More Stars` Kids Being Put on Reality TV Shows

Aired March 5, 2008 - 23:00:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

BROOKE ANDERSON, CNN ANCHOR, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT: Very sad news to share with you tonight about actor Patrick Swayze. The "Dirty Dancing" star is in the fight for his life. We`ve just learned he has pancreatic cancer. The late-breaking details coming up.
And I`ve got the explosive new documents that reveal just how nasty the divorce battle is between Hulk Hogan and his wife. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York. TV`s most provocative entertainment news show starts right now.

On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, honey, I`ve sold the kids. Tonight, the outrage over parents of big stars putting their kids on reality TV shows. Lindsay Lohan`s mom Dina doing it. Denise Richards doing it. Kimora Lee Simmons also doing it. But wait a second. Is it totally irresponsible for parents to throw their young children out there like this? SHOWBIZ TONIGHT with a fired up debate over "Honey, I sold the kids."

Tonight, a party girl`s casting call. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT casts some of the wild women of Hollywood who should play Britney, Lindsay, Paris, Nicole? Get ready for some serious lights, camera and action as SHOWBIZ TONIGHT casts the party girl`s movie.

And an Anna Nicole Smith shocker. Is her daughter Dannielynn destined to be a poor little rich girl?

Hi there, everyone, I`m Brooke Anderson in New York. AJ is off tonight. And tonight, there are explosive new court documents that reveal just how nasty the split between Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda has become over who gets the house, over their very own troubled teenage son. Why each side is saying the other Hogan doesn`t know best. That is coming up.

But first, honey, I stole the kids. You would think with all that Lindsay Lohan has been through, it might be a good idea for her mother to shield Lindsay`s kid sister Ali (ph) from the madness of the limelight. You would think. But tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that not only is Lindsay`s mom putting her sister out there in a reality TV show about their life, she`s not alone. If you`re thinking, hey, it`s outrageous for the moms to do this, I can also tell you that you are not alone.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON (voice-over): Mother knows best. The mother-daughter story everyone was talking about starring Dina Lohan as the bother/manager of the famous daughter who struggles under the pressures of fame and is trying to rescue a blown movie career that`s now on life support. All while Dina fought charges that she`s a fame-seeking stage mom.

PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: She`s the Hollywood madam of mothers.

ANDERSON: Now Dina Lohan is bringing us a sequel where she tries to bring fame to her other daughter and this time America gets to watch it on TV. Call it mother knows best. This time it`s financial with a much younger co-star, her 14-year-old daughter Ali. People are reacting strongly.

LALAMA: I am sick to my stomach.

ANDERSON: E! Entertainment television is planning a new reality show about Dina`s attempts to make Ali famous like her sister, without all that other bad stuff.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: She was charged for driving under the influence and for possession of the cocaine.

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you the Dina and Ali shows caps a disturbing trend we`ve been noticing lately, semi-famous moms putting their young children, some of them barely out of diapers, in reality shows designed to boost mom`s fame.

LILLIAN GLASS, PSYCHOLOGIST, AUTHOR OF "TOXIC PEOPLE": It`s quite unconscionable to have children in this situation so that the parents can get some fame.

ANDERSON: SHOWBIZ TONIGHT asks, could this reality trend be really damaging? Dina is not the only mom bringing young kids to reality land. Kimora Lee Simmons reality show, "Life in the Fast Lane," prominently features her seven and five-year-old daughters. And Denise Richards is planning a reality show featuring her daughters who are only two and three- years old.

CAROLINA BERMUDEZ, SR. EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": I think that Denise is using these kids as a pawn for either content or fodder for people to talk about because her life really isn`t that interesting.

ANDERSON: It all got Richard`s ex, Charlie Sheen so angry, he went to court to try to get a judge to stop the show. It didn`t work and now Charlie has called for a boycott of his ex`s TV series. This got Denise angry. In a statement, "In Touch Weekly" confirmed by SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, Denise says quote, this court battle wasn`t about our girls on the show; it was him battling me. He wasn`t trying to protect the kids at all.

GLASS: These poor children have been through divorce. They`ve been through trauma, emotional instability and now to put them in this situation is unfair.

ANDERSON: Psychologist Lillian Glass tells SHOWBIZ TONIGHT that whether they are Denise Richards` kids, Kimora Lee Simmons kids or Dina Lohan`s kids, putting young children in reality shows is a bad idea.

GLASS: I think parents that subject their children to this really need to take a good look at themselves, because it`s about them. It`s about their own narcissism. This may have disastrous results down the road.

ANDERSON: If, like some predict, growing up in front of the cameras does cause problems for these kids later on, what the heck? Someone might be able to make a reality show out of it.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: All right. Doesn`t mommy also know this? Celebrity kids already have the potential to become messed up, so why aggravate the situation? Joining me tonight from Hollywwod, investigative journalist Pat Lalama and here in New York, contributing editor of "Cookie" magazine Robi Ludwig. Robi, Pat, thank you for joining us and Pat, I want to begin with you. Is doing this irresponsible or just plain stupid or both?

