about brutal. Forget about the expression "Don`t hassle the Hoff." Jerry Springer and more of David Hasselhoff`s closest friends skewered him on "Comedy Central`s" brutal roast of David Hasselhoff.

You have to admit when it comes to the Hoff, there is no shortage of material. It`s David Hasselhoff slam fest 2010, or as "Comedy Central" put it, "The Roast of David Hasselhoff." And boy does he get cooked.

In the brand-new special, friendly foes tear into the Hoff and his work on shows like "Knight Rider" and "Baywatch." "Baywatch," of course, where he co-starred with Pamela Anderson. Watch as comedian Lisa Lampanelli and Jerry Springer absolutely destroy the Hoff right before his very eyes.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LISA LAMPANELLI: David Hasselhoff`s career has become such a huge disaster I just saw an oily pelican fly out of his ass. And you quit that cushy gig as a judge on "America`s Got Talent." What`s wrong with you, man? That was the worst career move since Mel Gibson bought his girlfriend that tape recorder.

SPRINGER: I mean, honestly, in your whole life you`ve never been in anything good, except Pamela Anderson. Did you and Pam?

HASSELHOFF: Ah -

SPRINGER: I tell you what, if you did smile.

HASSELHOFF: Kit(ph), get me out of here.

SPRINGER: Yes. When I grow up, I want to be you.

HASSELHOFF: Yes.

ANDERSON: Did you see the Hoff squirm? "The Roast of David Hasselhoff" premieres August 15th on "Comedy Central."

Hey, on Tuesday, we asked you to vote in our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT exclusive poll. And we got a record response when we asked this - "Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan: Who got off easier? A whopping 91 percent of you say Charlie. Only nine percent say Lindsay.

Yvonne from Texas writes, "Lilo got off a lot easier because it seems she doesn`t realize that what she did wrong. Yes, I know what Charlie did was very bad, but at least he admitted it to the courts."

Now, the "Showbiz on Call" phone lines have been flooded with tons of passionate calls on this. Chatauqua from Illinois says that Charlie Sheen`s sentence was hypocritical.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

CALLER: I think he got off way too easy. His situation happened right after Christmas and he was at (INAUDIBLE). He was still able to come back to work. Chris lost a lot of money. I just don`t understand it. I don`t get it. It`s hypocrisy.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

Thanks, Chatauqua. All right. That`s a wrap for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is now live at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday. And don`t forget we are still TV`s most provocative entertainment news show seven days a week at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
