DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: And this just in to CNN, we're getting word that a face familiar to many of you who are watching our war coverage -- you'll be interested in this news. Tori Clarke, spokesman for the Pentagon, is stepping down. No word exactly on why she's choosing to leave her post, but this will be the second high ranking spokesperson in Washington over the last month that has decided to step down. Ari Fleischer, the White House spokesperson, being the other one deciding that he's had enough. He quit -- he announced his intention to quit last weekend. Now it's Tori Clarke.
BILL HEMMER, CNN ANCHOR: Just one of the handful of faces and voices that we saw from the Pentagon, not only going back to the war in Iraq, but also Afghanistan prior to that.

KAGAN: And for people who have followed her career, she used to work for John McCain. She's been around Washington for a while.

HEMMER: We wish her the best.

KAGAN: Yes, we do.

HEMMER: When we get it.