LALAMA: Here`s the thing, Brooke. Let me put it to you this way. You said honey, I sold the kids. How about honey, I sold the kids and sold my soul to the devil? It`s about how it`s approached. You can have responsible ways of having your children involved in television. I mean come on. There`s child actors who come out just fine in life. But the motivation and you spoke to this in the earlier piece, the motivation is for the parents. These are B-level, C-level human beings on the Hollywood echelon who so desperately need fame and fortune. Why not use the kids? That`s where it`s going to get dangerous.

ANDERSON: It does sound dangerous, doesn`t sound like responsible parenting at all. Robi, what do you think about it, bad move by the likes of Dina Lohan and Denise Richards?

ROBI LUDWIG, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR, "COOKIE" MAGAZINE: I think it certainly can be and I`m in total agreement with Pat. When you use your kids as an accessory, that`s when it can get dangerous for the children because you`re not really putting the children first. You`re putting yourself first and if the kids feel that on some level, that`s when kids can get messed up. When they feel like hey, when is it ever about me? Why does it always have to be about mom or pleasing mom? And what we know about reality television is they look for conflict and they almost make caricatures out of the people that they are viewing. So that`s when the danger can happen. Do you really want to subject your children to something that we really don`t know that much about yet?

ANDERSON: Yeah, you don`t want to use your kids and you don`t want your kids to think they are being used in any way, shape or form. Here`s what a lot of people don`t get. Dina Lohan of all people knows the trouble Lindsay has gotten into because of the pressures of Hollywood at a young age, rehab, a jail stint, all before age 21. Pat, why do you think Dina may think this is OK? She`s got to justify it to herself in some way.

LALAMA: You can do one of two analyzes. The apple doesn`t far from the tree or the fish stinks from the head. The point of the matter is, I`m going to go out and say it, these children get into trouble because they haven`t had the proper parenting behind them. Notice the kinds of families that these executives in TV land decide to feature, people who are potential train wrecks or are train wrecks now. The whole idea behind the Lohans is A, because mom is hot. Do you think if she was unattractive woman, Dina Lohan would get her own show? No. She`s hot. She`s desperate for attention. Lindsay`s in trouble. The younger child at least in their mind, that the series will last long enough for Ali to get into rehab too and gee, they could go a few extra seasons. This is all very insidious. This is not about people sitting around the board room going, what can we do to promote families in America with television? I`m not saying that has to be the number one responsibility all the time, but there`s something quite insidious about picking families that you know who are headed to disaster.

ANDERSON: It`s extremely worrisome and as we just mentioned, Denise Richards` children are two and three years old and those kids were also at the center of a bitter and public divorce battle. Robi, is there anything about them being on a reality show like this that can possibly be beneficial for them?

LUDWIG: You know, maybe if it creates a bonding moment with their parents or somehow they discover that they really like being in front of the camera and it`s fun for them. You know, really what`s important here is that there isn`t any pressure put on these kids and that they don`t get burnt out prematurely. But I think this is really about Denise Richards trying to re-brand herself as being a good single parent and again using her kids to say look, I`m really not as bad as the tabloids suggested I am.

ANDERSON: But Robi, let me just interject. This is the same woman who publicly made allegations that her ex, Charlie Sheen was involved in Internet porn. I mean what kind of people are we talking about here?

LUDWIG: We are talking about, you know, a very narcissistic exhibitionistic type of group of people who basically they need everybody to see who they are in order to feel that they exist. The problem is sometimes the judgment is not always so good. It`s very impulsive and it`s look at me, look at me, I don`t care what you`re really looking at me for.

LALAMA: Without the TV executives who believe that there is an audience in this, it would never happen.

LUDWIG: Agreed.

LALAMA: Somebody out there is watching it or they wouldn`t make it. And that`s a whole other subject for a whole other show.

ANDERSON: We will continue this conversation. Certainly we will continue this conversation. It is very troublesome. And I want to mention those allegations Denise made, Charlie Sheen has denied them. Pat Lalama, Robi Ludwig, thank you both.

And now we want to hear from you. It is our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. Celebrity reality shows, should stars keep their kids off reality TV? Vote cnn.com/showbiz tonight. E-mail us, showbiztonight@cnn.com.

OK, so tonight, we`re suspending reality for just a bit. It`s a party girl`s casting call. Tonight we are casting some of the wild women of Hollywood in a hypothetical party girl`s movie. Who should play Lindsay Lohan? Jessica Alba or maybe Miley Cyrus? How about Paris Hilton, Kate Hudson or I don`t know, maybe there`s no substitute for Paris and she`s just got to play herself. And then of course there`s Britney Spears. Tara Reid could be a good choice or how about Britney`s pregnant sis Jamie Lynn? Our fired up panel is ready to tear into this. And we want to hear your picks too. It`s the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT special report, casting the party girls.

