THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

A.J. HAMMER, CO-HOST: Dramatic new video. Miley Cyrus targeted by the paparazzi. Are they putting her life in danger? I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.
BROOKE ANDERSON, CO-HOST: And a jury finally makes a ruling on what killed Anna Nicole Smith`s son Daniel. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the Brangelina wedding frenzy. Wedding bells for Brad and Angelina suddenly turn silent. Tonight, the crazy story that got out of control. But how did it get started and why is everyone so desperate for Brangelina to say "I do"? Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with the wedding that wasn`t.

Tonight, is Eliot Spitzer`s hooker going from the governor to "Us Weekly" to Donald Trump`s reality show? Are you kidding me?

Plus the Kim Kardashian sex tape.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KIM KARDASHIAN, STARLET: Of course, you`re ashamed that. I have little sisters that I have to answer to.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Are you kidding me? And Brad and Vince, Jake and Reese, is it ever OK to date your friend`s ex, or is that just plain wrong?

(MUSIC)

Hello. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: Hi, there, everyone. I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you from Hollywood. And tonight, the verdict is in on the mysterious death of Anna Nicole Smith`s son Daniel. Was it a drug overdose, will criminal charges be filed? The dramatic decision on Daniel`s death, coming up.

HAMMER: But first, the Brangelina wedding frenzy. Now, to say there is an obsession with the possibility of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie getting married, well, would be a huge understatement. And now, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can reveal the new story behind a new and almost unprecedented frenzy that had them married with children. But it turns out this was one wedding that wasn`t.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

(voice over): It would have been the biggest wedding ever. Rich and beautiful movie star, Angelina Jolie, and rich and beautiful movie star, Brad Pitt, finally tying the knot after four children, a fifth reportedly on the way, and three years of happily unwedded bliss.

KATIE DARYL, TMZ.TV: If Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie actually did get married, it would be the wedding of the century, hands down.

HAMMER: Bigger than Charles and Di. Bigger than Tom and Katie. Even bigger than Kermit and Miss Piggy. And this weekend, folks were asking the question -

DARYL: Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie - are they getting hitched?

HAMMER: "Star" magazine started all the questions on Saturday when its Web site reported that Pitt and Jolie got hitched earlier that day in their new home base of New Orleans.

And even though some celebrity Web sites greeted the news with some skepticism, there was no denying the online buzz the story created. But there is only one teensy problem with this wedding story - it wasn`t true.

The day after the reported nuptials, "People.com" quoted its own sources, saying there was no wedding. And a few hours later, "Star" reported, quote, "After further investigation, the sources aren`t standing by their story."

SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you ever since the two first hooked up in 2005, the celebrity world has been obsessed with the idea of a Jolie-Pitt wedding. This week`s "In Touch Weekly" has an entire cover story speculating what it would be like. TMZ`s Katie Daryl tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT such a wedding would mean big bucks.

DARYL: They could certainly make tons of cash off of wedding pictures.

HAMMER: Best of all, Brad and Angelina have already created their own little wedding party. But Pitt and Jolie have always had the same answer to the wedding question - don`t hold your breath.

DARYL: From the get-go Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie said they weren`t going to get married and that the only contingency of them getting married would be perhaps if same sex marriage was legalized in all of the United States.

HAMMER: That obviously hasn`t happened. And Angelina Jolie was even more blunt when Larry King asked her about it.

LARRY KING, HOST, "LARRY KING LIVE": Are you going to get married? It`s just interesting to know. I wish you lots of luck.

ANGELINA JOLIE, ACTRESS: No.

HAMMER: Once more for you folks in the back.

KING: Are you going to get married? It`s just interesting to know. I wish you lots of luck.

ANGELINA JOLIE, ACTRESS: No.

HAMMER: In fact, they`ve done everything but put up a sign saying they aren`t getting married. So SHOWBIZ TONIGHT will do it for them.

But no matter what they say, the Jolie-Pitt wedding talk will likely continue. And the way only way for them to stop it would be for them to make the rumors true. Don`t hold your breath.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

HAMMER: All right. So we`re not holding our breath. But I want to know why the obsession?

Joining me tonight from Hollywood, "Extra" correspondent Tanika Ray. Also in Hollywood tonight, Jane Velez-Mitchell, investigative journalist and author of "Secrets Can Be Murder."

So, let me tell you guys the way I feel about it. If they don`t want to get married, hey, good for them; that`s their prerogative, of course. That said, Jane, why is it that so many people are just fixated on the idea of these two locking it up? Is it a morality issue?

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: It is. They are the closest thing we have right now to the perfect couple. And their values epitomize what so many Americans crave in this crass, consumer culture of ours.

They seem to care about something beyond themselves. They want to make this world a better place. They are about giving and not just taking and we love all that. We have a yearning for all that. So in this sense, we idealize them.

And I think we`re living sort of vicariously through their altruism. We want to keep it for ourselves, that`s why we`d like to have them forever as a couple, even though obviously marriage does not anymore mean forever.

