| Breaking NewsOne Dead in Lear Jet Crash Near Boca Raton, FloridaAired June 23, 2000 - 12:56 p.m. ETTHIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED. JEANNE MESERVE, CNN ANCHOR: A plane has gone down west of Boca Raton. CNN now can confirm that one person has died, that according to the fire department. A small charter plane, identified by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Lear 55 went down near an apartment complex, hitting one of the buildings. It happened just about an hour ago. There are many conflicting reports about this crash at this point, including reports that two aircraft might have been involved, one of them a helicopter. One eyewitness is also telling the Associated Press that one person may have tried to parachute to save themselves. There is much we do not know at this hour, but a full report is coming up on "CNN TODAY" at the top of the hour. I'm Jeanne Meserve.