Well, the party is over for Hulk Hogan and his wife. I was really surprised to hear that they were getting divorced and then I thought, OK, maybe this will be quick and painless. Tonight, I tell you it`s not. I`ve got the explosive new documents that reveal just how nasty their divorce battle has become. I can also tell you their kids getting caught in the middle of the whole thing. That`s coming up.

And also very sad news to share with you tonight about actor Patrick Swayze, the "Dirty Dancing" star in the fight for his life. We have just learned he has pancreatic cancer. The late-breaking details are coming up. Stay with us for that.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LARRY BIRKHEAD: I hate to be the one that told you this, but I told you so.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: That was Larry Birkhead after a court ruled he was indeed the father of Anna Nicole Smith`s baby Dannielynn. Now SHOWBIZ TONIGHT is bringing you dramatic news about another big court decision that promises to change Dannielynn`s life forever. Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York.

Tonight, the Dannielynn decision, one of two stories new right now that I`ve got to tell you about. A judge has just named Dannielynn as Anna Nicole Smith`s sole heir. Will she become a multi-million dollar baby? And Britney Spears back in the dance studio but as a teacher. Britney`s teaching five-year-olds some new moves. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? With me tonight in Hollywood, Carlos Diaz, correspondent for "Extra," also, Kim Serafin, "In Touch Weekly," senior editor. Carlos, Kim, I want to begin with little baby Dannielynn. In Anna Nicole`s will drafted five years before Dannielyn was actually born, Anna Nicole stated that her late son Daniel would be her one and only heir. She clearly said she intentionally omitted future children. Carlos, what changed?

CARLOS DIAZ, "EXTRA": I`ll tell you what changed is the fact that Howard K. Stern got to Larry Birkhead and convinced him that it would be a negative thing for those two to fight over this and that if they actually could come to some kind of resolution, everyone would benefit because God gave Howard K. Stern the brains and God gave Larry Birkhead the looks. I`ll tell you right now, they got together and made one heck of a guy. Because here`s the thing. They said to themselves, let`s get together and get this solved so now we can actually go after the billions of dollars that are out there from the oil tycoon in Texas, Howard Marshall.

ANDERSON: Did you ever think that these two, Carlos, would be comrades in arms after that extremely bitter fight over who was the father of Dannielynn?

DIAZ: I covered this case from beginning to end, and what went on, there were three people fighting over two things in that case. The three people were Howard K. Stern, Virgie Arthur, who was Anna Nicole`s mom and Larry Birkhead and the two things they were fighting over where to bury Anna Nicole and who Dannielynn`s rightful father is. So Howard K. Stern won by having Anna Nicole buried in the Bahamas and Larry Birkhead won when the DNA tests came back was confirmed he`s the father. Now that Virgie Arthur is out of the situation, Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead can work together and like I said, the main goal in this is to get either all of the billions or at least millions of dollars from the oil tycoon in this situation.

ANDERSON: Let`s talk about that. As we know, there is still a battle going on over the estate of Anna Nicole`s late billionaire husband Jay Howard Marshall`s fortune, involving an estimated $88 million. Kim, is Dannielynn now the sole heir a blessing or a curse do you think in that she`s also inheriting Anna Nicole`s problems?

KIM SERAFIN, SR. EDITOR, "IN TOUCH WEEKLY": Probably a little bit of both. Obviously, she`s going to have to deal with all of the -- everything that happens. But hopefully this will be settled by the time that she`s 18 or even by the time she is 12 or 13 and can understand what happened. Hopefully now that the two of them are working together, that Larry and Howard are working together, maybe they can put everything aside. I`m probably -- this is probably wishful thinking, but for the sake of that girl. Showing those clips that you`re just showing of her on Larry King, this cute little girl is going to have to deal with so much tragedy, hearing about what happened before she was born, hearing about what happened after she was born, hearing about her mother. Hopefully they can put this aside and come to some conclusion and she can get on with her life.

ANDERSON: She`s so innocent and sweet. Just look at her. And now she`s saddled with this lawsuit with no promise of a reward. And Carlos, the inheritance, which is still unclear the size, what the size of that will be, is set up in the form of a trust. But do you really think the co- trustees, Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead will get a piece of that?

DIAZ: I think so and let me tell you why, because the fact that they`re showing America right now that they can work together, Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead, wouldn`t you think they`re going to go to the family of Jay Howard Marshall and say listen, we`ve come to an agreement here. Why don`t we all come to an agreement, because we`re talking about billions of dollars. If you give me $10 million, I`m pretty much set for life. So why not instead of fighting over billions, why don`t we all settle for a few million and we can walk away happy in this situation.

ANDERSON: Just meet in the middle. Everybody walks away with something. Moving now to another story new right now, Britney Spears teaching young kids to dance at the dance studio she`s been frequenting for quite a while now and the kids are quoted as saying they are loving her. Kim, it`s not lost on us that a court will barely allow her to see her own kids. What`s going on here?