HAMMER: Well, and of course, a lot of people - there are certainly people and I`ve heard people say, "Well, you know, they do have all these kids together. It`s the right thing to do." Tanika, you`ve been covering them for years. What`s your take on this obsession?

TANIKA RAY, "EXTRA" CORRESPONDENT: Well, here`s the thing. America, let`s not be in denial. We`re not the puritanical society we once were. Look, we are all conditioned by that nursery rhyme we sang on the playground, "Brad and Angelina, kissing in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby and the baby carriage." We all want that fantasy to come true, in order.

But when it comes down to it, it really doesn`t matter. And they made that very clear. What I love about what they said was, "Look, it`s not about a piece of paper that`s going to keep us loyal to each other. We`re dedicated and officially connected to our children and that`s the most important thing."

People, everybody go up there and get your own lives, OK? I know we want our fantasy to come true. Just let them be a cute, adorable, beautiful family and adore them from a far. But the marriage thing is not important for them. And they`re not going to it for us just so that we`re satisfied.

And I do think we are a little obsessed just because we want to see little Prince Charming and Cinderella together. But they are, they`re fine and they`re solid and that`s all we really need to worry about.

HAMMER: And just for a lot of people, it`s just the ultimate pinnacle of the whole fantasy of them as the royal couple. As we said, one of the reasons that Brad has given as to why they aren`t hitched up yet is he`s not going to do it until everyone can straight and gay. And exactly what he told "Esquire," was quote, "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."

What do you think, Jane? Did Brad kind of box himself in when he said this? You know, if they do get married, are people going to keep throwing this in his face and calling him a hypocrite?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I think he`s going to stay true to his word, A.J. I don`t think he boxed himself in. I think he took a very important moral stance. And again, do you see how he`s elevating what could be a crass tabloid story and elevating it up to an issue of ideas? RAY: Love it.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: He`s really all about ideas.

RAY: But A.J., remember the, operative word was, "We`ll think about getting married".

HAMMER: Exactly right. So as long as they stick around until the time when that does come to past -

RAY: Exactly. There`s no box there.

HAMMER: No, I guess you`re right. So we`ll see what happens. Of course, they`ve been together for three years, which is almost hard to believe, raising a family and it does look like they`re doing a great job. So, Tanika, I get the sense you`re with me on this. Seeing how well it`s working for them, all the obsessed out there should kind of get off their backs?

RAY: It`s the obsessed and people who are really stuck on the traditions. We`ve seen time and time again, especially in modern age that a marriage certificate means really nothing these days. It means something to some people. But for the most part, if somebody`s going wayward and cheat and not be loyal, a piece of paper is not going to stop that from happening.

So I think when it comes down to it, it`s one soul and another. They are committed spiritually, and I think they`re a beautiful example of what society can be today. And look at Will and Jada - I always say this, that they have a non-traditional family which 65 percent of America has. So it really doesn`t matter if there`s a marriage certificate.

HAMMER: We should all be as happy as they appear to be.

RAY: Exactly.

HAMMER: Tanika Ray, Jane Velez-Mitchell, I thank you both.

RAY: Thank you.

HAMMER: I want you to know that you can now watch video reports from SHOWBIZ TONIGHT anytime on our Web site. New ones up all the time. That`s at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

And now I want to hear from you for our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "Brad and Angelina: Should they get married?" Let us know what you think. CNN.com/ShowbizTonight or e-mail us at showbiztonight@cnn.com.

Well, Brangelina have always had to deal with swarms of paparazzi but somebody new is on the scene - new target Miley Cyrus. Dramatic new video that proves the paparazzi are after Miley big-time. I think it`s pretty frightening. Are they putting her in danger? That`s coming up.

HAMMER: Also, could the hooker in the Spitzer scandal go from national headline to "Us Weekly" to a reality show with Donald Trump? Come on, are you kidding me? That is still ahead.

ANDERSON: And the Hollywood ex-files. Is it ever OK to date your friend`s ex like these couples or is it just plain wrong? Personally, I think it`s not the greatest idea. The heated debate straight ahead on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. You do not to miss it.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Absolute frenzy over the weekend as the paparazzi descend on their new proclaimed target, teenage phenomenon Miley Cyrus. Have they gone too far?

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. Tonight, target Miley. Good-bye, Britney; hello, Miley. The swarms that used to hound Britney Spears have now moved on to the 15-year-old "Hannah Montana" star in a big way.

Joining me from Miami, the Miami editor of "In Touch" magazine, Michael Cohen and here in Hollywood, CNN entertainment correspondent, Kareen Wynter. Kareen, Michael, I want you both to take a look at this. On the same weekend, Miley Cyrus won two big awards at the Nickelodeon Kids` Choice Awards - congratulations to her - she is literally swarmed.

And at one point she says, "I can`t see." There are dozens of guys surrounding her. Michael, the paparazzi claim, "Hey she`s fair game." What do you think?

