WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: I want to go back to Florida now.
Senator Bob Graham is making it official. He's announcing he's a candidate for president of the United States. Let's listen in a little bit to his remarks.

SEN. BOB GRAHAM (D), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: ... that continues the neverending adventure of expanded democracy, an America that looks to the dawn and the spring, an America whose sights are always higher, never lower, an American whose aspirations are greater, never lessened. That is why I am today declaring that I am a candidate for the president of the United States of America.

(APPLAUSE)

Friends, I am running for president to bring back our economy. As governor, I led in the creation of over 1 million new jobs in this state. Increased investments in education, housing, infrastructure, and we still kept one of the lowest tax rates in the nation.

As a senator, I helped expand the earned income tax credit, tax breaks for small businesses and homeowners, and tax deductions to help pay the cost of college tuition.

As president of the United States, I will revive the economy with needed investments in transportation, education and targeted tax cuts. That is not just my promise. That is the promise of America.

(CHEERS)

BLITZER: Bob Graham, the senator from Florida, the former governor, two-term governor of Florida. Now officially, the ninth Democratic candidate, the ninth Democratic presidential hopeful, making it official in Florida, outlining the reasons why he believes he should be the next president of the United States.