SERAFIN: I think this is so therapeutic for Britney. I mean, this is what she loves to do. She finally seems to have gotten her life a little bit under control, now that her dad is in there, now that she`s not doing the 4:00 a.m. shopping trips to Rite Aid. These things seem to have calmed down a little bit and she`s going back to what she loves, going back to what made her famous to begin with and that was dancing and performing. And I`m sure part of it, it helps her, because she can`t see her kids. And I think this is probably getting her back into some sort of normal routine and helping her out a little bit. I think this is such a great step for her.

ANDERSON: She needs positivity in her life and maybe teaching these kids is providing that. Carlos Diaz, Kim Serafin, thank you both. Good to see you.

Some very sad news to share with you tonight about actor Patrick Swayze. The "Dirty Dancing" star is in the fight for his life. We`ve just learned he has pancreatic cancer. The late-breaking details coming up next.

Also tonight, we are casting some of the wildest women in Hollywood, the party girls. If we made a film about them, who should play Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton? A fired up panel is on the way. If you don`t like their picks, we`ll give you the chance to play casting agent. It`s a SHOWBIZ TONIGHT special report, "Casting the Party Girls."

And new right now, the shocking Hulk Hogan divorce. I`ve met the family before a bunch of time. I was really shocked to hear they`re splitting up. But what`s even more surprising is how nasty it`s getting and now their kids are getting caught up in it. That`s coming up.

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. I`m Brooke Anderson. Here`s a story that`s new right now and it`s a heartbreaking one. Tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. There were reports out there that claimed the disease was so advanced that he only had weeks to live. But tonight, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT can tell you that is not true. Here`s what we heard from the "Dirty Dancing" star`s publicist. Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick`s physician, Dr. George Fisher states, Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic. Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects.

That is reassuring. The statement by Swayze`s rep goes on to say, the outpouring of support and concern he`s already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family. Patrick, we wish you well in your battle.

Tonight, explosive new revelations about how nasty Hulk Hogan`s divorce has become and his kids are getting caught up in the middle of the fight. I am really surprised that this one has gotten so ugly. It`s new right now and it`s coming up.

Tonight, we`ve got a controversial casting call of our own, but it`s going to be a lot of fun. We`re casting the wild women of Hollywood, the party girls. Who would play them in a movie? How about Britney Spears? Tara Reed might be a good choice. But how about Britney`s pregnant teen sister, Jamie Lynn? Also, who should play Lindsay Lohan? Jessica Alba maybe, Miley Cyrus. And Paris Hilton, Kate Hudson or I don`t know, maybe there`s no substitute for Paris and she`s just got to play herself. Our fired up panel is ready to tear into this. And hey, we want to hear your picks, too. It`s a SHOWBIZ special report, casting the party girls. You don`t wasn`t to miss it. Stay with us.

SUSAN HENDRICKS, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Hi there. I`m Susan Hendricks with your headline prime news break. Barack Obama says he`s preparing to sharpen his attacks on Hillary Clinton after her victories in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island. Late Wednesday, his campaign criticized Clinton for not releasing income tax returns. Her office says those returns will be available by April 15th. Meanwhile, Obama is being hammered by the Clinton campaign over ties to a developer facing Federal influence peddling charges.

And President Bush endorsed the presumptive Republican nominee John McCain in a rose garden ceremony at the White House Wednesday. Bush says McCain has courage, character and perseverance to lead the country.

And the FBI admits it went too far during anti-terror investigations several years ago using unauthorized subpoenas to get personal data on Americans from their bank, telephone and Internet companies in 2006. Director Robert Mueller says the agency has reformed procedures since then. I`m Susan Hendricks. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT continues with the party girl casting call.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: On SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, lights, camera, train wreck. Tonight, we are casting the party girls movie, Paris, Lindsay, Britney and Nicole. We got to thinking, who should play the party girls if somebody made this train wreck of a film?

We came up with some surprising choices so sit back for a SHOWBIZ Special Report, "Party Girls Casting Call."

Hulk Hogan`s divorce gets really nasty. Explosive, brand-new documents showed just how brutal this divorce battle is getting with their son Nick caught in the middle. It`s a situation so many people can relate to. Hulk Hogan`s bitter divorce fight.

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. It is 30 minutes past the hour. I`m Brooke Anderson coming to you tonight from New York. A.J. Hammer is off. You are watching TV`s most provocative entertainment news show.

Tonight, a SHOWBIZ Special Report, the party girls casting call. Take a look at these wild women of Hollywood. It`s actually comedian Sarah Silverman, Sandra Bernhard, Wanda Sykes, Chelsea Handler and Jenna Fischer dressed up as the bad girls of Hollywood for this month`s "Vanity Fair."

But it really got us thinking here at SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, if there were a blockbuster bad girl`s movie, who would we cast as Paris, Britney, Lindsay, Nicole?