MICHAEL COHEN, MIAMI EDITOR, "IN TOUCH" MAGAZINE: Oh my god. Are you kidding? I completely agree with them. Of course she`s fair game. I mean, she`s "Hannah Montana." She`s out everywhere. She`s a huge star and you know, her stepping out anywhere, she is fair game. She`s on the street. She`s a celebrity at 15 years old. And age doesn`t matter when it comes to that. So I`m with the paparazzi. And you know, she`s a good money-maker.

ANDERSON: She`s just 15. As you say, thought, how can that not matter and the proximity as well? They`re so aggressive, Michael. Do you never disagree with the tactics?

COHEN: Listen, you know who`s at fault here? It`s Miley and her security team. That girl needs as hard as security. She needs surrounded when she walks out and she`s not. I mean there are ways to keep the paparazzi off of you. And she`s not doing it on purpose. I mean a lot of stars are like that. But you know what? It`s her security at fault. She needs to be protected more.

ANDERSON: Always somebody else`s fault. Well, I`m not the only one who thinks that this is a bad idea. At the Kids` Choice Awards, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT caught up with singer Akon. And here`s what he had to say about it.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

AKON, R & B SINGER: I think it`s completely unfair. You shouldn`t expose kids to that early. But hopefully, the media will take consideration of the fact that she`s young. And I wouldn`t want her tarnished the rest of her life. You know what I mean?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Kareen, what do you think? Is Akon correct? You know, Miley seems fine now. But in the long run, I would have to imagine this might have some sort of effect on her.

KAREEN WYNTER, CNN ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT: Brooke, you know, I think Akon is right on it when he says, "Hey, there is some danger here." Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, need he say more? I mean if we go back five years, no one perhaps would have imagined it would have been -having experienced the problems that they have been recently - five years ago. And so you need some balance here.

It`s OK to be successful. It`s OK to be on top. It`s OK to have millions and millions of followers. But you have to reel that in. And that`s where responsible parenting really comes in. Her mom needs to step in and you really not just, you know, feed her to the beast.

ANDERSON: As we`ve mentioned, the paparazzi have made it clear that Miley is their new target. And what we saw happen happened at the Ivy. It`s a popular hang-out; stars go there to be seen.

Michael, do you think that could have been a message to Miley as in, "I`m not going to change my life to avoid the paparazzi. I`m going to live my life"? Was she thumbing her nose at her or was she reveling in the attention?

COHEN: Her message is, "Look at me, I`m fabulous. Look at me. Move over, Britney Spears."

ANDERSON: That simple, huh?

COHEN: Look at me. That`s what she`s saying. She`s not saying - thumbing nose, (UNINTELLIGIBLE) she has been thinking. She`s just thinking, "I want to be in the pages of these magazines." And so she got it.

ANDERSON: Kareen, ten seconds, do you agree that she is reveling in the attention in that way?

WYNTER: She really is. We`ve been to the Ivy, Brooke.

COHEN: Thank you.

WYNTER: You know, you go there to be seen. Overexposure - can be very dangerous. She needs to watch out.

ANDERSON: And Michael says thank you to Kareen. All right. We will leave it there.

COHEN: Yes, finally, somebody agrees with me.

ANDERSON: Michael Cohen, Kareen Wynter, thank you both for being with us.

A.J., we have another huge story to get to about Jamie Lynn Spears - 16, pregnant and now engaged. We want to know, do you think it`s a good idea for her to get married? We got an overwhelming and unbelievable response to this. You`ve got to see it, that`s next.

HAMMER: Plus, could the hooker in the Eliot Spitzer scandal go from national headlines to "Us Weekly" to a reality show with Donald Trump? I mean are you kidding me? We will also have this -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LARRY KING, HOST, "LARRY KING LIVE": And it was an intimate sex tape. Are you ashamed of that?

KARDASHIAN: Of course, you`re ashamed of that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: Yes, right. I have to tell you, Kim Kardashian, I`m not sure that I`m buying that. Let`s be honest. If that sex tape never happened, wouldn`t we even know the name Kim Kardashian? Is she really ashamed of it? Are you kidding me? That`s coming up.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, the unbelievable and overwhelming response SHOWBIZ TONIGHT got when we asked whether Britney Spears` pregnant 16-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn, should get married to the 18-year-old father of the baby.

Joining me once again, in Miami, editor of "In Touch Weekly," Michael Cohen and CNN entertainment correspondent, Kareen Wynter, joins us from here in Hollywood.

OK, guys, when we asked our viewers to respond to this, we really could never have imagined the overwhelming number of people who did weigh in. In our question, we asked this, "16 and pregnant: Should Jamie Lynn Spears get married?" Only 17 percent said yes. A whopping 83 percent said no. The question obviously struck a chord with people. Michael, are you surprised by the number of people that said no, they don`t want her to get married?

