Kenyan Police Releasing Sketches

Aired December 9, 2002 - 06:50   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

CAROL COSTELLO, CNN ANCHOR: We're just getting breaking news out of Kenya right now. This is very sketchy, so bear with me.
Kenyan police are releasing computer simulated sketches of two men that they believe are the prime suspects in last month's attacks in Mombasa. As you recall, an Israeli owned hotel was attacked and 16 people died. There was also a missile attack on a jetliner. Now, police are not releasing these men's names or their nationalities. They just want to see if anyone recognizes them. These composites were made based on eyewitness accounts.

Now, they have been shown to FBI agents in the United States, but the FBI is not commenting on them right now. We're going to show you those computer generated images a lot here on CNN, so stay with us as we get more information in.