I`ve got an official panel of credential judges who will help me decide the ultimate cast. Joining me tonight in Hollywood, investigative journalist, Pat Lalama, in Miami, Michael Cohen, Miami editor for "In Touch Weekly," and joining us from Hollywood tonight, Howard Bragman, founder of Fifteen Minutes Public Relations.

Welcome and let`s get started here. The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff has come up with the finalists and I`d like to start with the queen bee of party town, of course, Britney Spears.

Charles, can I have the drum roll please.

And the nominees are, oh I love this, Britney`s little sister, Jamie Lynn, child star Dakota Fanning or Hollywood wild girl Tara Reid.

Pat Lalama, who`s your pick?

PAT LALAMA, INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALIST: I`m going to say Tara Reid, and here`s why. And I want you to know I`ve investigated all of this very, very thoroughly today.

ANDERSON: Good to know.

LALAMA: Tara Reid because they both could share what I think would be a great residence, a double wide trailer for both of them. But then again, that insults all the great people that live in trailers. So I think they could both share a cave but that insults cave people. So I think they -- as soon as you said Tara Reid, I said, yes, that was -- two are both kind of skunky. Sorry.

ANDERSON: That was oh mean.

LALAMA: Mean. I know it`s mean.

ANDERSON: Pat. Michael, are you going to be that mean?

MICHAEL COHEN, MIAMI EDITOR, IN TOUCH WEEKLY: Tara Reid is the obvious one on this one. I mean, she -- I mean -- but you`re forgetting that the real, you know, the first Britney Spears is actually Drew Barrymore. I mean she is the one that`s -- you know, she`s the original Britney Spears. I mean she`s been playing this game since she`s 9 years old and all she has to do is tap into her old self. I mean throw her a pink wig, some dogs, a dented Mercedes, and you know, she`s ready.

ANDERSON: Yes. She did have those party girls days one time. Maybe she could use her experience.

COHEN: Yes.

Howard, your thoughts?

COHEN: That`s for sure.

HOWARD BRAGMAN, FOUNDER, FIFTEEN MINUTES PUBLIC RELATIONS: It is Tara Reid. I`m sorry, she doesn`t wear underwear, she`s perfect. She`s perfect.

LALAMA: I am right.

BRAGMAN: It`s not a big stretch here. She`s the winner.

ANDERSON: All right. Let`s pencil that in. Tara Reid as Britney Spears.

Now let`s move on to the ever intriguing self-proclaimed former party girl Lindsay Lohan. Who should play her in the bad girls movie? Well, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff has nominated Lindsay`s little sister Ali, the beautiful Jessica Alba and tween music sensation Miley Cyrus.

Michael, what say ye?

COHEN: Oh I say Miley Cyrus. I mean she is a hot minute away from becoming the next Lindsay Lohan. I mean I looked at her and I just thought that girl is going to be trouble like, in one year from now.

Remember Lindsay was in "The Parent Trap"? She`s all like cute and sweet and then next thing you know like she`s out in every Hollywood club. And you know what? That`s my pick on that one.

Jessica Alba, she`s too plain Jane for me. I mean -- and her sister, I mean, she has a couple steps to go before she can play her own sister.

ANDERSON: All right. And let`s hope that same thing doesn`t happen to Miley. She seems so grounded at this point.

Howard, your thoughts?

BRAGMAN: I`m thinking Jack Black. I really love Jack Black as Lindsay with the red wig and -- I can just see him emulating the Marilyn photo shoot with the gauze. It would be a hot thing and he would be very, very well received. I`m thinking Oscar nomination.

ANDERSON: Jack Black has taken many comedic risks before, I think he could do it, Howard.

All right. Next up on our party girls casting call, the one, the only, Paris Hilton. Who should play her in the bad girls movie? Well, the SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff chose these finalists for this noble role. You`re going to love this.

Actress Kate Hudson, Paris`s little brother Baron dressed in drag or, you know, Paris herself. Let`s face it, she really did prove her acting prowess in "The Hottie and the Nottie."

Pat, what do you think?

LALAMA: Let me quote to you, Brooke. I`m not -- I told you I did research. I found an interview with the ingenious Tina Fey, of course, of "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" fame. This is what she said about Paris, and I`m getting to something important here.

Paris is a piece of -- can`t say it. OK? She proved that she`s the biggest piece of trash that ever walked the earth, so self-centered that no one else fits into her little world. She`s a spoiled brat that would listen to no reason. She -- we thought she`d be fun, but she wasn`t. She`s unbelievably dumb and proud of how she`s dumb and up close she looks like a transvestite. If the people of.

ANDERSON: Tina Fey, not mincing words.

LALAMA: If the people of "Saturday Night Live" who love to have fun, who find levity in every person, if this is what they`re saying about Paris Hilton, then only Paris Hilton can play Paris Hilton or...

COHEN: No, no. No, no. It`s Perez Hilton.

LALAMA: Go ahead.