COHEN: Oh, absolutely not. Thank god for those viewers. I mean really - I mean that girl doesn`t even have a sweet 16 and the girl`s getting married. It`s the most pathetic thing I`ve heard. And you know what? I mean there`s only three choices for her. The big A - be single without - be just a mom and alone. Or get married and it`s a great publicity thing. The only thing she can do is get married and I disagree with that. I think it`s ridiculous.

WYNTER: Ouch!

ANDERSON: Kareen, what do you think? Are you surprised by the number of people who said they don`t want her to get married, like Michael?

WYNTER: Michael, oh, so harsh. You know, maybe I`m just - I don`t know - a free spirit here.

WYNTER: She just wanted herself -

COHEN: She`s 16.

WYNTER: She is, but look, Michael. Michael, she`s 16, a baby on the way and she`s Britney Spears` little sister. You know she`s going to be criticized no matter what she does.

COHEN: And I wouldn`t want to be her.

WYNTER: But what about the L word here. Let`s bring it in - love - if they`re in love. And you know, there`s nothing wrong with tying the knot if she finds this person compatible and someone she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Jamie Lynn, you go ahead and you do what`s best for you, little Jamie Lynn. You know, you may surprise the public at the end.

COHEN: You think at 16 she`s in love?

ANDERSON: It could be, Michael. She very well could be. Maybe I`m like Kareen. I`m a little bit old fashioned. I do believe in the institution of marriage. And when it lends itself, give it shot in a situation sometimes.

COHEN: Let`s talk next year and see if we`re again (UNINTELLIGIBLE).

ANDERSON: I know divorces happen and sometimes for legitimate reasons, of course.

WYNTER: I`m right there with you, Brooke.

ANDERSON: You disagree, obviously, Michael. Michael, you disagree and I want to read one of the E-mails that we did get from Mary from Ohio. She said, "She should get married. What a refreshing trend she could start in Hollywood by marrying the father of her baby."

But then, we have Linda from Colorado writing, "There is no reason for a 16-year-old to get married. We all know in a year or two, she will be heading to divorce court." Michael, you obviously agree with the latter, with Linda.

COHEN: Go, Linda. Of course. Mary from Ohio, step out of Ohio, hon, and go to Hollywood. That trend is silly. And honestly, for her career, I mean don`t know how many people want to hire an actress or singer, or whatever, with a baby at home and all the craziness. I mean she now comes with a lot of baggage, to be honest.

ANDERSON: You know, I`m going to have to step in. We`re out of time. But we do wish her Jamie Lynn, the unborn child, the very, very best. Michael Cohen of "In Touch" - we love you - CNN`s Kareen Wynter, thank you both. For the latest breaking Britney news and latest video, you can always go to the Britney Drama section of our Web site any time. You`ll find it at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

HAMMER: Speaking of drama, what could possibly be next for the hooker in the Eliot Spitzer scandal? You know she went from national headlines to "Us Weekly." Now Donald Trump wants her for a reality show. Are you kidding me? That is coming up.

ANDERSON: And Hollywood ex-files. Is it ever OK to date your friend`s ex, like these couples or is it just plain wrong. Personally, I don`t think it`s the best idea. The heated debate coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

HAMMER: I couldn`t believe this one. Heath Ledger may have fathered a child and I`m not talking about the daughter he has with Michelle Williams. A stunning report - you won`t want to miss it. Coming up next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Here are some more stories that are new right now. Well, a jury in the Bahamas has found that Anna Nicole Smith`s son died from an accidental drug overdose and recommends that no criminal charges be filed. An autopsy found that a combination of drugs, including methadone, and antidepressants was probably what killed 20-year-old Daniel Smith.

Heath Ledger may have fathered another child besides his daughter with Michelle Williams. Yes, an Australian newspaper is reporting one of Ledger`s estranged uncle says, when Ledger was 17, he dated a 25-year-old woman who found out she was pregnant after they broke up. She gave birth to a baby girl and the uncle says there is a possibility that Heath was the father.

And Denise Richards is speaking out about her new reality show. Her ex-husband Charlie Sheen fought in court to keep their kids out of the show, but lost. Now, Richards tells "People" Magazine, quote, "I`m in a no-win situation. If I don`t have my children in my show, then people will say, `Well, she`s really not a hands-on mom.` If I do have my children, people are saying that I`m exploiting them. And there`s plenty of reality shows with families where you don`t watch them - at least I never did - and think they really exploited their kids."

HAMMER: So could the hooker in the Eliot Spitzer scandal actually go from national headlines to "Us Weekly" to a reality show with Donald Trump? Are you kidding me? That is coming up. We will also have this -

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KING: It was an intimate sex tape, though, right. Are you ashamed of that?

KARDASHIAN: Of course you`re ashamed of that.

ANDERSON: I`m not sure that I`m buying that. If that sex tape never happened, would we even know the name Kim Kardashian? Is she really ashamed of it? Are you kidding me? That`s straight ahead.

