How well do you #KnowJersey?

During the latest episode of “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” the CNN host headed “down the shore” to highlight what makes his home state great – from fried hot dogs at Hiram’s Roadstand in Fort Lee to clams in drawn butter in the beach town of Barnegat Light.

“To know Jersey is to love her,” he said.

New Jersey: Magic, not tragic

As Bourdain contemplated Atlantic City’s comeback and played pinball with Southside Johnny in Asbury Park, we prompted viewers to share their own fond memories of the Garden State with the hashtag #KnowJersey.

Facebook user Matthew Talty: From the mountains to the shore, from the lakes to the beaches, from the farms to Ferris wheels, New Jersey has it all. The world famous produce, the delectable cuisine, blue ribbon school districts in bucolic towns and vibrant cities, a history spanning 400 years. A choice of life in the fast land or easy kickin’, Jersey is sweet.

Facebook user Janet Stoltz Burnett: Just calling it the shore was music to my ears. You went to all the places I went to as a kid. Saw the horse dive into the sea. Saw The Herman Hermits on Steel Pier . Salt water taffy. LBI my favorite place. When I can’t get to sleep I tell myself … let’s go to the shore. It’s my happy place. In my mind I put on my suit. Pregrease. But on my Audience album to Indian Summer. Bam … I’m out. I love Jersey.

Facebook user Miranda Stephanie: New Jersey is an amazing state – don’t knock it until you go there! My husband is from West Virginia and had his own very inaccurate and negative ideas about NJ until I took him there. I’ve definitely converted him. NJ is NOT the state you hear about or see on TV. It’s a place you have to see for yourself and guaranteed, you’ll fall in love. Def LOVE my state