COHEN: That`s the winner. Perez Hilton. I mean he emulates her. He`s her biggest fan. Give him like a Slim Fast, you know, you know, crash course in dieting and put a wig on him and he`s Paris Hilton.

ANDERSON: OK. We`ll let Perez and Paris.

LALAMA: You`re awfully into wings. He keeps talking about wigs.

COHEN: That`s because they all love wigs.

ANDERSON: I know, Michael. What are you trying to tell us? Well, we`ll let -- how about we let Perez and Paris battle it out to play Paris in the movie.

All right. And this brings us to our final party girl casting call. Nicole Richie, you know, sure, she`s a responsible mama these days but who can forget her crazy day? The SHOWBIZ TONIGHT staff picked Vanessa Hudgens, Mary Kate Olsen and Christina Ricci.

Howard, what do you think?

BRAGMAN: I`m liking Vanessa. She`s had some crazy days in her past and they call method acting. She can go back to those crazy times and really call up this character. So I think she`s perfect to play Nicole.

ANDERSON: Pat, your thoughts on Nicole?

LALAMA: I`m going to go Christina Ricci, because they both have such prominent eyeballs.

ANDERSON: Michael, very quickly.

COHEN: I have to agree with you on that. I think Nicole is a little bit weird and god knows Christina Ricci is a weirdo so, I mean, I think they`re perfect.

ANDERSON: Oh, you know, everyone speaks so harsh. Nicole is trying to turn her life around, but oh, we`ll see. And if this movie.

COHEN: Boring.

LALAMA: Well, Brooke, Brooke, I`m so glad that you don`t think I`m the only mean one. I always get tagged as the mean one. That`s just not fair.

ANDERSON: And Howard is over there being quiet because he`s sweet.

BRAGMAN: I`m being sweet today. OK?

ANDERSON: Yes, you are.

All right. Pat Lalama, Michael Cohen, Howard Bragman, thank you all.

And now we want to know what you think, who do you think should be cast for the party girls movie? Just drop us a line, e-mail us, SHOWBIZ TONIGHT at CNN.com.

All right. It is a situation so many people can relate to. A bitter divorce fight with kids caught in the middle. Explosive, brand-new documents show just how brutal the battle is getting between Hulk Hogan and his ex. Even their son Nick is coming up in the fight. I really feel for everybody involved in this scenario. Hulk Hogan`s nasty divorce coming up.

Also, when I think of Louis Vuitton, Keith Richards, not necessarily the first person I think of, but believe it or not, he`s the new face of the brand. Talk about high fashion. I have to ask what the heck was behind that decision.

Also this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment news show. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York.

Tonight, explosive new documents reveal just how nasty the divorce battle has gotten between Hulk Hogan and his wife. It`s really unfortunate. Now the Hulk`s underaged son Nick is in the middle of this bitter battle.

Also new right now -- and I`m not making this stuff, guys -- Rolling Stone bad boy Keith Richards is the new front man for, of all things, Louis Vuitton luggage.

Joining me tonight from Hollywood, "Extra" correspondent Carlos Diaz, also in Hollywood, "In Touch Weekly" senior editor Kim Serafin.

Kim, Carlos, great to have you with us again. And I do want to start with the Hogan divorce battle. New court documents reveal Hulk and Linda are fighting over everything, including what should be done with their Florida mansion and even whether either of them should be discussing the divorce with their troubled teenage son Nick.

Kim, they once seemed like the perfect couple. Are you surprised by how nasty this has become?

KIM SERAFIN, SENIOR EDITOR, IN TOUCH: I guess in some ways, yes, surprised because they were married for a long time and they did seem like -- even this guy, him being a professional wrestler, they kind of seemed like a happy family. But, you also have to wonder, you know, they did the reality show and I know a lot of people talk about like the reality show curse and people always seem to break up after they do a reality show, whether it`s Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro or Whitney and Bobby, but you have to wonder maybe there was a reason they got into the reality show business to begin with. Maybe that was a last ditch effort.

So maybe there were problems there for a while that we just didn`t know about.

ANDERSON: Well, you talk about that reality show curse. A lot of people don`t have a good track record after doing it. Also, you know, Nick and Jessica, Travis Barker, Shanna Moakler. Do you believe in a reality show curse because you`re letting those cameras in on some very private moments at times?

SERAFIN: You know, I guess it could happen. I mean there are people around you and then suddenly they leave and you don`t have that filter, you don`t have that buffer if there were problems to begin with. But like I said, maybe -- I would imagine if you`re a perfectly happy couple, you`re not going to say let`s do a reality show and let`s welcome people into our marriage to begin with. You know?

ANDERSON: Good point.

SERAFIN: It probably starts out that there are problems there already.

ANDERSON: Good point. Well, as we mentioned, the court document reveals that Linda wanted a judge to bar Hulk from talking about the divorce to Nick.

Carlos, this seems really bizarre to me, to have a judge tell you what you can and can`t discuss with your child.