HAMMER: And the Hollywood ex-files. Is it ever OK to date your friend`s ex like these couples or is it just plain wrong? The heated debate coming up on SHOWBIZ TONIGHT.

HAMMER: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, the stories that are so outrageous they`ve got me saying, are you kidding me? Is Donald Trump really about to hire former New York governor Eliot Spitzer`s hooker?

And get this, famous-for-nothing Kim Kardashian now says she`s ashamed for doing that sex tape. Kim, hello. If it weren`t for that tape, you know, you`d have no career. Are you kidding me?

The Hollywood ex-files. Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. Tonight, here`s what I want to know - is it ever OK to date your friend`s ex or is that a big no-no?

(MUSIC)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m A.J. Hammer, broadcasting tonight and every night from New York City.

ANDERSON: And I`m Brooke Anderson, coming to you tonight from Hollywood. This is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

HAMMER: Man, I hope you`re ready because tonight I have the outrageous stories out there that are making us say, are you kidding me? Donald Trump says he wants to send Eliot Spitzer call girl, Ashley Dupre, to charm school for his brand new reality show. Trump and Ashley, are you kidding me?

And reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, now speaking out about her sex tape, now saying she`s ashamed that the tape got out. Come on, Kim? Are you kidding me?

We have got an amazing fired-up panel tonight. Joining me from Hollywood, "Extra" correspondent, Tanika Ray. Also in Hollywood, Howard Bragman, the founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations. And Jane Velez- Mitchell, investigative journalist and author of "Secrets Can Be Murder."

All right, guys. This is pretty wild; not entirely surprising, however. Donald Trump telling SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that he thinks Ashley Dupre would be perfect for his upcoming reality show. It`s kind of like a modern-day "My Fair Lady," sending a professional call girl to charm school in a reality show. Tanika, are you kidding me?

RAY: It`s brilliant. Come on, A.J. This kind of takes a page out of Mo`Nique`s book when she did "Charm School - Flavor Flavs(ph)," girls who she wanted to give a little charm too. This is sort of the same premise.

But when it comes down to Ashley Dupre, I think it`s just exciting to hear her voice for the first time, how she thinks, if there`s a brain that operates that body. I`m excited to see that. And yes, it`s an "Are you kidding me?" But it`s so Trump-esque, I love it.

HAMMER: Yes, I think it`s truly unbelievable. Jane, I don`t know. What do you make of this?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, it`s a very neat trick being able to condemn things and act with a certain moral superiority while profiting from it at the very same time. Congratulations to The Donald for pulling that one off.

I have no problem with seeing Ashley Dupre. In fact, I`d be curious and I`m sure in the process of rehabilitating her, they`re probably going to have her hot oil wrestling in god-only-knows-what. The problem that I have is the attitude of, "I am the moral arbiter. I`m going scold this one, this beauty queen, for catching another girl."

But you know, being a prostitute, that`s OK. So it`s sort of arbitrary and capricious and all over the map. I say go ahead and do it but don`t do it with this sort of0 hue of moral superiority. That`s not fit -

RAY: No, no, no. Well, Trump has done that before and to profit off of it is very much the way he does things. He is the king of PR stunts. This is perfect. Right down his alley, people will watch it. Absolutely 100 percent Tivo across the board, so it`s a good publicity stunt. Whether she`ll do it or not, whether it will pay her enough in this scam, I don`t really know. But we`ll see what happens.

HAMMER: Now, Jane, did I properly hear you say something about hot- oil wrestling?

RAY: She did! I heard it.

VELEZ: I did indeed. I did indeed, because that`s what happens in the process of reforming these women of ill repute. They have them doing all sorts of lascivious and salacious things and that`s the hypocrisy of it all.

Just admit that everybody wants to get off on watching these girls and go for it. But don`t pretend that you are some sort of moral superior who is going to reform them because you know right from wrong and they don`t.

HAMMER: Jane, Jane, there is a certain etiquette to hot-oil wrestling. And let us not forget Ashley Dupre, of course. And Jane makes a good point. You know, she was responsible for essentially ruining the governor of New York. So Howard, with that in mind, do you think people at home will really want to sit around and watch her - I don`t know - learning things like good table manners on Trump`s reality show?

RAY: Yes.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, FOUNDER, FIFTEEN MINUTES PUBLIC RELATIONS: Well, first of all, the governor ruined the governor of New York. He made the called to her; she didn`t call him, so let`s start there. But you`re going to underestimate the taste of the America people, A.J.? I wouldn`t do that.

We love - it`s going to be called the train wreck hour. And Tanika said something really important. You know, Donald Trump is a master of PR. If he wants to work in my New York office, he should just call me. But what`s really interesting - it doesn`t matter if she does it or not. What a brilliant PR stunt to call attention to his new show now that "The Apprentice" is over.

RAY: Absolutely.

And that`s the brilliance of him. And you know, the only controversy Donald doesn`t like is one that he can`t sink his teeth into. Bravo, Donald, you`ve done it again. And you`re going to be a publicist next week. Call me and we`ll talk about -

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Howard, I think you want to work for him.