CARLOS DIAZ, CORRESPONDENT, EXTRA: Respectfully, Brooke, I disagree because of the fact that Nick right now has his own problems. You know, he has -- there`s a case where he was allegedly drag racing and the person that was in the car with him is still in a critical condition. So he`s having to deal with his friend being near death. And now to hear that your parents are splitting up, you know, it`s one of those things where, you know, no child should have to go through.

You know., in the court documents, it says that Linda was telling Nick, you know, what to say to Hulk Hogan and passing information along through Nick to Hulk. And no child should be put through that. So I actually think it`s a great thing that the court has stepped and said, listen, let`s keep Nick out of this. He`s got enough issues to deal with right now.

ANDERSON: Yes. Don`t complicate his life any more.

Kim, do you think that`s a good idea to get a judge to simplify what`s happening?

SERAFIN: Yes, I mean, Carlos is exactly right. I mean, he`s dealing with his own troubles right now and they`ve got a long way to go with that. So it seems like, you know, celebrity or not, you know, it`s best to just kind of keep the kids out of this and let them get this settled and let the kid deal with his own problems because he`s got a lot of things to deal with.

ANDERSON: Absolutely. Well, the family did seem blissfully happy, to me, after speaking with them for so many times. It`s just sad.

And I do want to move now to another story that`s new right now. Get a load of this. It`s an ad featuring Keith Richards. He`s just been named the new face of the luxury brand Louis Vuitton. Yes, the bad boy Rolling Stones, hard core rocker.

Carlos, look at this. Is your head just spinning?

Brooke, I don`t really see what the problem is because -- really I don`t. Having Keith Richards as the face of Louis Vuitton, because when I think of leather, I think of the face of Keith Richards. So what`s the big deal here, people? I mean it makes perfect sense.

And also, too, you want to get a new -- you want to go after a new crowd, you know, and Keith Richards is that. You know, people who were fans of the Rolling Stones, suddenly, you know, it`s not so much about what they have in this bag over here, it`s what they have in their pockets so they got some cash to spend so, you know.

ANDERSON: Speaking of that cash, it probably cost about, you know, six grand for a piece of luggage like that.

Kim, 10 seconds, would this make you buy it?

SERAFIN: Not me personally, but apparently one of the reasons they went to him is because they`re trying to go after that older crowd that they love. A lot of younger people were getting into Louis Vuitton and they want us to go back to their more classic, timeless, ageless customers like -- yes.

ANDERSON: Yes, like Carlos, Maybe they have some deeper pockets for this luxury brand.

Kim Serafin and Carlos Diaz, good to see you. Thank you both.

All right. Gene Simmons may be an aging rock and roller, but by the looks of the KISS front man`s busy schedule, his age certainly isn`t affecting his work. SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s A.J. Hammer sat down with Simmons, who is about to go on a KISS worldwide tour on the heels of the debut of season three of his family reality show, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."

Well, a funny thing happened right before Simmons embarked on his publicity blitz. A shocking sex tape emerged. But before we get to that, listen to some sage advice Simmons offered Britney Spears.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

SIMMONS: Let me tell you what I would do if I was Britney Spears, besides, number one, getting some psychological help and get rid of your friends. Call up the U.N., leave the country, become a goodwill ambassador, try to do good elsewhere. Get away from media and paparazzi for yourself.

If you`ve got $700,000 coming in every month, you`re OK. It`ll last another year. So if you come back from where were you? I joined the Peace Corps. I did something for -- that was good. You`re reinventing who you are. And by the way, maybe you`re making the world better for just a few more people.

HAMMER: I`d like to congratulate you on the newest season.

SIMMONS: "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."

HAMMER: "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."

SIMMONS: Season 3, debuting March 11th. We`re the number one show they tell us, and actually I`m going to be doing something that every girl in the world has been trying to figure out since time and memorial, and that is has he ever? So I`ll be taking the lie detector test.

And in fact, Shannon Tweed, the love of my life for 25 years, will also be taking one. And that`s going to be more interesting.

HAMMER: Wait now. What are you trying to determine with the lie detector test? Let me ask you because the Gene Simmons legend, of course, before you and the lovely Shannon Tweed, I might add, a lovely woman, before you got together, legend has it, you slept with over 5,000 women. A lot of people, Gene, have called that into question. Are we going to see you take the lie detector test and find out if it`s true?

SIMMONS: Yes, they will see that I will be taking the lie detector test.

HAMMER: Gentlemen, do you think it`s true?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Oh, yes.

HAMMER: You do?

Here`s something that a lot of people do want to know about, because it`s been in the news lately so I got to ask you. This sex tape came out of nowhere over the recent times that is decades old and you say it`s old news. There are those who question the timing of it and could look at it as a publicity stunt, you know, oh, they`re going on tour, he`s launching his new season of the show. Can you set the record straight on whether there`s any truth to that?

SIMMONS: Well, for the record, that is me in the tape. It`s obviously exactly what it looks like. I had no knowledge of the fact. It was done a long time ago. You know, as you can see by the black and white footage. And so what? So move on.

HAMMER: I agree.

SIMMONS: No, I don`t mean to you, I mean to the people out there. You know, get a life. Make your own sex tape, enjoy everything. It just doesn`t mean that much anymore. There`s no violence and stuff. People are fascinated in this kind of Britney sick world of all kinds of issues that they really shouldn`t care about.

It`s just like, you know, it`s fine. If you like it, fine. If not, move on. Doesn`t affect me at all.

HAMMER: No, no, I agree with that. But the fact that it happened to come out right around the time you have some things to publicize. What some people have suggested, ph maybe not such a coincidence.

SIMMONS: You`re saying that I released the tape?

HAMMER: I`m asking you to set the record straight on -- if people should be talking about that.

SIMMONS: I -- they can if they want to. But I didn`t do it.

HAMMER: You don`t have anything to do with it. OK.

SIMMONS: I had nothing to do with it.

HAMMER: Words of Bart Simpson, I didn`t do it.

SIMMONS: But it is fortuitous and fatuitous that it came out at the right time.

HAMMER: How about that.

SIMMONS: At the right time.

(END VIDEOTAPE)

ANDERSON: Gene says make your own sex tape. I`m not so sure about that advice.

That was SHOWBIZ TONIGHT`s A.J. Hammer with Gene Simmons.

You can catch Gene and his family on season three of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels." The season premier is March 11th on A&A.

We have been asking you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT Question of the Day. It is this: celebrity reality shows, should stars keep their kids off reality TV? Keep voting, CNN.com/showbiztonight, e-mail us showbiztonight@cnn.com.

Tonight, there is outrage in Britain over the American media. First, an American Web site leaked the news that Prince Harry was fighting in Afghanistan. Now a host of one of the popular morning news shows has said something about Harry that is not sitting well across the pond. That`s coming up.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

ANDERSON: Thank you, Charles.

Hey, there is outrage in Britain over the American media. And I don`t mean the fact that the "Drudge Report" Web site leaked the news that Prince Harry was fighting in Afghanistan. This time it`s over something "Good Morning America" host Chris Cuomo said on the air Monday.

Take a look.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

CHRIS CUOMO, HOST, ABC`S GOOD MORNING AMERICA: We all know about Prince William. He is the man. He`s the heir.

ROBIN ROBERTS, HOST, ABC`S GOOD MORNING AMERICA: Sure.

CUOMO: Harry has been over to Afghanistan fighting because he`s expendable. So Harry -- so Harry is in Afghanistan.

ROBERTS: Did you say.

CUOMO: It`s true. The reason that Harry is allowed to be in Afghanistan is because he`s not the heir to the throne. William is not allowed to be there.

ROBERTS: But he`s not expendable.

CUOMO: Well, but that`s why he`s there.

ROBERTS: OK.

CUOMO: They all love Harry very much, so do we.

ROBERTS: Good, good. All right.

CUOMO: He`s got great hair.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ANDERSON: All right. So maybe Chris just said, well, a lot of people were thinking and maybe the tabloids do refer to William and Harry as the heir and the spare. But still, probably not the best choice of words, right?

We asked "Good Morning America" for a reaction, they did not have a comment.

All right. Demi Moore`s family may not be conventional but it really seems to be working for everybody involved. Demi is opening up about her marriage to Ashton Kutcher and life with her three daughters with her ex, Bruce Willis, along with some stunning photos.

Look at this.

Demi says she and Bruce have maintained a close relationship and spend holidays as one big family and that it`s great because their daughters don`t have to choose between them and get double the love and support.

As for Bruce and Ashton, Demi says, quote, "One of the most healing things for Bruce was seeing me meet someone who has brought me so much happiness. And I so much want the same for him."

Ashton says it`s all about family, too. He says when he`s not on location shooting a movie, he makes sure that he`s home for dinner by 6:00 every night.

Not a lot of families are doing that anymore. Good for them. For more with Demi Moore, pick up a copy of "Harper`s Bazaar" on newsstands March 28th.

On Tuesday, we asked you to vote on our SHOWBIZ TONIGHT question of the day. It was this: Hollywood`s bad girls, do media treat them worse than the bad boys?

Eighty-six percent of you agree and say yes. Fourteen percent of you say no. And here are some of the e-mails we received.

Craig from California writes, "Guys don`t get pointed out as much as Britney because they don`t perpetuate the problem by showing their crotch, et cetera." Trish from Tennessee says, "The Hollywood bad girls are definitely treated differently than the bad boys. It`s the same old double standard that women have always had to deal with."

Keep sending your e-mails.

That is it for SHOWBIZ TONIGHT. Thank you so much for watching. I`m Brooke Anderson in New York. And remember, you can always catch SHOWBIZ TONIGHT on the 11th, 11:00 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 p.m. Pacific and in the morning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern.

The latest from CNN HEADLINE NEWS is coming up next. Take care.