HAMMER: Well, and in fairness to Donald -

BRAGMAN: No, I`m not - we wouldn`t do that well.

HAMMER: And in fairness to him, aside from the fact that he`s so good at, you know, making the attention focus on him and his products and shows, he did send Miss USA Tara Conner to rehab so she could save her crown. You know, Tanika, I`m thinking Donald`s got kind of a track record here. Maybe he`s just trying to save humanity one damsel in distress at the same time.

RAY: You know, he did try to get Britney on his "Celebrity Apprentice" with, you know, no success and Lindsay on "Celebrity Apprentice." So he`s smart to throw that net out there wide. Whether or not they do it is a whole other game. But yes, he`s really brilliant.

And he makes a big publicity stunt over it. And he makes everybody listen to it. Now, we`re all dying to see his new show and nobody`s even been cast on it yet. So hopefully Tara Conner will be on the show and all the girls he`s saved. Donald, thank you so much for all the work that you do. We appreciate it.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: You want to work for him, too.

HAMMER: Who do you think would be next, Jane? You know, maybe he`ll bring in Amy Winehouse or even Paris if that`s salvageable?

RAY: Kim Kardashian.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I think bring them all in and bring in Britney and Kim and Amy and have them all hot-oil wrestling together. That`s what he should do.

RAY: Jane! Jane`s going to be a judge on the show.

HAMMER: Let me tell you all something. Donald is smiling right now in his limo because we`re talking about him and his new show. Tanika Ray -

RAY: Hey, Trumpy(ph)!

HAMMER: Howard Bragman, Jane Velez-Mitchell, stay right where you are, because you know what else has me totally confounded. Kim Kardashian`s ridiculous comments about her triple x-rated sex tape. Look at this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

KING: And it was an intimate sex tape, though, right? Are you ashamed of that?

KARDASHIAN: Of course you`re ashamed of that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Ashamed? Kim, of course, is the daughter of the late O.J. Simpson lawyer, Robert Kardashian. But it was her sex tape that made her career. Our fired-up panel is outraged and shouting, are you kidding me? Coming up next.

ANDERSON: A.J., something else people think is ridiculous, dating your friend`s ex. I think you`re just asking for trouble here. Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. The Hollywood ex-files, a showbiz special report, coming up.

HAMMER: And Kathie Lee back on TV. And you won`t believe where she`s ending up. You have got to stick around to find out.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

All right. Reality TV star, Kim Kardashian now says she`s now ashamed that had she made the sex tape seen around the Worldwide Web. Now, come on, Kim. That sex tape is what launched your career. Are you kidding me?

Back with us once again, Howard Bragman founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations, author and investigative journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell and Tanika Ray, from "Extra."

All right. Kim made this now famous sex tape with Brandy`s brother, the rap star. I guess you could call him Ray J.

And now, of course, she`s got her own reality show on E!, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Now, you`ve got to listen to what Kim told Larry King when he asked her if she`s ashamed. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

Of course you`re ashamed of that. You know, I have my whole family that is now thrust into this, you know, drama and it`s all my fault. I have little sisters that I have to answer to and explain things to. And you know kids hear things at school.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: All right, gang. So Kim says she`s ashamed. Jane, this is the sex tape that was the reason that people even knew who the heck Kim is. Are you kidding me?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: You are absolutely right, A.J. Now, I have to start out by saying I would be a total hypocrite if I didn`t say that when I was her age, I did some really stupid things that I look back on and say, "What was I thinking?"

RAY: That hot oil?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: But that being said - yes, maybe a little hot oil. That being said, obviously this tape has propelled her into a level of stardom she would never have achieved, a level of fame or perhaps infamy that she wouldn`t have achieved without this tape. Very similar to what happened with Paris Hilton and her sex tape.

So I would say at this point, have the courage of your convictions. This wasn`t some momentary lapse. This looks like an MTV shoot. It is highly stylized. She`s mugging for the camera, so to speak. You know, just go with it because it`s done and you can`t take it back.

HAMMER: Well - and just like Paris Hilton, she goes on "LARRY KING" and she acts all contrite. Howard, it`s like she`s really taken a page out of the Paris playbook here.

BRAGMAN: She is and I mean - you look at her role model, it`s Paris Hilton. I`ll never forget my first boss in PR. I said to him one day, "You know, sometimes we have to lie." And he said, "I think of it as telling the truth appropriately." And I think she was just telling the truth appropriately.

I don`t think America wants to hear her say, "I`m going to get famous and make millions of dollars from this sex tape." And I think she told her truth in the right way. The courage of your convictions may not have been the right thing to say for America. So it worked, Kim. You got a TV show now. Mazeltov. Go on. You have such a beautiful career.

HAMMER: Now, Tanika Correspondent Ray, don`t you think she needs to just own it? I mean, come on. Are you kidding me here?

RAY: No, she has. She has owned it. This is the thing, OK? It only has so many minutes - 15 minutes, Howard, of fame that tape had. Now that that 15 minutes is over, now she`s going to be really sad about it and upset that it`s released.

When it comes down to it, is she profiting from this tape? The answer is probably no. Now if she was making a little money off the back end, I bet she wouldn`t be upset about that tape so much. It was, let`s all say it, her big break. Nobody would ever know who Kim Kardashian was. So be proud, sister. No whining in sex tapes.

HAMMER: Be proud, sister. Now, Kim told Larry also - this confounds me as well. Her little sisters were thrown into the whole sex tape drama when that tape was released. Now, Jane, her sisters are right there starring alongside Kim on the reality show. Did the Kardashians actually think people are that naive?

RAY: Come on.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I honestly don`t know why the world is so fascinated with the Kardashians. I watch them drive around in their fancy cars and play chopsticks. And I`m like, next. Please. I mean they seem to epitomize the superficiality, materialism and self-centeredness that is the hallmark of our culture. I do hope that maybe they segue into some thing into something perhaps more giving, more spiritual or a little more introspective.

HAMMER: So, Jane, do I have this clear? You are not keeping up with the Kardashians?

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I am not-not keeping up with the Kardashians.

HAMMER: All right. Howard Bragman, I know you are - Tanika Ray, you are as well - And I appreciate -

RAY: It`s a good (UNINTELLIGIBLE)

HAMMER: I appreciate you all being with us. And of course, the lovely Jane Velez-Mitchell. Thank you all.

Gosh, I think we worked something out there. All right. Remember you can now watch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT video reports anytime you`d like. They`re right there on our Web site, new ones are going up all the time. Dig in - CNN.com/ShowbizTonight.

ANDERSON: Hey, A.J., here`s something else that makes a lot of people say, are you kidding me? Dating your friend`s ex. I know, I know. You never know who you`re going to fall for.

But I think there`s real potential for all kinds of bad things to happen. Just look at what happened with Denise Richards, Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora. Then there`s Jake Gyllenhaal who`s with his buddy`s ex, Reese Witherspoon. A controversial showbiz special report, the Hollywood ex-files. Keep it right here, next.

HAMMER: So Brooke, Regis Philbin`s ex coming back to TV. You know this lady. Yes, it`s been a while since we`ve seen her. Of course, I`m talking about his ex-co-host, Kathie Lee Gifford. Wait until you hear where she`s ending and why she`s already causing a little bit of controversy. That is coming up.

But first, we`ve been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day, shocking talk that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married over the weekend. They did not. But what do you think? "Brad and Angelina: Should they get married?"

Keep voting at CNN.com/ShowbizTonight or E-mail us at showbiz@cnn.com.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. And this is TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. Well, you know how that old song goes, "Breaking up Is Hard to Do."

Well, it`s even harder when your ex hooks up with your best friend after the break-up. Tonight, a special report, Hollywood ex-files, the stars who date their pals` former flings, friendships be damned. But is that just plain wrong?

Joining me tonight in New York, Dr. Judy Kuriansky, clinical psychologist and author of "The Complete Idiot`s Guide to a Healthy Relationship." And in Miami, again, Michael Cohen, Miami editor for "In Touch Weekly."

Dr. Judy, Michael, we know this stuff happens all the time in Hollywood. Just ask Heather Locklear who not only split up with her husband of 11 years in 2006, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, but watched him rebound in the arms of another woman, her best friend, Denise Richards. Dr. Judy, OK or just plain wrong?

DR. JUDY KURIANSKY, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: Oh, just plain wrong. I think Denise Richards and Richie Sambora in this situation, Brooke, belong in the BFF and ex-husband hall of shame. For a best friend forever as Denise was supposed to be to Heather, whether or not they had really broken up. And it`s kind of unclear what really happened time-wise in that situation.

That was such a devastating and nasty and really wrong thing to do to your best girlfriend or guys to do it to their best boyfriend. It is so hurtful. It`s a double whammy of betrayal that does not leave a person. And we know Heather is suffering. And it`s real for her to suffer.

COHEN: Yes.

ANDERSON: Michael, you want to pipe up. Go ahead.

COHEN: I want to pipe up - it`s terrible. But the story doesn`t have to go on and on. It`s very betrayal. It happened. I think it was a horrible thing that happened. I agree with Dr. Judy on that. And I`m sure Heather is suffering a lot of bad feelings. But you know what? Things happen.

KURIANSKY: Oh, must things happen? You can`t just leave it at that.

ANDERSON: Oh, my goodness. All right. You know -

KURIANSKY: You both have to have some feelings for each other -

COHEN: No, what I`m saying it`s bad, but things happen. I mean -

KURIANSKY: And some sense that what you`re doing hurts people. You think with your head. You use your head and you say, "I`m going to be loyal."

ANDERSON: Michael, it`s just -

COHEN: It is good to be loyal.

ANDERSON: I do want to move now to the next triangle. Ryan Philippe, his ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon and her new boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal. You know, Ryan recently told "USA Today" that it`s, quote, "bizarre" seeing his ex-wife dating his ex-buddy.

Celebrities like Jake and Reese - they actually got close on the set of their movie, "Rendition." They`re attractive, they`re successful. I`m sure they wouldn`t have a hard time finding other dates. Michael, did Jake cross the line here, or is it all right? I think I know what you`ll say.

COHEN: You guys are going to think I`m really, really terrible.

KURIANSKY: Yes.

COHEN: But my attitude towards it is this - it`s very bad when, you know - Jake, yes, he crossed the line, you know. But, you know, Ryan, he said it`s weird. But in the other way, like maybe he should be happy for them. They found each other. You know, if Jake wants his leftovers, have them.

ANDERSON: Oh, I would never describe Reese in that way. Michael, oh! All right.

KURIANSKY: The thing is, there are so many fish in the sea. You really don`t have to go back to the same place to really find somebody.

COHEN: Now, that`s familiar.

KURIANSKY: But here`s my one qualification. And that is, if it`s OK with everybody. So what should really happen from a psychological sense here is that everybody should sit down and say, "How do you feel about it?"

The girlfriend should call up her girlfriend and say, "I think I`m falling for your man."

COHEN: Oh, my god. You`re crazy.

KURIANSKY: "And what do you think - how is that going to affect you? Is this really going to ruin your life? And how are you really going to get over that?" Come on, Michael. Are you joking?

COHEN: What`s this? "Steal my boyfriend therapy class?" Come on, that`s crazy.

ANDERSON: Michael, communication could be key here.

KURIANSKY: It will be for healing for everybody. That`s what really helps.

COHEN: Communication is fear in the pictures that I saw, OK? That`s the communication. They`re holding each other - come on.

ANDERSON: All right, come on. I`m going to leave it right there for now. Michael Cohen, Dr. Judy Kuriansky.

KURIANSKY: There`s karma, Michael.

ANDERSON: Great talking to you.

COHEN: Dr. Judy, nice to see you.

KURIANSKY: Bad karma.

HAMMER: Calm down, everybody. Come on. All right, Brooke, some big news about Regis Philbin`s ex, his ex-co-host, that is - Kathie Lee Gifford coming back to TV.

It is now but eight years since she signed off live. Tonight, you won`t believe where she is turning up and why she`s already causing controversy. Don`t go anywhere. It`s next.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HAMMER: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York. Well, tonight, I can tell you Kathie Lee is coming back soon to a TV near you. On Monday`s "Today Show," Matt Lauer broke the news of her return using a little movie trivia.

MATT LAUER, HOST, "THE TODAY SHOW": To quote Michael Corleone in "Godfather 3," "Just when they throw us out, they dragged me back in."

KATHIE LEE GIFFORD, TV PERSONALITY: I know. And you know what? It couldn`t be worse timing in some ways. I`m eight years older, ten pounds heavier and a half-inch shorter and just in time for HD television. No sense. It would be good to be working because I`m really tired of staying home watching Frank old - you know.

(CROSS TALK)

GIFFORD: You look good. That`s why they call you a (UNINTELLIGIBLE)

(END VIDEO CLIP)

HAMMER: Well, Kathie Lee, of course, is talking about her husband, NFL great Frank. And she`ll be joining the fourth hour of the "Today" show beginning next Monday. Kathie Lee, of course, spent 15 years with Regis Philbin over on "Live" before leaving him in year 2000 and that`s when Kelly Ripa took over for her. By the way, Reg - he didn`t say anything about it on his show today. I think he`s rooting for his old friend Kathie, except of course in the cities where their shows will be going head to head.

ANDERSON: Yes, a little friendly competition.

Well, Britney Spears` little teen sister is pregnant. It has shocked everybody. And then we heard that she may be engaged.

So on Friday, we asked you to vote on this, our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day - "16 and Pregnant: Should Jamie Lynn Spears get married?"

Only 17 percent of you say yes. And that means 83 percent of you said no. Here are some of the E-mails that we received.

Whitney from Texas writes, "She should focus on motherhood and furthering her education. Fame can go as quickly as it comes."

And Andrea from Michigan says, "I don`t believe that the American public knows either the bride or groom well enough to make a judgment. It`s about time everyone leaves this entire family alone.

And we do appreciate your E-mails. Keep them coming.

HAMMER: And maybe they`ll live happily ever after. They again, maybe I`m delusional. I don`t know. Give them the benefit of the doubt.

ANDERSON: I don`t think so. It`s good to be optimistic.

HAMMER: That`s it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m A.J. Hammer in New York.

ANDERSON: I`m Brooke Anderson in Hollywood. And remember, you can always catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11:00s - 11:00 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 p.m. Pacific, and in the morning, 11:00 a.m. Eastern. The latest from "CNN HEADLINE NEWS" is next.
